All subways are the same what makes a difference of the person who makes a sandwich. The person who made ours was very helpful coaches and did it exactly the way we wanted — nice tasty resultf

It’s a typical subway but only bummer is they don’t answer the phone to take phone orders. The gal today said she doesn’t even hear a phone ring.

I normally don’t post on fast food or Subways but I have to say this Lafayette location is always extremely clean fast and efficient. I did arrive around 11:30 before the lunch crowd and the entire process was quick and easy.

Expect Poor service at this location. After first sandwich maker was swamped, a second lady(Finara?) Came out of the back. It seemed she was wiping the sleep out her eyes. She spoke loudly in Spanish to her coworker without acknowledging us. She then proceeded to sloppily make our sandwiches. We had to ask her several times to make our sandwiches properly. We had to inspect our meatball sandwiches because she was shortchanging us on ingredients, from meatballs to lettuce, grumbling all the while. Evening service seems to be better and more friendly.

Horrible service, there was a line out the door while the manager was sitting outside on the curb text messaging. When she came inside she threw my food around together like a sloppy joe and then went to the corner and laid her head against the wall as if she did not want to be there. I went back on a second occasion at the same time(11am) and sure enough to find her sitting outside on the phone once again while there was only 1 person at the register.

I came here simply because it’s on my way to the high school. There is only one guy who know what to do! The other day they had a new person that did not knew what’s goes where! The owner was 2 feet away but decided not to say a ward! The sandwiches are just ok, and the service need a lot of improvement !

I love Subway! However, the morning staff at this location should be reevaluated/replaced. I walked in to an empty store. After a few moments, a woman appeared from the back, put on gloves, and just looked at me. Not once did she speak to me during my entire order. Did not ask me what type of bread I wanted, what type of sandwich, cheese, nothing! Then when it came time to check out, she did finally speak to me, but it was not to tell me my total — it was to tell me to «swipe». I was handed my receipt, and she turned and continued on her way to the back of the store. Quite rude if you ask me! I have been in here on other occasions when she was working and she’s very chatty with some of the men who appear to be regulars(who also scores free cookies from her :)), but then it’s back to her rude self when she moves on to the next customer. I will probably go here again — just not as often. I am not sure how the afternoon and evening service compare, but if this employee is working on either of those shifts, I am sure it’s not any better.

We entered Subway in Lafayette on the morning of October 5th. The employee was in the bathroom for a long time and when she finally came out I politely mentioned to her that we were in a bit of a hurry. With that, she works on putting her hair up in a bun, putting on an apron and gloves. She started my son’s sandwich and put it in the toaster without asking if he wanted it toasted. I asked her if she could ring me up then, because we were in a hurry. Instead, she started a phone in order. The sandwich came out and she added the extras. At the point, all she had to do was cut the sandwich in half and wrap it up. Instead, she stopped, turned and started putting loaves of bread in the oven. We finally gave up and left. I have not experienced such poor, rude and surely service in a long time. I would suggest to the manager that he/she find an employee who actually cares about the job and the customers. I will not go back!

Its a Subway… What do you expect. However, the lines do seem to go very quick here even when its 5 – 6 people deep waiting. The place is always clean and I always seem to get a smile and a «have a great day» from most of the staff.

$ 5 foot-longs :-) Fast, friendly service. Clean. No trouble parking. When you need a switch from the standard fast-food fare, Subway is the place to go.

Comparing Subway to AG Ferrari is like comparing Dennys to Chez Panisse. Not same category, price or quality. OK so when you know have to feed half a dozen kids lunch at an outdoor venue but you are leaving at 9 am and don’t feel like making all those sandwiches yourself, you can stop by here at 9 in the morning and they’ll do it all for you. I’d go to Safeway first but it’s on the other side of town and they aren’t anywhere as fast and do 10 year olds really care? It is clean, the staff are very fast and if you have a really big order you can go in the day before, order and pay and they’ll have the sandwiches ready. A big bag of chips and some apples and bananas and you are ready to hit the road. Works for kid taxi purposes

I’m giving this 4 stars just for the good service provided by the person working behind the counter last Sunday night. I believe her name is Lutsceh(my apologies if I got the name wrong). This person actually CARES about doing a good job and it showed thru her cheerful attitude. She made a fine sandwich too. Keep up the good work girl!

Great place, right next to Casa, so you can bring people and if they don’t like healthy option they can walk next door. — Friendly owner — Clean & good service — Parking can be little difficult during peak hours as the parking lot is not that big — Can’t beat the prices

I can’t believe the reviews on here call this place«clean». I would hate to see what their homes look like. This place is gross. So gross. I walked in one hot summer day. The food was all exposed and you could easily see that even the mayo and mustard was going bad. Run don’t walk away from this place. I will never eat at a Subway ever again.

I’ve given this place over 5 chances, and it has failed me every single time. I have my sandwich order down to a science, and most other Subways I go to make it pretty much perfectly. This place never fails to give me a headache: Me: «No cheese please.» SW: «Swiss?» Me: «No. No sauce either. Just lettuce.» SW: «Mustard?» Me: «No.» SW: «Tomatoes?» Me: «No.» I don’t know if they can’t understand me or if they just choose to ignore me. I once saw them completely ignore a man who had phoned in an order, after he stood there asking them where it was for five minutes. They also seem to ignore my request for fresh bread since I started asking them for whatever was most recently baked(the couple times before that resulted in stale bread). It was still stale. Even after I asked. I’ve lost my faith here. You’d be better off going to Casa.

When you have picky kids, you can stop here and casa at the same time! This subway seems to be a bit larger than others, which I appreciate. Plus it has a good sized lot for parking. Always clean, and the people are very nice.

all of the reviews for Subway pretty much hit the nail on the head… BS — super cheap — $ 5 for a certain footlongs & $ 2.996 inch subs of the day — parking lot can be packed and usually is — there is often a line especially during lunch line — very clean subway with good service — if you’ve been to any subway, expect the same I visit Subway a couple times a month. it’s usually LAST on my list to eat it if I have money, and sometimes FIRST if I’m broke! You can get a sandwhich of way better quality at Safeway, get a grilled philly cheese steak @ the Cheesesteak Shop, get a toasty sub from Quizno’s(expect to pay $ 7 at least), or go to one of the small specialty places around Lafayette… there’s plenty of choices and subway is all right. Today I got a Chicken Breast on Wheat. I wasn’t very satisfied but its healthier then fast food, but still cheap. Expect to not be be impressed at Subway and find yourself eating here because of convenience!

Out of all the sandwich food chains this is my least favorite to go to. But working close to this location, subway is the only place to go for sandwiches without making a drive out to Safeway. Not really a fan of Subway at all. The sandwiches are more like salads because they pack it with a ton of lettuce. I don’t know… there’s just something about subway that isn’t all that appetizing. However, the location of this subway is on a main street right across the street from Ace Hardware. Parking during peak hours(ie lunch time 11:30 — 1:30) can be difficult both in the lot and on the street… but people come and go so you won’t be waiting too long for a parking spot. The workers are pretty nice, I think maybe a little on the non-speaking english side so communication can be confusing sometimes(I like my bread toasted before the tuna is put on and sometimes they toast it after the tuna is put on when I specifically told them toast before tuna). It’s pretty clean inside and the workers look as if they take the precautions of washing hands or wearing gloves when preparing food. If the food was decent then this place would get more stars… but the quality isn’t there.

I think it takes a lot of courage to review Subway. First, you have to admit that you actually eat there. Second, you have to admit that you like the food. And third, you know you’re going to get flamed if any of your friends find their way to Unilocal.Nonetheless, as a lifetime member of the«foot in mouth» club, I’m going to give a «shout out»(my kids cringe every time I use this expression) to Subway. Yes, you can still count on all of the negative stereotypes about Subway. But underneath the heavy accents and twice worn latex gloves, they actually have two sandwiches worth eating — the meat ball with provolone and turkey with avocado. Be sure to stay away from the olives, pickles, hot peppers, and mayo if you want to enjoy the turkey and DO put on the honey mustard. Honestly(does this mean that everything before this was a lie?), these sandwiches taste pretty good and you can’t go wrong for $ 5. By the way, if you’re ever at a soccer tournament in Morgan Hill, try the Subway down the street. For some reason, their meatball sandwich tastes better. Geez, now I’ve admitted to frequenting multiple subways… Stay tuned for my forthcoming Jacques in the Box reviews.
