Love the fried chicken! and its gluten free! Love the unique sides. I was never a fan of brussel sprouts but after having them here… huge fan!!!

Pretty hard not to like. Food is good, atmosphere is likely, beer if good too. It’s not low calorie fare, but I haven’t had anything on the menu that wasn’t enjoyable. The chicken, both styles, is just terrific. I’m not a huge fan of the beer. For me as a hophead it’s just OK, but the beer does compliment the food and the experience.

The combination of great southern inspired food, fantastic beer and cozy atmosphere makes this place a gem! The servers are very knowledgable and were able to answer all of my questions. Its a great place for a date night, family dinner or to meet a friend for drinks. There are just not enough great things to say about The Post! Make a reservation, they get really busy but the wait is completely worth it!

Went here for the first time about a week ago, my daughter told us how good the fried chicken was, she told the truth, it was very good, as will was everything else. They also my very good pies, but very expensive, but very good. We went off peak plus had reservation so no wait, but was told by staff there can be long waits to get in, no pick you’re times. Services was also very good.

I’m a huge fan of big red F. Awesome staff and yummy food. I would recommend changing up the menu a bit. We used to go there at least once a week but it can get a little monotonous as the menu is short. Love the staff. Always knowledgeable and friendly.

I have been here several times and thoroughly enjoyed it every time. Everything we have had is delicious. We have been here for date night, with friends, and with our kids. Love that they have an outdoor area that is good for kids and us. We will continue to go back again and again here. I recommend.

Awesome place. The chicken is a bit pricey but is so good that it is worth it. My fiancée and I usually split the 4 piece fried chicken and get extra country gravy, a couple biscuits, and a side. The green chili mac and cheese is our favorite side. Don’t overlook the salad! It is seriously one of the best salads I have had. The beer is also good, I like the oatmeal stout. Could not recommend enough.

First off, if you are running a microbrewery you should bring beer when someone orders it. I ordered a sampler of three beers and it never came. My wife and a friend ordered the fried fish, another friend and I ordered the roast beef. The food was passable, but nothing to write home about. I had the beet and sweet potato side. That was the best thing we had out of everything. The service was a bit slow, and as I mentioned, the beer I ordered never came. Parking is limited, although this was Friday night so it was pretty busy when we got there around 5:00.

Awesome beer, but I feel the food is a bit overpriced. Not that it was bad, just that it is pricey, and limited.

I love the post. Great food, great service a d now they are offering gluten free breading options. It’s great family environment to let the kids play out back while you’re eating and hanging with friends. It’s a little pricey but good food often is.

I love this place! Great for kids! Nice kids menu with ice cream included(but only if you ask the server to bring it). Good food and beer! Make sure to check out the special side dishes made each day before making your selection. Some of the best dishes we’ve had here were side dishes not on the regular menu. There was a backyard area with games for young and old when we visited. And a sit down Pac Man game near the restrooms and kitchen. Elkhorn taproom in the back for adults. Plus a little library at the southwest corner of Emma and Roosevelt where you can borrow and leave books. Check it out!

Fried chicken and beer is the best combo ever invented! Here is what I thought of the food/beer: Fried chicken with gravy: it wasn’t anything special. seemed like pretty standard fried chicken you can get from anywhere else. Spicy fried chicken: We had to try it b/c our server told us this item was the staff favorite. Oh. My. God. «Spicy» is definitely and understatement. This is beyond spicy. my whole mouth was on FIRE. At one point I had to go to the restroom to wash my mouth out. lol. Nonetheless, I did like this dish because it had a unique taste to it. Mixture of sour. spicy. salty. hahaha it’s the greatest mixture. But I warn you, it’s SPICY. Mac n cheese and waffles: these were the sides we got. if you’re ordering the spicy friend chicken. these will help neutralize the fire in your mouth. not the best mac n cheese and waffles. but it was still good. now for the beer. their selection wasn’t much. and I was pretty disappointed with the beer I tried. My friend and I tried their 3 flight samplers. which is $ 6. None of them had me wanting more. I don’t think I would come back here. especially because it’s so far and out of the way for me. but I would recommend it to people who love fried chicken. the spicy one is something you should experience at least once hehe.

The rest of the family liked brunch, but they don’t offer their full menu(and I didn’t like anything on the brunch menu) so I sat while everyone else ate. We weren’t asked for our drink order and when my husband wanted a refill, he was brought the wrong thing.

I’ve been here twice now and I still feel like I’ve barely scratched the surface! I came here once for a wedding after party where we were served all the happy hour apps(deviled eggs, wings etc.) and we sampled what felt like all of their beer. Everything was delicious. The Post smells delicious. They need to bottle that smoky scent. I’d buy it. The inside and outside are nice and fun too. The second time I returned I got the chicken and waffles. I personally have never ordered chicken and waffles. I make my husband order it and then sample. Yes I’m that girl. So I ate this whole plate and was MOSTLY happy. My only complaint is that I get it’s a savory/sweet combo, but they had this awesome maple pecan butter on the waffle, which was amazing, and then next to it in a cold, gelatinous smear, was gravy. I don’t see how the two go together. Also my chicken was topped with pickled veggies. I like pickled veggies but not with maple pecan butter and maple syrup. If they going to give you the options of going more sweet or more savory then things should be on the plate separately and in maybe warmed cups or something rather than the cold, sad state in which the gravy arrived. I should have gotten the pie for dessert, but opted for the cobbler. Peaches are no longer in season, so I should have known better, but it was still good. My husband got the peanut butter cookies with marscapone? and a jam. It wasn’t too sweet, which was nice, but it could have used something. Pie next time. I’m still totally happy to go back and order other things. :)

Stopped by for Sunday brunch. Their waffles are a must try, same with the biscuits, fried chicken and deviled eggs. Will most definitely come back for more! The seared greens that come with Post in a Hole were particularly nostalgic to me. Reminded me instantly of my mom’s, super garlicy. If that’s not your jam, be warned. Really heavy on the garlic. For me, it was perfection. Grits were really creamy too. As a whole, very tasty but could have just used a touch more salt, but I’m a sodium crack addict. :) Probably just fine for regular normal people!

Been hearing about this place for a while. Went on Friday so was expecting a very long wait as the whole area was loaded with cars. But then it was First Friday — the monthly art festival in Lafeyette. Two of us got right in. We went for the chicken. Chicken was very tender with a nice, dare I say, fried skin. They also serve roasted chicken. Ordered collard greens which is not typical for me but when the terrific waitress suggested red wine vinegar, I took the bait and boy were the greens fantastic then. In fact we were given attention by at least three wait staff so we felt totally welcomed. Also got the mac and cheese which has a bit of fire. Not your standard mac and cheese at all but a nice variation on the theme. Tons of beer, craft and otherwise but not my personal fav — anything nitrogen infused. Once you’ve had it, don’t think you’ll go back — very smooth. So we settled for wine — the house Chard was just right. Took home a piece of pecan pie. I am now deeply in love. I’m a real fan of The Post.

So my manicurist at my spa gym recommended this place to me and I have to say I really listen to her when she tells me & well as suggest food places I ask her about seriously because she is the Best and I hold her in high regards so to speak. :) She said I’d love the prices and food here & oh my was she RIGHT!!! I Loved 99% of everything I had here and plan 2go back soon to rate more. So we hit a hardcore 9am Athletic Interval workout for an hour of HIIT&TABATA and decided PERFECT to have a Great food exp.here. OMO!(oh my ono) local style… The Devil Eggs app. was oooohh Sooo good, w/the crisy meat on top, and thr garlic fries were dang & garlicky for the most part(can u imagine when I ask 4Xtra Xtra garlic like I do at Gorden Biersch?(rhetorical?) Although I very much dislike ordering same entrée as my hubs or anyone else, the menu was limited and I really also felt like the Chick. WaFFs. Wholly freaken Hell! Their Waffles No Joke Freaken ORGASMIC!!! Well For me that is. I love the amount maple butter on it and the size of boneless chicken. So Delicious. I usually eat 4my blood type & am a fitness health fanatic, but Ummm. well. basically when trying a place this DAM good. I’m Like what? Bring on the HeartAttack Baby… HaHaHa Well Worth it, but NOT their Whoopie Pies… SOOOONASTY!!!

A great place to eat and drink. I can’t believe it took so long to find the Post and Brewing Company. The atmosphere is casual and friendly with terrific wait staff. The menu is small with fantastic daily sides. The chicken is tender and flavorful with a great crunch on the fried. The chilli mac and cheese was awesome. We’ll be back and it won’t be long. Everything on the menu was tempting so we will have to work our way through it.
