Fawn Memories

Adorable little beach shop selling an assortment of Laguna Beach themed gifts, trinkets, and apparel. They are located in downtown, so parking is only available via metered street parking or private lots.
My husband and I strolled through here and purchased a couple shirts. They have sizes for women/​men/​children of all ages, and their designs are really cute. Pricing is a little on the higher end, but nothing outrageous. Unfortunately, service was poor. There were two ladies working the store — one was friendly and helpful, while the other seemed cold. She would follow me throughout the shop and immediately run over and re-​fold all of the shirts I had looked at. It was extremely uncomfortable and unwelcoming.
I wish we felt comfortable enough to go back, because we really loved their shirts!

I’ve been shopping here about 25 years along with all the other shops in the little downtown part of Laguna Beach and I always end up buying my casual t-​shirts, sweatshirts, shorts, etc here. The quality and prices surpass all the other casual shops. The designs and prints also outdo any of the other stores overall.
If you want embossed quality sweatshirts they have a really nice selection. If you want just a stamped on version print they seem to know what’s in style. Every time I shop here I usually buy 10 – 12 nice shirts/​sweatshirts. After shopping the competition in hopes of finding maybe a new place with exciting fun casual clothes I always end up back at Fawn Memories.
They also carry souvenirs which are nicer quality and priced competitively.
George has been the owner for 40 years. Celebrating this year. He always will help me and any customer he sees and keeps the store very tidy.

I have been coming here 20 years with every trip to Laguna. I buy all my visitor goodies then go to the post office next door to ship to myself in Marin. Owner is super helpful and nice.

It’s avery touristy shop but I like it. They have pretty good items in here: shirts, jewelry and etc. The Staff is so sweet and they give you a cute bag for your items. It’s a little hidden and not in the main area, which is great because it doesn’t get too packed. I bought some amazing shirts and jewelry from here and I live in the area.

Great store for both tourists and locals. As a local, it is where I go to purchase hats for the summer, or shirts to mail to out-​of-​state friends/​family. And, I admit, my husband and I have a couple of Laguna Beach t-​shirts ourselves, from Fawn Memories. The stock and selection is always good. They are reasonably priced. The customer service is consistently good. And the owner is a wonderful gentleman who has offered on more than one occasion to try to find something for me that he didn’t have in stock any longer (ie: a handbag I used to get every other year).

Love this place! Always can find a cute hat or fun purse. My hubby like loves their selection of t-​shirts. Nice selection of shells and witch balls too.

Great place to buy souvenirs. It is located at the end of Forest Ave in the Laguna Beach village. Nice selection of t-​shirt and sweatshirts without outrageous prices. Compared to the Crazy shirts where a t-​shirt can be $ 26.00 to $ 32.00. the t-​shirts at Fawn memories were $ 18.00. I purchased a t-​shirt and a sweatshirt for the girlfriend.
Fawn memories offer scenic photographs, posters. post card and beach knick-​knacks. The girlfriend purchased one of the those metal surfing beach signs similar to the ones you see at swap meets. Neat stuff. Friendly customer service, I talked to the owner about old Volkswagen buses.
It is fun playing tourist at a beach town.

Right on Rayne! «The laid back man behind the counter» is George and Fawn Memories, in my humbe opinion, is everything a So Cal gift shop should be (and my wife and I have been in a ton of ‘em from Santa Barbara to La Jolla). My trademark Dorfman Pacific hat and assortment of colorful John Wayne Old Guys Rule tees are all products of George’s shop and not only do they carry lines of imaginative and quality products, all the help staff are all very personable and friendly!
Out of towners may enjoy tapping George (when traffic in the shop subsides) for local stories about Laguna and the Woodies car club. He’s a treasure chest of colorful local lore since 1974.

I’m surprised no one has rated this store yet because it’s such an awesome shop! There are just tons of stuff from men and women clothing to little toys or even stuff animals. It’s like a treasure trove and a great place to find the perfect gift for your beach-​y friends. I bought a really cute shirt the other day with Laguna Beach on it for my «OC» friend, lol — I’m sure she’ll love it. And of course, since I’m an eco-​friendly type of girl — I just had to get the pretty bamboo bag for myself. The prices are good and the man at the counter was very laid-​back and nice. I’ve got to come back because there was too many goodies that I just wanted to buy… hmm. a stuff animal for my niece… ok, I’ve got to go back — and then hit the beach with all my pals later. Laguna Beach is definitely the best!
