This location is beautiful due to its view of the ocean and I visit this location whenever I complete my weekly hike. However, I have noticed that there is a very bad energy from the employees and they aren’t fit for customer service. There is a blond skinny girl specifically who has a grimace on her face the entire time. I understand this location is crowded but if you can’t handle that with some kind of an effort to appear approachable and kind, I don’t see why you can’t find another job. Other than that, the drinks are decent but the employees always rush through them and I get very average ones but again, I expect that since they are attempting to deal with the packed lines. I will still come back due to the location but have to work on my patience with the bad attitudes up front.

There’s a guy that works here named Kevin, every time I go in there he’s so sweet and kind and all smiles! I went in today and while I waited for my drink I sat in my car(i’m almost 9 months pregnant so the chairs in there aren’t very comfortable) and when I went in to get my drink and muffin, he was on his way out the door to bring it to me in my car! I’m a server so I appreciate kind gestures like that and they were kind of busy so the fact that he would take the time to walk it out to my car Meant a lot to me!!! Keep smiling Kevin you make my day every time I come in there thank you!!!

I came on Wednesday afternoon. It was packed. Parking is a nightmare. I would wait in the gas station next door until a spot opens up. There was ONEPERSON making drinks. Holy smokes are they understaffed. Despite all of these negative aspects, I really like this location because the view of the beach is so gorgeous, it’s pretty roomy inside, and my drink tasted just right. If you have the time to wait for your parking spot and drink, I would definitely recommend coming here.

Stopped by on a busy Sunday afternoon. I had the privilege of being the customer that I hate being behind in line. I had to put $ on my Starbucks card and was ordering for 9 people(sorry to the locals behind me). Drinks were out fast, order was accurate, and staff was courteous… what more could I ask for? parking 7 motorcycles was a challenge(even 1 car would be a nihgtmare), but it looked like there was more foot traffic from Main Beach than anywhere else. Definately recommend this location.

The best choice for a Starbucks near the ocean in Laguna Beach, but BEWARE the misleading label on their product with the Strawberry Blueberry Yogurt parfait. When you look at the tiny font ingredient list, blueberries are listed last, a minuscule amount. Shame on Starbucks for a misleading label. When CocaCola’s minute maid brand sold a product as pomegranate blueberry, when the berries were less than 1%, the U. S Supreme Court expressed great displeasure.

Talk about location! On the PCH, the ocean right across the street, makes this a pretty great spot to grab some coffee. Service was fine, a bit slow, the store is small and can get super full, so plan on taking it to go. My java chip frappé tasted great and hit the spot on a sunny afternoon

Located in Laguna right across the street from the beach and the main lifeguard office sits this Starbucks which is always(as expected) incredibly CROWDED. My wife was desperate for a cold drink on a unseasonably hot day and insisted we go in despite my disdain for this coffee chain. She ordered an iced mocha frappuccino. After 7 people who ordered after us got their drinks, hers finally came up. She was handed her drink which, unbeknownst to her, had a cracked lid. The coffee spilled from the crack all over and inside her purse. The barista could have cared less and walked away. After doing her best to sop up the drink from the inside of her purse with a napkin and bemoaning the stains that now adorned the outside of her expensive purse, she couldn’t get anyone to give her a new lid — everyone ignored her. So she left without a lid. She let me have a few sips as we walked away and I immediately noticed the lack of mocha flavor. I realized it had been poorly mixed with all the chocolate sitting at the bottom of the cup. Starbucks, you suck the big one.

Horrible customer service!!! I came in 30 mins BEFORE they closed and the guy working wouldn’t let my bf and I use the restroom! After I purchased more than 6 drinks for my family. Never coming back again.

I frequent Starbucks every week and this was the worst experience I’ve had at this Starbucks. barista blamed me for when she made my drink in correctly and I stated two or three times she was too busy talking to the other employees to pay attention to taking my order. never again

This place gets 3 stars because it is a fun location with a good view of main beach. Over the years I’ve become less and less of a Starbucks fan because of the ingredients they use(lots of chemicals, additives, non-gmo ingredients) and I think they are overhyped. However, that is not to say that I might never find myself in one again. Anyways… this place has a fun location, but that also means that parking is a pain! It has a very small parking lot and it is located in a very busy spot, so if you don’t find a spot in the lot — good luck!

Thank you. For making up for the awful Starbucks down the street. These guys, have got it going on! I judge hard I guess because I work for Starbucks. But dangg :) this store made me proud. Not only did they fix the drinks that the one down the street repetitively messed up. But they were sweet about it. Probably understood as they were rolling out drinks like a machine!

A girl in a bikini is sleeping on the leather comfort chair and another leather chair has sand all over it. Guess that’s their Laguna beach way. Has an ocean view though

Had a terrible Starbucks experience here. Yes, we were tourists; whatever. Anyway, the cashier(female) was alright– nothing special. Not super friendly like they are by our local one in Burbank that we frequent. But, the male barista who gave my boyfriend his drink was incredibly rude. Yeah, I get it. You work at Starbucks and are inundated with tourists all day, but you know what? Just go ahead and suck it up and be friendly to people. He was just downright rude – he set the drink on the counter, didn’t even call out the name on the cup, and turned away. And before that, he’d given me the stink-eye because I set two bags(small and NOT in the way in the slightest) on the counter so I could check my phone really quickly. Sure, it’s crowded, sure it’s hard work to work all day on your feet and mixing drinks and blending stuff and many of us have been there– but, maybe he should put in a transfer or just quit and find something where he won’t be so miserable all the time. Luckily for this Starbucks, they don’t have to worry about repeat business, since it’s mostly tourists; although, I still doubt that Corporate would like to hear that they’re being rude. I only wish I had the gentleman’s name to include in this review. Should we return to the area of Laguna, this will not be our Starbucks of choice. Or, if it is, I’ll make sure to be EXTRA difficult and rude. Just for that male barista.

As a huge starbucks addict, I NEED to compliment the barista/coffee mogul, Rob, every time my fiancé and I go there(about 3 – 4 times a week) he makes our drinks PERFECT. He’s introduced us to new things that we are hooked on and is ALWAYS friendly and helpful. He seems like he really loves his job and I hope he gets recognition for this as I can not say enough about this guy, GREATJOBROB! Location is great too, gets busy, not too much parking in front but you can park down the street and enjoy the view walking there. They have great seating, décor, always clean, great ambiance, and very quiet-so you can study or work there! Only thing they need is another desk! It is always taken when I go there. Err! THANKYOUSTARBUCKS. :)

I was really confused about the location of this Starbucks until I realized that there are two — one just north of Broadway/133 and one just south. This one does have a small parking lot — I counted nine spaces, but they were all full when I arrived around 11AM, so I parked in the free lot across from the Festival of the Arts, and walked in. It was pretty packed; all the little tables and chairs and bar space was full except for the counter by the baristas. I got an iced green tea with light ice and light sweetner, and plopped down at the counter, where there are no outlets and the chairs were too short for me. After about twenty minutes, someone left the bar by the window, so I swooped over and took her seat. The seat was still kind of short, and the bar was pretty narrow so my laptop barely fit, but there were two sets of outlets under the bar, which was what I needed. The view to the beach is presently blocked by a bunch of construction and chain link fences, though you can still sort of see around to the beach. There is plenty of foot traffic and dogs and children that pass by since the window overlooks PCH. It started getting pretty sunny as the afternoon went on, but fortunately it also started to get a lot less busy, and by around one, the place had pretty much cleared out, and I was able to snag a small table in the lofted area, which also had plenty of outlets. The staff was pleasant and friendly while I was there, and knew the regulars by name. There is a ton of sand on the floor, but I think that comes with the territory of being right across from the beach. The bathrooms are large and clean. This is a great place to camp out and watch the beachgoers, and the view(when not obstructed by construction) is probably pretty good. Previous Unilocaler comments about ‘two levels” is a bit deceptive, since it’s really more like a sunken living room and slightly lofted(half a dozen stairs) seating area. There are two little sections of outdoor seating, but the noise from PCH is a bit much. This is probably up there with the Crystal Cove Starbucks as one of my favourite Orange County locations.

The staff here is rather indifferent, probably due to the crush of tourists they get here. But if you want to kill some time, like the ocean breeze and people watching this is the place to be. Parking is non-existant. Grab the first spot you see.

Here are the Best 3 things about this location… #3. It is the Standard Starbucks menu. #2. It has TWO levels of an OCEANVIEW. .. can’t beat it! .. . and number one… #1. JANICE ~ She’s the sweet lady behind the counter in the mornings.
There is more than one Starbucks in Laguna Beach. I prefer the one with Janice, simply, because she is so sweet every morning. You can NOT be in a bad mood after ordering your coffee drink from her. She remembers people’s names and I’m a newer customer but she fakes like she knows mine and treats me just as special as the person before me. Look, I’m just saying.. . go to THIS Starbucks(in the morning), any Starbucks can make your same drink…but go to this one, and you will just feel better about your morning and the day that is about to begin. ..

WHere’s the bathroom… at the gas station… really! This starbucks has saved me several times– strangely never busy– but do visit the bakery around the corner for some tasty desserts.

The barista who helped me was sweet but the drink I ordered was weird. I ordered a Tazo Iced Tea Lemonade Green Tea without sweetener. Japanese Green Tea is not meant to be sweetened so what was I thinking ordering it? I was thirsty, I’ll admit that. I kind of thought it might be a good drink, however, the citrus in the lemonade combined with the green tea make for a strange combination. I liked it well enough and I finished all of it but I would not order this particular drink again. I usually feel that the drink sizes at Starbucks are too small but in this case it was okay. I should have ordered a Frappuccino or Iced Latte. Lesson learned.

Rude rude rude! I’m sorry, I can’t give this location a decent review. Don’t give your customers attitude because you couldn’t take our order down properly and when you are politely corrected-never storm off in a childish huff. I was once a barista at Starbucks so I know what a complicated drink order is — ours by far was quite simple. If you can’t take down an iced Venti green tea and a grande non-fat mocha-then frankly my dear you SHOULD be unemployed. I wish I had this girl’s name because by far after the hundreds of Starbucks I have visited all around the world, she by far takes the cake of the WORST Starbucks employee. If I could give negative stars I would.
