I am a native East Coaster, grew up with DD, naturally I was very excited for this to open. And, bonus, it’s on my way to work– I work night shift, so I had very high hopes. Unfortunately, the first couple of times I went here were a disaster. Multiple times they got my order wrong, charged me for the wrong items, or forgot items I paid for. I read in another review they tried to put donuts in a brown bag for them, they did this once to me, tried putting 2 dozen munchkins in a bag, and I told them no, they need to put in in a box(which they had!), what kind of crap is that? They also got my coffee and/or latte wrong so many times I don’t know why I kept going back. Probably because my options are limited at 9−10pm at night on the way to work. But FINALLY it has gotten better. I never go to DD for the Donuts– most East Coasters don’t go for the donuts. I like their coffee and lattes. If I’m getting coffee I get a medium with 2 creams and 1 sweet and low(Yes you are supposed to tell them the amount of creams/sugars). The coffee never seems to come out as good as back east. It’s inconsistent. The lattes are finally coming out right. I like the caramel latte with a turbo shot added in. The breakfast sandwiches are good. I stick to the wake-up wraps(about $ 1.00) and hash browns(less than a dollar!). Those two menu items are usually done right and are really good. The bagels are pretty good as well. If you are going to get donuts, I suggest just doing munchkins.

This is the third time I have been to this DD and why I keep coming back I don’t know. The coffee is just ok and don’t even get me stared on the Dounuts… The Dounuts taste stale and are very dry. I dont think they make there own, but just glaze frozen ones. Ordered and apple fritter it had a sort of apple taste but no apple’s in it at all. I paid 4 dollars for a chocolate milk and when I complained about the price to the girl at the register she just shrug her shoulders and rolled her eye’s at me. I later realized that I had bought a protein drink. I feel she should have let me know that it wasn’t a chocolate milk and redirected me to the right product. Basically Coffie = ok Dounuts = suck Customers service = sucks Comming back = NO!

Been there 2x now and I enjoy it a lot. Been waiting for a long time for them to come here. Wish there were other locations besides this one. It is a bit far from the house and out of the way on way to work. Unless I’m out in the area or need to hit the freeway by that location, I will go and order. Both times the staff are nice and friendly. Not sure how busy inside gets since the last few times there’s only been a few patrons inside. The drive-thru I’ve seen busy in the AM. Be sure to sign up for the perks program. If you are going to get coffee/lunch/donuts whatever, it pays to be part of the program and receive perks for your purchases. My first order was a black dark roast iced coffee and a donut. I enjoyed em both. My only concern w/the ice coffee is that they put too much ice and its not much coffee. I try to remember to say«light» on the ice. Keep that in mind if you order and iced drink 2nd time I ordered a black dark roast hot coffee and a choc donut. Again, both were good and the coffee in the cup kept it nice and hot/warm till I got to work where I continued to enjoy it.

I don’t come for the donuts. I come for the coffee and hot chocolate. That being said, their drive thru service is so inconsistent. On several occasions I’ve had to ask for drinks to complete my order. I was there Wednesday and I’m pretty sure they gave me a flavored hot chocolate instead of regular. I didn’t know until I was home. I always hope the service will get better… But it hasn’t yet. :-(

As for the negative reviews on the donuts, if you’re an east coaster or transplant, we never come here for the donuts. If you come to Dunkies, you come for the coffee. Donuts have always been ok, but were much better when they actually made them in the stores, circa 1988. Their regular coffee is great, iced or hot is pretty much the same, but I always prefer the hot. Donuts are good, not great. I’m old school DD and usually go for the chocolate glazed, French crueller, or the blueberry cake. Comparatively speaking, these are better than many of the Korean or Chinese donuts that are made here in SoCal. If you want a donut, I suggest Petersons in Escondido. I’ve never had anything close to as good as them. Thanks DD for bringing good coffee to SoCal, not the garbage Starbucks at 5 dollars a burnt coffee.

One star and that’s only because I brought my own creamer for the coffee. Everyone threw out their food, poor quality. Will never return.

I drove all the way from San Diego during New Years so I could have my east coast favorite. I was so happy to have the chocolate Kreme doughnut, which apparently is only a Dunkin’ Donut thing. I haven’t seen any chocolate filled doughnuts anywhere else, in any other mom and pop doughnut shops that are everywhere so believe me when I say that the one hour drive was necessary. Got some coffee to go along with it. My nephew spilled his entire coffee in the car so I went back inside and they gave me another one no problem. They also had almond milk for my lactose intolerant niece. All in all, a win for everyone. Babies got their munchkins and my niece and nephew got to visit Laguna Beach, and I got my Chocolate Kreme doughnut. Hurray!

I agree with others, donuts here tend to be on the dry side. Was really disappointed with the old fashion. It’s okay, but I was really expecting it to taste like the ones I had at the Barstow location. The old fashion at Barstow is so soft and moist, almost like those Asian cheesecake breads. The ones here are kind of hard and dry. The thing is, is that the old fashion in Barstow are kept in a container. Cruellers are okay, but not as soft as I want it to be. Munchkins, eh. Coffees are always good here. This place is clean and they always have almost all the donuts available. The donuts look good, but wished they taste as good as they looked.

I love Dunkin’ Donuts! But of course I am partial, as I grew up going to Dunkin’ Donuts. Their coffee is my favorite. This particular location is clean and the customer service is VERY friendly. If your coffee isn’t exactly the way you like it — they will make it for you again! Nice choice of breakfast sandwiches and the donuts are fresh. … It does have that«new» feeling with their staff: they are still getting comfortable with the routine. I couldn’t be more pleased that a location opened up near me!

Donuts were a little dry? A little… like they’d been sitting out? Other half loved the coffee though. Iced tea was on the strong side, like it had been overbrewed. Might give it another go? Something I thought that was interesting: they appear to do breakfast sandwiches like grilled cheese. I’m not sure how I feel about that but… I was craving a grilled cheese a few weeks ago so… I guess I can try one here?

I don’t think the quality is as good as other Dunkin’s I have been to in other parts of the country. The donuts were pretty good quality, but I was pretty disappointed in my breakfast sandwich. It tasted stale and had unmelted cheese and cold egg. Not good. The coffee is usually good, but last time I was here it didn’t taste very fresh at all. Haven’t actually been inside, but it looks nice from the outside. Drive thru moves quickly, even when the line is super long.

So happy they are finally here! We love Dunks! Way better than starbucks! My favorite drinks are french vanilla iced coffee(extra extra) & black ice tea unsweetened with 2 regular sugars. My husband likes to add caramel to the French vanilla ice coffee. & of course sesame bagel toasted with egg & cheese. Great customer service & the store is really big compared to the ones beck home(east coast)

Knowing I don’t love Dunkin Donuts, I just stopped in for some coffee. I went with an iced mocha and it was horrible. Super sweet, very artificial, just like their donuts. Service was also not the best, slow and sloppy. The place is nice, big, clean, well stocked, just the quality is really sub par. Not worth coming back.

Dunkin’ Donuts! There was a time where it was impossible to find one in southern California. When this location opened up I was ecstatic. I used to love their iced coffee and couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. I was wary about visiting because of all the bad reviews on Unilocal, especially since this is nowhere near me. I came at 10pm on a Sunday, and it was empty. They had very few donuts available but I just wanted one anyway. I opted for a chocolate cream, which tasted pretty much like any other donut shop chocolate cream. Their iced coffee was good as usual. The service at the register was great, and the seating area was clean. Note: Inside seating area open from 5am to 11pm, only the drive through is 24 hours.

Never been to a Dunkin’ Donuts before so when I heard they were coming to OC, I was excited to check them out. I was in the area for a meeting and just so happened to remember they had just recently opened so I stopped by. Since it had just happened, there was quite a line at the drive thru and inside. Not wanting to waste the gas, I decided to walk in and check out the sample table that was set up outside. win/win. While sampling a few donuts, I won a $ 5 coupon which then took care of my purchase inside. Customer service was friendly, staff was being well trained, and lines were being expedited quickly — probably more so than the drive thru. My coupon paid for an iced latte and 2 donuts that I really wanted to try. All items were delicious. It’s a bit far to be a frequent customer but if I’m ever in town I might go check it out again.

Glad they came back to CA, we needed more donuts here! The new store is nice and modern, kind of small, they count on us to get most stuff to go I guess. The donuts are good, the Boston cream is my favorite! Coffee is good, meaning is not the«Bunn» taste you get at Mom and Pop donut shops, but it’s not over the top. My problem was with the Grilled Cheese sandwich(#13 on the menu) and the hash browns. Salty and had that«out of a freezer and warmed up» taste and dryness, but I probably had my expectations too high based on long time memories. The service is great and the location is on the way to/from freeway so I guess I’ll stop by again.

+ Atmosphere + Price + Clean + Coffee/donut selection — Inexperienced staff(but it is new to the area, so I’ll give it time) Coming from New Jersey, I had been waiting for a Dunkin Donuts to open in my area for a long time. This location is about 15 minutes from me with some freeway in between, but it is still closer than the other location(Long Beach, Santa Monica, etc). I’ve been to this location about 3 times since it opened. The first time was the 2nd weekend after opening. The drive-thru line went around the entire shopping complex and the line into the store was also about 15 – 20 minutes long. Luckily they had a tent set up for folks who wanted coffee and a dozen donuts quickly. My go-to drink at Dunkin Donuts is a French Vanilla coffee, light and sweet. Simply means lots of cream and sugar. The first time I had it, it wasn’t very good. I think they didn’t make it correctly. I was very disappointed since it was a number of years since I had a good one. I chalked it up to a new location with inexperienced staff. I’m pleased to say the next few times were great. They made it just the way I like it. Plus with the added Dunkin Donuts mobile app, paying is easier and you get occasional free/discounted items. I suppose having this as my closest location isn’t too bad since it’ll cut down on the unhealthy eating habits. I was also pleasantly surprised by the pricing. I figure, Orange County would charge higher even though Dunkin Donuts is usually cheap. But the price of a coffee is still significantly less than those other coffee places.

Yeah baby … finally the DD has comeback to So Cal !!! Got me a dunkin iced coffee mmmmmmmmmm My fav, the munchkins… I went for the 25 pack and ate it all by myself over a 2 day span. I had DD mix it up for me since I have not had them in so long. My fav was the jelly filled munchkin, next was the powdered, then the blueberry, and glaze. I will load up on the jelly ones now that I know and knowing is half the battle LOL I think this one has a cronut also but it may have ran out when I got there. Any donuts with icing is good. That’s about it for now, gotta sign up for a DD card! BTW … I love people that complain about their chicken sandwich at DD… WTF are you ordering a chicken sandwich at DD for in the first place??? To the people that are giving 1 star for service… ahhh what did you expect??? LOL expectations… learn to temper them.

Was so excited about DD actually coming to So Cal after living in New England only to be disappointed. The maple glazed doughnut was tasty though not the freshest. The hazelnut and regular iced coffees were a disaster. Looks and tastes as coffee flavored water. Either these folks do not have real coffee made to mix as iced coffee(hence why it would be so warred down) ORDD doesn’t have the same coffee as they used to have back East.

Awesome. Went on the 2nd day after opening, and were greeted by the owner in the parking lot who was helping people park/go to the drive thru. Told us to park, then head over to one of two«holding areas» for people. Everyone was super nice, and as a NJ transplant, this place was 100x better than any of the DD on the East Coast. The man said the donuts were on point, and my medium iced coffee with extra cream/extra sugar, with french vanilla swirl was PERFECTION. Give it a few weeks for the crowds to die down a bit if you’re not into waiting 20 minutes for your coffee/breakfast goodies. Otherwise, go forth into Dunkin Donuts awesomeness.
