Good pizza. My favorite is the Tristan and add sun dried tomatoes and pepperoni. Tori is by far their best pizza maker/server. Always happy, friendly, welcoming and a great memory!!!

The price is right, the pizza so delicious, it makes my mouth water and then when I am done with my pizza and I head home, I want to go back again and try another delicious combo! The staff is welcoming and friendly! Great atmosphere! Will be back in the near future!

I try to visit MOD every time I’m near this location. I’ve always been greeted by enthusiastic people and their service is quick and well done. I tend to try new things every time I’m there and I’m always happy with my choices. 10⁄10 would recommend.

Our family has eaten there 3 – 4 times and the food and service are good. Last night however the men’s bathroom was gross. It obviously had not been cleaned in several days. Sides of the toilet near the floor had lots of build up, urinal had something growing and the sink had dirt around the faucet and handles. I took pictures and I’ll be forwarding them to OC Dept of Health. Bunch of new staff last night. Caspian pizza was delicious but clean the BATHROOM!

This was horrible to my taste buds! I mean I think I barfed when I got home! I think that Dominos Pizza is better. The reason I think this pizzas bad is because the crust was like paper they put too much sauce and very little cheese and barley any pepperoni!

I really loved all the options at MOD! Different crust and salad sizes are perfect if you just want a snack or a meal for the family. Prices are great, quality good and the selection of toppings endless! Service was great, they really took their time to explain everything and carefully assemble all the pizzas. Loved both the pizza and salad here as well as the different lemonades at the soda fountain. Not too full and tons of easy parking out front. Great stop while shopping in the area and plenty of leftovers for that evening!

Excellent Pizza(the«Olivia» pizza — off menu — is the best), nice atmosphere and friendly service. I come here now all the time :)

I don’t post many reviews even if my opinions are very high for a place but I feel a strong urge to speak this one. MOD has amazing service, clean environment, great atmosphere and awesome pizza! If it’s busy or quiet, they always treat the customer with great respect and are very friendly. I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know a fee of the workers on a name basis and I would like to thank them personally; Emily, Keari, Katrina, and Tori. They are amazing at what they do and make you feel heard about your order. They are very thorough especially if you have an allergy to any ingredient. I’ve seen some bad reviews about this place and I feel they are incorrect and out of spite. MOD is great for brunch, lunch, dinner, snack time. I feel very strongly about this place for both food AND service. Come on down and try it! :)

Probably my fav make your own pizza joint! It also helps that it’s within walking distance to my apartment :) Made On Demand. You pick your pie/salad of choice and move down the line to pile on all the toppings. The menu offers a variety of pre-designed pizzas, but you can always make your own or add/delete toppings from something on the menu. They serve gluten free dough! The texture is a little more chewy than the regular stuff. Also, their assortment of lemonades and tea are delightful. Can’t forget that they have nicely crushed ice(just like Sonic). You are tasty times 100. And it’s not just your pizza that has me coming back. Your salads are pretty awesome too! Oh, which reminds me. Your staff = I recently became a super fan of their newest topping … Cauliflower. Um, hello! It was a knee jerk reaction, but then again, I remember going to Basic pizza in San Diego and shaking my head over mashed potato and bacon pizza. Don’t knock it till you’ve tried it! Just sayin’

Great service with average food. Compared to other places like this, the toppings and crust didn’t surpass my expectations like I was hoping. 3 stars — Pizza was average. The crust was more chewy, than crispy as I would have liked. I built my own pizza, Mediterranean style with mushrooms. I started with a blend of pesto and marinara for the sauce, black olives(just regular black olives are offered here), sun dried tomatoes(pieces are kinda big for a pizza), mushrooms, and basil. For the cheese, I got all four: asiago, parmesan, mozzarella, and feta. The feta offering was great! That was my favorite part. 5 stars — Service is outstanding here. The staff is so attentive, jumping right in to help customers when the line starts to build up. Big high five to the entire team for taking great care of their customers. Here’s what happened when I was waiting for my pizza to finish baking so I can take it home and eat it. My pizza got mixed up with someone else’s and one of the employees added a fig drizzle, which wasn’t a part of my order. She noticed right away and immediately, a new pizza was being made for me. She called me over to the counter and apologized, explaining the situation. Nice! A restaurant that can admit their mistakes and make it right. Above and beyond. I thanked her, because I wouldn’t have noticed until I got home, and by then, it would be too much of a hassle to go back. Overall, I wish there were more quality pizza toppings and that the crust was more on the crispy side, for being a thin crust pizza place. Decent pizza though, and it might be worth coming back for, especially because it was a good deal for a «build your own pizza» place with excellent service.

I only give this place 3 stars for the following reasons: Pizza I ordered was a little bland My husbands pizza crust was burnt Toppings that they put is not a lot even if you ask for extra. They don’t have a lot of topping selection compare to blaze pizza They have mini size perfect for young children They have shakes here

We visited for lunch on a Saturday. The line was long and moving slowly. The server wasn’t very friendly. We sat down at one of the many dirty tables and had to clean everything on our own. Got our pizza, and it was lacking flavor… Is that sauce that’s flavorless? We think Blaze Pizza tastes much better. On a good note, the raspberry lemonade was super good!

I should have updated my review sooner, but frankly we are always so absorbed in inhaling our delicious pizzas when we come to MOD, that I forget to! Anyways, MOD is still and always will be our go-to dinner, our date night spot, our comfort food, and our I’m-too-lazy-to-cook-tonight dinner. ;-) Their pizzas are delicious and fresh, with tons more topping choices than pieology, and better flavor too! Their gluten free crust is the absolute best– thin with crisp edges and a tender center. It doesn’t have a chalky taste like so many GF crusts do, and my husband(who doesn’t have a gluten issue) actually prefers the gluten free crust to the regular! Plus, they serve beer!!! a huge plus in our books! My husband loves their red ale, and says that it perfectly complements his pizza every time. The freshly made lemonade is the best I’ve ever had– made with just lemons, sugar, and water. It’s tangy and not overly sweet. One thing I have to say about MOD, is that their management is top-notch. Chris, the GM, is better than most GMs at 5-star, $ 300/plate restaurants(I come from having worked in multiple over the last few years, so this means a lot in my books). He goes out of his way to check on each and every customer, and makes us feel like family– he and his staff are one of the main reasons we keep coming back to MOD above anywhere else! Shout out to Tesla in particular, who goes out of her way every time to make each visit amazing! She is so sweet, always chatting with us while we wait for our pizzas, and making sure we have an incredible experience every time.

Pizza here is delicious. Great variety of toppings. Slightly cheaper than other craft pizza places in the area. Big negative is how slow it is. We were behind 3 people and it took 20 minutes before they got to us. If you’re in a hurry or are super hungry for something quick, this is not the place. After we ordered they walked away to take the next customer but we hadn’t paid so we had to wait again for them to come back to register — response«did you need something?» Ummm yeah, we haven’t paid… «oh what did you have?» Sigh. Madison was seriously the saving grace here. Once she came in the line moved really fast and thing were much smoother. We’d give this place another go because of her. Recommendations: 1) Ask customers when they order their pizza if they also would like a dessert, so they can be made at the same time. Also cold dipping sauce with a hot dessert was a total miss. 2) At peak dinner time it would help to have pizza crusts pre pressed in all sizes to keep line moving. 3) Consistency in sizing of pizza crusts. Picture for reference. Overall: Really tasty pizza, but don’t come here in a hurry.

This pizza place when I start out, it was not that great. Soggy crossed but an excessive amount of toppings and sauces. It seems they have taken the criticism well and have perfected the perfect pizza. I was going to Blaze Pizza, but, the spot I like better. You can get unlimited toppings so do not be afraid to ask for more cheese or a lot of meat on your pizza if you’re into that sort of thing. Their stickers for the kids and they also have smaller pizzas.

It’s all about the crust. Neapolitan pizza crust must be thin and crispy. It’s the MOD crust, almost cracker-like that sets it apart. I’ve been sampling all of the new pizza franchises to hit Southern California including; Pieology, Pizza Studio, Blazed Pizza, and 800 degrees. I’d rank MOD and Blazed as the two on the top. Both use real pizza ovens, as opposed to the countertop conveyor belt similar to the ones at Costco. Both offer a vast assortment of cheeses — which I like and always order with all the cheeses. Both use fresh ingredients, have great ambiance, and are well managed and clean. Pizza Studio only offers mozzarella. I’d probably choose MOD over Blazed because the crust is crispier — and I enjoy the char on the bottom of the crust. Also MOD has a wider selection of lemonades, teas, and other soft drinks.

I like their lemonade, I like the music that was playing(Blur, Franz Ferdinand, and other British artists), but I have to give them a 3 star rating. Their thin-crust pizzas are reasonably priced and don’t take long to make, but I am not that enthused about them. It’s not that they taste bad — they’re decent, but they lack that special something that competing pizzerias such as Blaze and Pieology have. On the plus side, they offer salads and dessert items. There is seating inside and outside and the families eating there were enjoying the long tables. It would be nice if they had more tables for one or two. The service is friendly and when things go wrong, they are willing to right the wrong. Case in point, our pizza edges were burned and one of their staff asked if we wanted our pizza remade. Although I felt bad that a pizza had to be tossed, I was glad that the young woman who brought the remade pizza to us was nice about it. She even apologized. They are nice here, so if a friend wanted to go here, I would go with her. My choice would probably be a salad. Nice people, decent pizza. If they had a better sauce, I would give them a higher rating. MOD Pizza is in the same shopping center as The Fresh Market and Baja Fresh.

I live right up the street from Mod and was deciding between Blaze Fire, which is just another couple blocks away, or Mod. I went with Mod simply because it was closer and I’m so glad I did. It’s similar to the other Chipotle-style pizza places popping up(Pieology, etc.) where you walk in, pick your crust, sauce, toppings and they make it right in front of you and then into the oven it goes and you have a fresh, custom pizza 10 – 15 minutes later. You can also choose one of their creations from the menu, but I opted to do my own. They offer gluten-free crust here and when I ordered it over the phone the guy(ended up being the owner) told me it would be the best gluten-free pizza I’ve ever had. You can also order online and designate your pick-up time. Mine was ready in 20 minutes from when I called it in. I’ve had A LOT of different gluten-free pizzas over the last 6 years of being wheat-free, so it takes something really special to impress me, and Mod really, really impressed me. It’s thin crust like most gluten-free pizzas, but it had the perfect soft on the inside, crispy on the outside texture and I was 100% happy with it. The inside of this place isn’t huge, but there is still plenty of seating both inside and on the side patio. It’s modern, casual and fun inside. They serve beer here and also have a variety of interesting flavored iced teas and my favorite: CRUSHEDICE! I will absolutely be back here… might not even bother trying Blaze Fire Pizza since I liked it here so much.

Having been exposed to Pieology a couple years ago, I thought that places like Blaze and Mod were simply following their lead and riding the new wave of pizza places with a chipotle style concept. But apparently these other places started years ago as well. Mod for example was apparently started way back in 2008 in Seattle, and just recently showed up in Orange County. Most of these places are so similar that it you like one you’ll probably like the others. The only real differences are the dough, the toppings selections, and the ambience. Mod is no exception. The pizzas are 11″ like the others, and the price for a build your own with unlimited toppings is $ 7.87.(slightly less than Blaze and Pieology’s $ 7.99) The topping selection was great. I think they might even have a few more options than Pieology, and a similar selection to Blaze. The crust at Mod seems to be slightly thinner than Blaze or Pieology’s, so that may be a good or bad thing depending on your preference. But they are all considered thin crusts, so it didn’t seem to sway me one way or the other. The ambience at Mod is much closer to Blaze than Pieology. Pieology is basic white, very stark and simple. Blaze and Mod are much more trendy styles inside with more colors, wood, etc. Both also seem larger than most of the Pieology’s I’ve been too, and far less crowded. So you can get in and out faster which I like. All in all I’d say I don’t have a big preference one way or the other, but if I had to choose, because of the shorter lines and nicer interior, I generally prefer Mod and Blaze over Pieology. So if you are in the area, this place is well worth checking out.
