Food is terrible. wasn’t even looking for good Mexican food just some taquitos. Guac Tasted like watered down or like milky. Wasn’t right went back to change my order. They changed it no problem and checked the guac as I was waiting a man was counting cash money on a food cutting board disgusting.

Probably the worst Mexican food that I’ve had! The tamale was all dough and no taste. The crispy taco was limp and tasteless. The carnitas burrito was barely adequate but the large amount of refried beans detracted from it. The chile relleno was OK, but I’ve tasted much better elsewhere. Even though we ordered four entrees, no salsa was offered – it cost extra! One star is too high a rating, but it’s as low as I can go.

First time here, I didn’t find the people to be pleasant. Check your receipt to ensure they get your order right. Prepare to wait for your food, in my case it’s a Saturday 10:30am & it took 25 Minutes from start to finish after taking my incorrect order and having to order a second time to get what I wanted.

Wife just ordered 5 different entrée’s from Los Golondrinas, and came home with 2 salsa’s… She asked for more, but they said they would have to charge her for them. We just spent almost $ 40.00 for food idiots, you did charge us for them… Food isn’t even that good, and we live in the land of Mexican Restaurants. We will never go back there.

Been coming to their multiple locations for years. Hands down the best guacamole around. I could eat it by the pint load. Their salsa is out of this world. No kisses for the Mrs. after chowing down on this stuff. Their Chicken Taquitos are off the hook. Served with 4 good size plenty of protein filled tasty portions. They lather it with their tasty guacamole. Their machaca beef and chicken breakfast burritos are one of my all time favorites but can be a gut buster because of the portion size. The flour tortillas are like parachutes. Tasty but a total carb overload. I’m not a big fan of their tacos and not a big fan of their enchiladas. Something about their sauce just doesn’t do it for me. I give the salsa and guac 5 stars. Not cheap however. Great place to stock up for the next party. Customer service isn’t their specialty. Not much to write home about. You sometimes get the feeling that they want you in and out and not interested in making lifetime customers. But hey, I keep coming back for more and it’s that salsa, guac and taquitos that bring me back time and time again.

No Bueno. Way better Mexican food in the area. These guys have forgotten what made them great. It could be the high school kids running the place from the front counter when it’s busy. Not worth the wait, and headache. I’m out. Adiós!

I used this place for all my catering events but not ANYMORE. They are rude and the food honestly isnt that good. you can taste the lard and all the tainted ingredients used in preparing their meals. The cashiers here hate their jobs and it shows by their demeanor. Went in today for tamales(round woman) at front very rude and matter of factly told us they don’t sell tamales during the holidays. WHATEVER! ordered 2 crispy tacos instead, opened them and they were soggy(like they had been made previously for someone else and had not been picked up so gave to next customer because they didint want it to go to waste) went back and his excuse was its because I didnt eat them quick enough. wow! tacos looed like i would be making a trip to the ER for ecoli or something if I ate them. The shells were so soggy, looked like they had been sitting in water, the meat cheese etc was cold. Please make sure to check your food before leaving this establishment. Horrible food;appalling customer service. will not be visiting this place anymore. El Campion here i come

I’m a huge fan of Las Golondrinas. People say this isn’t authentic Mexican food but if I really wanted authentic I’d eat at my moms house lol(I’m Mexican) But I’ll never go back to this location. Ever time I go they get my order wrong. Very disappointed when I get home. But the straw that broke the camels back was when I ordered a Big Dave. I told the cashier if they could make it without salsa, cilantro, pico de gallo or anything like that. When I got home I saw there was tomato in it. I drove back and told the cashier and he was extremely rude. He said I specifically didn’t say no tomato so it was my mistake. I was going to order another one but he was so rude I honestly lost my appetite. I don’t recommend this place and if you do go check your order before you leave.

If I could give it a lower rating I would. THISISNOTMEXICANFOOD. It’s crap they throw at «gringos» who they think don’t know the difference. First of all, all the meat is dry & tasteless. Correction: it’s either tasteless or smothered w/salt. Second, this place is WAY too over priced for the food & especially the food that they make. Third, customer service does not exist here. Come on, if you’re gonna have crappy food, at least be nice to the customers your poisoning?! Lastly, they give you ONE salsa with your order. The rest is charged to you? Really? Are you kidding me. This is salsa folks. Made from tomatoes & peppers. A REALMEXICANPLACE has a salsa bar– for free! Mexicans know you need a lot of salsa for the food! The only reason this place is still in business is cuz they managed to pick locations where there isn’t another place to compete with. I realize we don’t have a lot to choose from when it comes to Mexican food around here, but let’s not sell ourselves short. You can easily make your own Mexican food at home for half the price & twice the taste. And it’s not much work at all. But if you’re looking for a quick pick up for breakfast, lunch or dinner… Head to ALBERTACO’S on Marguerite Pkwy. So much better fast food Mexican food. Not over priced & customer service exists there! Worth every penny at that place! Oh & there is a salsa bar here w/3 different kinds to choose from! And they won’t charge you for it either ;) ** Been to both Laguna Niguel location & San Juan Capistrano location– both suck, no difference in the two. **

In my opinion(and many others that I’ve spoken with) South Orange County is seriously lacking GOOD Mexican food restaurants! Los Golondrinas has the BESTFOOD, but they are not a restaurant. Strictly take out or eat out front on the sidewalk. On Taco Tuesday, this is a very popular spot for locals. My family likes the carnitas soft tacos and crunchy shredded beef. Even though The Big Dave burrito is not on special(on Taco Tues), I always order one. It is massive and so delicious-especially when ordered wet, topped with cheese and guacamole– ½ of one is more than enough! And I always pick up a bag of chips and guacamole. We’ve been patrons since they first opened at this location and since the early nineties at the San Juan location. It would be awesome if they had a regular sit down restaurant, as Im sure it would thrive in this area. Until that happens, I’ll continue to take out and drive home to enjoy! PS– I noticed a vacant restaurant space a couple doors away… Im keeping my fingers crossed that maybe they will consider a relocation. And maybe serve margaritas!

Not sure what takes so long to make an egg burrito. I should have read the other reviews before going in and ordering. I guess I was like some others that assumed it would be as good as the Capo Beach location. And since I read the reviews during my insanely long wait, I was constantly looking for cockroaches in my burrito so, I didn’t exactly enjoy it. My advice, skip it and go to A’s or Hot Off The Grill for great breakfast burritos and done in a timely manner.

This is a great place to grab a quick bite to eat. They have fresh chips in the lobby with your delicious and the guacamole and salsa’s are not bad either. You can customize them entrées depending upon how you’d like them. Average wait time once you order is about 2 to 3 minutes to get your food I would highly suggest trying the carne Asada burrito with guacamole

My favorite thing about living down south was eating at this place! Every time I’m in the area I make sure to stop by. They have great burritos, awesome chips and the best guacamole in town. Machaca and egg and the chorizo and egg burritos compare to no other! I’ve also used them for catering and the mini bean and cheese burritos are always a hit!

CAUTION: I would advise you to not use your Credit Card Or ATM Card at this location. I cannot emphasis enough how distressed and frustrated I am about having fraudulent activities on my CC cards that I’ve used here. Their security system has been breached MULTIPLETIMES in the last couple years. It’s a hassle every time I’m contacted by my bank to confirm fraudulent activity on my card(s) and having to wait for a new card to contact Apple, Spotify, PayPal, etc. to give them a new credit card number because I used my card(s) at Los Golondrinas at one time or another and it was hacked. This has happened so many times — I’ve lost count. 4 or 5 times including my husbands card. I don’t know what’s going on with this and it seems a little fishy that it could happen so MANY times at the same place. As my bank confirmed that it was indeed Los Golondrinas that had a system breach. OTHERTHANTHAT: It’s pretty YUMMY for fast-food Mexican. The San Juan location, I think is a tad bit better. But this location is convenient for me and employees seem to be nice and good customer service.

First of all I will say that the one in San Juan Cap is great. But if I had eaten at the Rancho Niguel location first I would assume they were all bad. Food wasn’t fit for a dog Service was terrible Manager should be fired because clearly this is the biggest let down ever!

Food got me sick a few months prior. Decided to give this place another chance and what do you know… I ordered a fish taco and received it undercooked still raw in the middle. NASTY. Not to mention unhealthy. MYMISTAKE! Never will I EVER be going back here again. And I will be contacting the manager tomoroow for a full refund. DISGUSTING! I threw these raw tacos into the trash receptacle and had to go get food twice somewhere else and spend money again. Who qualified these people to cook. And I posted the photos of both my tacos to prove it.

$ 1.50TACOTUESDAYS! This is my go-to place for Taco Tuesdays when I am in the area. I have been going here for years and the fish tacos are the best I have ever had. Taco Tuesday here is all day and there are many options from chicken, carne asada and fish. There are crispy and soft tacos. I can’t remember all of the other choices, but I have tried the chicken, carne asada and fish for sure and fish has always been my favorite. The tacos are individually wrapped in 2 corn tortillas, but you can ask for flour tortilla for an extra fee. Flour tortilla are much yummier, but corn still tastes good too. The fish tacos come with a huge piece of fried fish topped with tartar sauce, cabbage, and some tomatoes. They have these yellow peppers you can self-serve which taste great with the tacos. I go through a bunch of those with the tacos. Con: It’s a small place with only 2 small tables out front.

My coworker used to go on a breakfast burrito run every Friday for the entire company! That started the addiction for breakfast burritos! I love this place! I always order the 2-egg breakfast burrito with avocado and salsa in addition to a huge bag of fresh tortilla chips with guacamole and salsa. Their chips must have a secret ingredient because I can’t stop eating them! They are fresh, crunchy, and delicious! I also love their red salsa, which has a nice kick to it. Small yet busy place and always a great hangover remedy for me. If you want a low-carb option to avoid ultimate food coma, I always order the breakfast burrito, then scoop out the insides and ditch the flour tortilla. I wish they had a location in Irvine! Until then, I’ll have to make the drive to visit this place on the weekends.
