Very good sushi! Great service, very fast and kind! Had the Rock N Roll and Honey Spicy Tuna! Would absolutely order that again!

Great local sushi restaurant in Laguna. The staff are very nice and attentive. Generous portions and large cuts of fish, with less rice than other places. Perfect if you are watching those carbs :] Poke Salad($ 9.95): Yummy appetizer to start the meal. It’s pretty large and great to split. The fish was fresh and marinated with just enough sauce to go with the greens. The greens were also fresh! Salmon Teriyaki Entrée($ 8.95): It was just okay, There weren’t many pieces of vegetables and salmon was pretty thin. Sexy Spicy Salmon Crunch($ 7.45): Salmon wrapped on top of a spicy tuna roll. There are slices of cucumber in the roll topped with crunchy tempura and green onions, drizzled with an orange and soy paste. Large cuts of salmon that almost wrap around fully! They are very generous with their fish and they don’t overdue it with rice to make the rolls look larger because you know, nobody likes a roll of rice with a little sushi. ;] This was probably my favorite roll, I love salmon! The fish was very fresh! Rainbow Roll($ 7:45): Also very fresh and generous with the fish on top. Love it!

Best sushi in town. Awesome quality sushi and delicious rolls. They also sell alcohol so it’s a great place for hangouts.

Pretty alright sushi place, especially with their rarity around here. I find it cool they deliver but i havent had a chance to use that yet. The food can be spicy so beware! You will find a courteous staff here and have never had to wait in line yet after several visits. If you haven’t been, I would suggest trying it for lunch one day and see how you like it. Most likely, you will.

Best sushi for the money in all Orange County. Sure you can go to a nicer sit down«fancy» sushi restaurant but sometimes you just want to get high quality sushi and take it home for a reasonable price. This is that place. Sushi is always fresh. Menu is extensive. They have sweet shrimp. They give me free miso soup every time I order. Any time I get nigiri, the cuts are thick and they always add another piece on top, how awesome is that? Love this place.

We really liked the sushi place here previously but this is our first visit with new owners. Very extensive menu. VERY surprised that on Tue night they said it was 30 – 40 minutes for take out! By the time we picked up our order, they were quoting one hour! So be prepared and phone ahead. I tried to select some different things to sample. I got four rolls: Hi-Hai-albacore on top of shrimp tempura roll; Sexy Spicy Salmon Crunch – salmon & crunch on top of spicy tuna roll; Rock & Roll-albacore on top of unagi & imitation crab roll; Rainbow Roll-assorted fish on top of California roll. NONE of these menu descriptions mentioned a drizzled sauce yet it was on three rolls(not on the Rainbow Roll). It resembled a spicy thousand dressing. Unfortunately, it neutralized the flavor of all the rolls. Each of the flavors of the three rolls was indistinguishable. It was as if we had a rainbow roll and three other identical rolls. That was disappointing. The Sexy Spicy Salmon Crunch had a ton of black pepper as well. It was great to try new rolls but we will ask more questions before ordering again. Like the menu and the sushi was fresh, but we have mixed feelings about what we received. It shouldn’t all be drizzled with a sauce. We’ll be sure to have them leave it off next time.

Was weird at best. Zero waiting line. ½ of the place was empty. Only two busy tables. Multiple empty tables. Asked for a table. They said to wait. Umm. Ok. I see multiple empty tables but that’s ok. Then they said they could seat us but at least 30 minute wait to get service or order food — or get any food. I totally understand the desire to «the right to refuse service»,… But in California– that is a big fat no-no. I guess that this place just did not want to have us eat here. Not a problem. I can take my business elsewhere.

Small sushi place in a strip mall. Not a fancy place, but we really liked it. They do specials most days of the week where you get something for one dollar. Edamame and salad were a couple of different options. Fresh fish and large portions with really reasonable prices. Loved the albacore sashimi… literally melted in my mouth. Tried a couple of riceless rolls which were yummy. Our server was very attentive and kind. We will be back!

I’m so excited to have another casual sushi place for pick up orders. I so missed my Sushi Zone but now there is Oh My Sushi. And the name and humble appearance in a strip mall next to Patsy’s should not fool you like it did me for 6 months. We even giggled because the temp signage was grammatically incorrect. But that’s because these people are legit. The fish they source is so fresh. The yellow tail is my favorite. I just wish they had Ono, but real Japanese sushi doesn’t include Wahoo. You’ll never find it in Japan. Sigh… They have a ton of fancy rolls which are good. But execution on the classics like a Rainbow Roll are worth bypassing some of the more over the top and sauce heavy fried /baked rolls. But I totally understand that American tastes require this departure. I’m a purist and just love my sashimi. Straight up. No rice. Oh My Sushi delivers. Dont forget the spicy edamame. It is amazing. I love that the garlic is sliced and not minced so you can pick and choose your garlic dose. The grilled jalapeños and char on that edamame are magnificent. I hope this place is around for a long time. We will be coming here weekly.

Wonderful food from what I had. Had the crunch roll– wonderfully presented, extremely yummy, and staff were quick to serve and clean plates. Sashimi salad was very good but my mother and I found it spicy; her more so than me because she is sensitive to spice. If you are as well, beware! It made her nose run and her eyes water. Staff are kind and efficient. I used the free soda check-in which worked. Miso soup is on the house! It is VERY good. It is quiet and seating is small; tables seat 4.

My favorite new sushi place! We’ve been there once and had take out a few times more. I would gladly give the restaurant 5 stars if it had more ambience. We sat outside at the one table in the strip mall parking lot. The sushi was fresh, presentation was gorgeous(not as much for take out, but it was packed well in high-quality containers), and the service is always pleasant. I appreciate that they serve miso soup with their rolls and ask how many people are eating when the order is for take out, so that they pack enough. The first time we went, the the chef came outside to check on us, and the waitress surprised us with sliced oranges and a birthday candle for my birthday lunch. It was wi a treat and has me craving sushi more often! Our favorites are: –Red & White roll –Sexy Spicy Salmon Crunch –Yellowtail Sashimi

This was my first time in Oh My Sushi since it changed hands from Ebbi Sushi. Ebbi was good when you didn’t need all the fan-fair. After my meal this evening I must say that Oh My Sushi has surpassed them and is a contender for the best sushi bar in South Orange County. I worked as a cook in a Japanese restaurant for nine years, so this review is based on experience. I’ve had great, I’ve had good, but the sushi chef there at Oh My Sushi is a master at his art. Nothing there was less than superior. I had the octopus sashimi which was served in a manner that was visually as well as taste appealing. Each slice had a thin lemon wedge between and the texture was perfect. Next came the signature How Much roll. The presentation and the flavors are to die for. It consists of shrimp tempura, yellowtail, eel, and masago. I recommend this highly. The seating is small, so don’t let that stop you from ordering takeout for one of the best sushi experiences of your life. Good job Oh My Sushi, I will be coming back often!

Excellent sushi, fresh and a large portions. Staff is friendly and feels like you’re at a family’s house versus a large restaurant with servers who do not care. Sometime service is a little bit slow but, definitely worth it for sushi. I am a sushi snob and I’ve been to a lot of places. This is probably in my top three for all time

I wish I could give this place a higher rating because the server was so sweet and I was excited to try this place because of their stellar reviews but was disappointed at the quality of food. First with the appetizers: we ordered the edamame and the Red Hot(deep fried jalapeños stuffed with spicy tuna and cream cheese). No one can mess up edamame and the Jalapeños were pretty solid. Probably the best thing we ordered. It was a good combination of crunchy, creamy, and it had enough of a kick. Definitely not too spicy. Then we ordered our rolls: the Popcorn Shrimp roll, Incredible Roll, and Red and White Roll. The popcorn shrimp roll was just popcorn shrimp on top of a California roll. Tastes exactly how it sounds, nothing special at all. The incredible looked amazing but the scallop was tough. It seemed overbaked and the crab was dry. The combination of all the components of the roll just did not sit well. Lastly the red and white roll was the only fresh roll we ordered and it was horrible! The halibut and tuna on top was not fresh at all! Also their spicy tuna was too peppery. All I could taste was pepper. Probably one of the worst sushi rolls I’ve had in the OC. Overall I give it two stars because of their service because they ended up giving us miso soup(which was actually pretty salty) and fresh cut oranges(which also cannot be messed up) for dessert on the house. Their portions were also pretty generous for the prices but I would prefer quality over quantity any day!

We were skeptical of the new ownership at first because we loved the previous sushi spot. But we are very pleasantly surprised. The service is great and the food is delicious. We’re so happy our neighborhood sushi spot is still one of our favorite places to eat!

It was date night and we were in the mood for sushi. I had noticed this new restaurant and decided to give it a try. So glad we did! It is our new sushi place. It’s a cute little restaurant with friendly staff and most importantly, delicious sushi at a reasonable price. The«Green Monster» was so tasty. However my absolute favorite was the popcorn shrimp roll. The spicy, creamy sauce they drizzle on top is fantastic and the shrimp were fried to crispy perfection. I may just stop by for that amazing dish alone.

3.5 Your slightly above average sushi bar. Large selection of rolls, small apps, entrees. It isn’t a upscale joint by any means. I really enjoyed their popcorn shrimp roll, with generous portions of perfectly battered shrimp. Their fire roll was also tasty, well torched albacore with a bit of spice. Their service was spot on, everyone was very chipper in the restaurant. Probably one of the better sushi spots in Laguna. I would come back if ever craving sushi and didn’t want to go too far.

This is a fairly new sushi restaurant. My boyfriend and I did not know what to expect but we were pleasantly surprised. The dining area is fairly small so you get great service. We were the only customers in the stores so they had all of our orders out within 5 minutes. The sushi was very good! The rice-to-sushi ratio was the best we’ve ever had. Overall, this is a great up and coming sushi restaurant! Come check it out! Oh, we also got a free California roll for checking in on Unilocal

This is one of those sushi places where you don’t expect too much walking in, and unfortunately, we were not impressed after eating there. We were super hungry after a road trip so ended up eating a few things but couldn’t finish because once we were full enough the food did not entice us to eat more. The miso was ok, a little salty. The edamame were terrible — dry, hard, and lacking flavor. The double dip roll was not appealing, I must admit that I’m not a big fan of cooked sushi, but this also tasted really fishy and i almost couldn’t finish the second piece. The how much roll was the only one that we are which was good. We checked in on Unilocal and got a free CA roll which was just ok. The water was one of the highlights as it had lemon and ice, and did not taste like tap water. The service was a bit slow for a sushi restaurant, the male server/bussed needs more training as he was standing by the counter while empty plates were stacking up on our table. I would recommend this place make some improvements if it wants to last.

Sweet hostess/server and cheerful chefs. We were crunched for time so called our order in and were eating just minutes after arriving and getting seated. We ordered a Cali Roll and 2 Lion King Rolls(they are SO good, if you’re a tender baked salmon kind of person), as well as the Chicken Udon(tender noodles, lean chicken breast). Udon soup isn’t our favorite but it was nice to have something hot since we are finally getting semi chilly weather tonight. This is a friendly, clean, well staffed gem and we’ll definitely be back!

I was craving for sushi so my husband and I decided to check out this place. I’m so glad we did! First off, I want to say how great their customer service was. Because it was really busy, our food was taking a while to come out. After we finished our spicy edamame, our waitress came and apologized for the wait. Later, she came and apologized again and then offered us complimentary edamame so of course we took it! Another waiter came with our edamame and apologized also. Finally our food came. My husband got the special bowl with 4 items and I got the sushi combo. We also shared a sweet heart roll. It was delicious! I really tasted that fresh taste fish should always have. And the price was pretty good for all these items. Before we paid the bill, another waitress came to our table and gave us free ice cream and apologized for having us wait long for our food. Wow! Overall, I was very satisfied with this place. What amazed me the most was the customer service. Thanks again! Keep up with the GREAT customer service!

I love this place! Great service and everyone was super friendly! The sushi i had, a simple California roll with salmon on top was a masterpiece. I got the unagi sushi and they artfully added some slices of sushi on top. Very high quality sushi at sn excellent price. Cant say enough nice things about this place. Clean, nicely decorated. A new hot spot for me in the area.
