When my mom and I went I had the shrimp fried rice which was great(I ate the whole thing). Much better than the sweet and sour chicken. Great service(and if you finally order what your taste buds agree with) great food. Pei Wei is a very relaxed atmosphere.

Hi there, just letting all people know that this place is so dang slow, I would not recommend coming here. Nice friendly service, but wow. Been waiting for about 30 minutes now. I’m about to ask for my money back:) Don’t cruise, not lit at all.

I had never been to a Pei Wei, but I came here because it’s near my home. I liked it so much I came back the next night. The pad thai was good. Mongolian beef was great. Thai chicken lettuce wraps are tasty. Spring rolls are decent. Orange peel chicken is nothing special. Stay away from the sushi. It’s like grocery store sushi, dry and flavorless. Call ahead of time if you’re doing take out because they cook everything fresh and it takes a while.

Chains are not my thing but I really loved it here. The service was more attentive than most 5 star restaurants. The décor is clean and modern. I ordered from the Thai side of the menu. Delicious soups and noodles. A solid 4 star experience.

First time at Pei Wei and the last time. ordered two entrees(Chicken & Steak) the food was basted with too much sweet sauce and the rice(white & brown) was not cooked(hard & crunchy). We requested to replace the rice(white & brown) it came the same hard & crunchy taste as the first time. The service was good but the food was terrible.

The food is always tasty, and unlike other Chinese/Asian-fusion, it isn’t heavy or oily. The portion sizes are on-point, and the ability to start with sushi or soup is a great and rare option at a place like this. They really have carried PF Chang’s famous customer service reputation through to this concept. On two occasions over the past couple years, I’ve had issues with the way the meat was cooked; on both occasions they went above and beyond to apologize and compensate us accordingly. The first time, they even gave us a gift card AFTER replacing the meal and comping it! It’s nice to see chain in today’s market who still maintains such exemplary customer service. Thank you guys, we’ll be back!

Disappointed. We have eaten at this particular Pei Wei numerous times but after tonight we may opt for PickUp Stix or Panda for our quick fix. Took over 30 minutes to get our simple to go order. Usually they are hearty portions but not tonight payed almost $ 8 for 6 pieces of Mongolian beef ridiculous! Vegetables in spring rolls were stringy and the lo mein barely had any meat and according to my kids was tasteless. So many options around Laguna/Aliso we probably will be looking elsewhere next time.

How can anyone eat the food here?!? The saltiest food ever! I came for lunch w/3 of my coworkers and we all ordered different dishes. Everyone was extremely unsatisfied with the quality, taste, & price. For what we ordered, it was overpriced & everything was salty!

Overall, it’s a great place to eat. Food is better than panda, you do end up spending a little more however. It worth it. I usually get Spicy Pei Wei chicken with fried rice, delicious. Kung pao can use a little more heat I usually take it to go, never have to wait more than 10 min(for something that’s made from scratch, it ain’t bad) Eddi, one of the managers, is super nice and attentive.

This is the second time I’ve ate at a Pei Wei restaurant, and was immediately reminded why I don’t often eat here. I do like the fact that you can customize your dish, but twice have been overly disappointed with my meal. Sadly I went with what caught my eyes(and stomach), not realizing it was the exact thing I ordered the last time from a different branch. So I went with the kung pao tofu vegetable. The texture of the tofu was awful and the dish wasn’t even mildly spicy. I expect a little kick anytime i order anything labeled«kung pao». The sauce was good, but not even a tad spicy. They should definitely reconsider renaming that particular sauce to «oyster sauce» or «soy sauce», for example. If I do ever eat here again, please someone remind me not to get the tofu!

I would recommend the location on El Toro over this place. The manager, Mike, does not manage anything. He wipes tables and avoids eye contact with his customers. He even directed an employee away from the customers waiting at the front to be helped. When I walked in, they were only serving the take out line… one person. There was a line of about 6 walk in customers behind me waiting to be helped. After waiting 10 minutes to be helped, I waited another 25 minutes for my food when it was not even busy. When I asked for my order, they were waiting for chicken salad rolls… after 25 minutes… when the employee asked the cooks for them, the cooks replied NO. The cooks were sarcastic and rude… and I was pretty pissed. My pad thai was extremely dry. How does that happen? We just moved into the area from Mission Viejo and I was looking forward to having a pei wei closeby. Guess I’ll just have to drive further to the other location. This location desperately needs a mystery shopper. The manager should be ashamed.

Ordered to go and sat down to wait. After noticing people behind me in line were eating entrées I got up to ask about my to go order which had apparently been ready for a while. No one brought it to us or called out the name they asked for after placing the order. They were not busy and I know they noticed is seating there with no food. After noticing how upset I was, I was given a coupon. Egg rolls were soggy Dan Dan Noodles were good Won’t be returning

I have all good experiences at Pei Wei. The food is really good. The prices are very reasonable, too. I always get a kid’s Lo Mein. I love the sauce the noodles are in. Tastes very good. I always ask to replace the standard chicken with beef with no difficulties. The employees are very nice. My family was sitting down at a table inside Pei Wei. I asked if the forks were by the drinks, and the employee offered to get it for me. Very good service. Always a fine evening when I come here.

First of all, it’s difficult to order on line. When I put in my zip code, it refers me to the Airport location rather than the one down the street. After playing on their site for about 5 minutes, I was able to place an order for my husband to pick up on his way home. Ordered… Wasabi Crunch Roll — A little bland for something that was supposed to be spicy. Sesame Original with veggies and Tofu — fresh and tasty. Mongolian Style Steak with fried rice — yummy! I added some hot sauce to make it perfect. Lo Mein Noodles — Tasty. The food tasted great and I’ll order from here again. They do need to make the website a bit more user friendly. At this point, you can’t see a menu unless you pick a spot. Unfortunately, some of the new locations aren’t on their site.

I have been here for lunch a couple of times. This is a nice little«upscale» Chinese fast food place. The food is cooked fresh and brought to your table. The parent company of Pei Wei is PF Chang’s and you can tell. They really pay attention to detail and serve fresh, good quality food. There are a lot of different items on the menu to choose from and all of them look very good. I have had the sesame beef with brown rice and the Asian Chopped Salad, both of which were very good. I liked how the salad was served with the dressing on the side. This location has one of the fancy Coca-Cola machines which is always fun. My last visit I had Orange Coke Zero which was a good combination. The employees were very friendly and helpful. They bring your food to your table after you order and they come back to check on your during your meal. When you are finished, they will also come by and clean up for you. The restaurant is very clean and well kept. I will definitely return when I am in the area. I am hoping that they add some locations in the Ventura County area.

Pei Wei, as in you«Pay w’aaaay» too much for what you get… This is the 2nd time I’ve ever been to a Pei Wei Restaurant and well… I’ll give them this, they’re consistent! So, like my visits of old to Chipotle, as in no-more, Pei Wei has been added to the list of — «Try it once… ‘Maybe. Twice, if it wasn’t a fluke the first time.» It’s what I imagine a Chinese High School lunch hall might be like in the states.(‘With the exception of the food beinging brought to your table.) You place your order, get your drinks, your order is brought out… ‘AND the staff is never to be seen from again. «Hey, where’d everybody go…»(Insert sfx — crickets chirping) ‘And about«placing your order» — IMO what a pain in the @ss… ‘Take something simple & make it more«clunky» than it needs to be. 1st — Select«Plate»(i.e. — rice; noodles; soup; flavor) 2nd — Select meat 3rd — Select Size(4 oz = $ 6.99; 8 oz = $ 8.99) «Size to price ratio» — So, for an additional $ 2, you get twice the amount of meat? ‘Sounds like a deal, right? LOL — ‘Sounds more like a consumer«push» to get the $ 8.99 option. The girl at the counter was a bit rushed, friendly but rushed… ‘She flew threw the«ordering process,» like Bruce Lee on crack, it was like watching the Keystone Cops but w/sound & color. There was another young lady just behind her, maybe overseeing how the employee interacted w/customers. Least to say, the vibe was a bit«tense.» Heck, overall the vibe was tense throughout the restaurant… ‘Weird. Once you place your order, you’re on your own from here on out. — «Self-serve» is the name of the game which I don’t have an issue with but the whole lack of customer interaction was dumbfounding. It was like some type of new animal, the«tri-bid.»(1⁄3ATM; 1⁄3 vending machine, &1⁄3 Chinese Fast Food) They could probably have a counter with half a dozen, self-serve ordering POS Systems, it would be just as effective and less annoying. Once paid for, the order is then placed in a cue for the line cooks to start preparing. They’d save on long term payroll and the customer service would be unaffected. This was what we ordered: *Pork Egg Rolls — $ 3.79; 2 pieces(Pork, Napa cabbage, black mushrooms, carrots, scallions, rolled in a crispy egg roll wrapper) Good; not too oily; decent amount of pork Photo — *Pei Wei Spicy w/steak — $ 8.99(Chile vinegar sauce, scallions, garlic, snap peas, carrots) Good flavor & texture; small portions Photo — *Orange Peel w/chicken — $ 8.49(Chile bean garlic sauce, orange peels, scallions, snap peas, carrots) Good flavor & texture; fair portions Photo — *Dan Dan Noodles w/steak — $ 8.99(Chile seared soy sauce, minced chicken, scallions, garlic, bean sprouts, cucumbers, egg noodles) «M’eh»; very small steak portions; waste money; note — same $ as Pei Wei Spicy but substantially less meat in comparison; 80% noodles Photo — Overall, the food was«fair.» The Pork Egg Rolls were okay. The snap peas & carrots were very good, fresh & not over cooked. The Pei Wei Spicy & Orange Peel Chicken had good flavor but the Dan Dan Noodles, completely passable. As I said earlier — «Try it once… ‘Maybe. Twice, if it wasn’t a fluke the first time.» This was visit number two, pau.(Done) *For about the same $ and much better service along w/more authentic tasting Chinese food @ Dana Point — Open til midnight(7 days/week) The Little Kitchen Asian Café — PS — The Little Kitchen Asian Café makes a great Dan Dan Noodle dish! — Aloha! Food: 3– Ambiance: 3 Service: 2 Value: 3–

Live down the street and work from home. One of my preferred places to go for lunch. I knowing what I what makes everything easier. Love the awkward silence when the mom in the booth next to me is yelling at her kid.
