Doctors On Call

After almost two days of my sons severe ear ache and low temperature we took our 9 year old here to get checked out. He did have an ear infection, had his ear cleaned out so the drops would work better. We had a great experience from the receptionist, RN and Dr. Estin was awesome! He was patient with my son whose ear was very sensitive. A couple hours later my son was feeling significantly better. They called in the meds we needed to the pharmacy right next door.

Let me start out by saying that every local person who I met in Maui has been amazing. Sadly enough the receptionist who I spoke with on the phone is the first person and the only person who has arguably the worst attitude of all who I have encountered on the island.
Please do not feel it is ok to be snappy and cut me off while I’m talking. Also it is very unprofessional to think I have to be physically present at the clinic to determine whether my insurance is accepted or not. I think it is more than reasonable for me to provide my insurance details over the phone to get verified. If I have to go through this kind of trouble just to validate whether I can get treatment or not I don’t want to find out what kind of things I will have to go through later (e.g. billing issues etc.). No thanks. I’m on vacation in Hawaii with limited time and I’m going to an urgent care clinic. You should be more accommodating.
This clinic gets a 1 star (I’d give lower if I could). If you are a tourist do not come here. Minit medical’s staff are way nicer and use standard protocols (e.g. insurance verification over the phone). Warning signs are all over the place for doctors on call. I advise you not to come here. Warning flags are very very visible.

You never want to go here on vacation but if you need to the service is phenomenal! Efficient, thorough care, and friendlier than most experiences I have had with primary care providers at home.

They accepted Our Oregon Blue Cross/​BlueShield insurance without hassle.

If you have to take a trip to urgent care this is the place to go! I got a cold the day we flew in to Maui and after a few days my ears were still plugged and causing a lot of pain. I walked in with no appointment and was checked in, seen by a very nice Dr, and checked out in less than 30 mins. I did pay out of pocket but it was worth every penny and they gave me an itemized bill to submit to my insurance company for reimbursement. Another plus was that the pharmacy was only a couple of doors down and the prescription was ready in about 10 mins!

No wait, great nurse, saw Dr. Bennett (who introduced herself by fist bumping and saying, «Boom»). Bonus points for that:) Five minutes later I was outta there with a diagnosis and script for meds in hand.
Awesome.

If you have a medical and need and want amazing customer service, I suggest heading this way! They are open daily 8 – 9 and get you in and out very quickly with the correct diagnosis! Not often in Need of a doc but these guys were spot on! Great job ladies keep it up! Aloha!
