Amazing coffee, amazing service and right down the street from my house! The paninis are fantastic as well!

Excellent coffee. Much better than the burnt Starbucks beans. Lovely lady running the whole little shop and she remembers your order if you’re there enough. Excellent panini’s as well.

Good espresso and goodies. Parking is a small challenge but the lot is reasonable. Really nice lady runs the place. If you lik something better than Starbucks this is the place to go.

This coffee shop is always my go-to in Lahaina for espresso and chai. Manu makes delicious cappuccino and mocha(no plain brewed coffee, but she can do an Americano for you). She even MAKESHEROWNCHAI. Almost everyone here on Maui uses the pre-blended stuff, so hers is a real treat. It’s full of delicious spices like chai should be. I also get her sandwiches regularly. I recommend the bagel with goat cheese and cucumbers and tons of fresh ground pepper. As my friend commented before ordering the same thing«it doesn’t seem like it should go together but it’s amazing». She also has fresh cakes and treats made from her own Italian recipes. It really is a gem of a place.

A great place to stop and have a well-crafted espresso drink and either a sweet treat or a light bite to eat. It’s a nice place to pause and get away from busy Front Street. The espressos are authentic and can be enjoyed at small tables just outside the shop. The pastries are homemade and delicious and the panini are creative and fresh. The owner is really friendly.

Our favorite coffee place post surf session on Maui. Emanuela is so gracious and accommodating and makes the BEST orange chocolate chip cake on the planet. I admire her commitment as a small business owner too– a way better use of my $$ than spending it at a chain store!

My wife and I enjoyed an americano and cappuccino along with the passion fruit pie. The woman who runs the place was really nice. Nice, quiet spot in Lahaina for some morning coffee.

Super adorable coffee shop at the end of a very busy street. Ideal for a rest after mingling with the crowds in busy Front St. I’m loving this little area. It’s sits across from a Catholic Church. Outside seating begets people watching. Amazing Americano.

Tiny. Charming. The beans aren’t burnt. She pulls a great shot and steams the milk so it develops a creamy sweetness… but then again… it’s in her blood. She’s Italian. We’ll make the drive. It’s worth it.

Finding a good cup of Cappuccino has been a challenge. An elderly man told me while I was traveling to Rome that a cup of Cappuccino will never be the same again. How true! Ever since then I have been on a quest to find a good cup cappuccino wherever I go. And let me tell you it has been hard, very hard indeed. And I had no hope of getting a good cup in Maui out of all places but hearing the lady’s comment about how Italian she was — I decided to try out. And man, I was so delighted! She gave me a really good cup of cappuccino after a long time. I have no idea what made the difference but I ordered a second one once I finished the first one. In addition to my cappuccinos, we also had some paninis. My husband got the Breakwall while I got the Veggie one. And we both loved our paninis very much. The place has a few seats outdoors and it’s this one lady who runs the whole store. I loved the food and my cappuccino. She definitely deserves full points for her efficiency and quality!

Simply. Amazing. Delicious. Espresso. Really really good espresso. Really wonderful place to sit in the morning — plenty of shade in a sunny town. Maybe it’s how welcoming and nice the owner is. Definitely not your typical Lahaina made-to-make-money-off-the-latest-cruise-ship café. EDIT: I’ve never had such a perfectly toasted bagel in my life. And I am Jewish.

We were visiting and this was recommended by one of the locals. This was by far better than the chain coffee shops. Cute little coffee shop. Delicious caffelatte with macademia nut flavoring with a slice of almond cake! Sweet lady/owner was very helpful.

Quaint little shop in a lovely location. The espresso and cappuccino is the most authentic I’ve had on the island. The baked goods are delightful as well. I wish she had a stamp card or some type or reward system for regulars. If you enjoy real coffee, stop wasting your time at other shops.

Very sweet lady that opens up in morning… Runs the whole ship by herself… She was so eager to help us and made my wonderful white chocolate mocha the right temperature I requested! Very cute little shop with outdoor seating. No ocean view but diagonal from a lovely Catholic Church with lots of locals strolling by. Nice touch :)

I was so stoked to discover such a great little Italian sidewalk café, so reminiscent of the best we found in Italy last year, right here in my own backyard. I feel the Italians make some of the best tasting coffee(and food) in the world and Espresso Italiano isn’t cutting any corners! Cappuccino — perfecto! Panini — fresh, high quality, generous portion, cooked exactly as it should — perfecto! Service — inviting, friendly, sincere — perfecto! Can hardly wait for tomorrow so I can go back and try more of the menu… What else is there to say but — Awesome-o!!!

Visited here since it was close to our accommodations and we’ll definitely be back. All the baked goods are made in house and I’m sorry that I was too full to try anything. My Husband got an iced americano and enjoyed every last sip and the prices are reasonable. When we asked the barista for some food recommendations he was super friendly and more than happy to oblige.

After attending Mass at Maria Lanakila Catholic Church, across the street, my hubby and I were looking for a place to get delicious and non-chain coffee. We discovered Espresso Italiano and walked over there from the church. Emanuela De Lucchi is the owner of this café that serves up a variety of coffee drinks and smoothies, sandwiches(bagel and panini) and the most delectable/home made baked goodies on Maui. It is a small interior space for customers with a few tables outside for eating and drinking. The café and the outdoor dining area is clean. During our week long stay in Maui, we went several times, nearly on a daily basis, to this café. It is my fave place on the island to get coffee hands down. The open face bagel sandwiches are delicious in its simplicity and filling. On one visit, I tried the lox bagel and it was amazing. The bagel had a cream cheese spread topped with a red(really purple) onion slice followed by several generous layers of lox and sprinkled with enough capers to make this capers fan happy. The bagel with cucumbers and tomato was equally delicious as well with cream cheese spread on the bagel first followed by the cucumbers and tomato. The baked goods are made by Emanuela herself using her own recipes. My favorite baked items are the Almond Cake, Carrot Cake with Macadamia Nuts and Ginger Lemon Cake. The other baked goodies, that I didn’t try but looked good, were brownies, crostata, blueberry & lemon bread and banana bread. Please note that the«cakes» are not cakes in the traditional sense of the word or as most of us would think of cakes. They are more like dense, chewy confections of heavenly delight. I liked the Almond Cake the best! While on our many visits here, Emanuela would be holding the fort down taking and processing the orders, delivering the goods to everyone and cleaning up. We simply gave our order and waited outside for her to deliver our delicious lattes and other coffee drinks we tried plus our bagel/panini/baked good of the day. If you are in a hurry, don’t bother coming here. Come here when you have the time to wait for something worthwhile! Service was good from the start to our last day! Espresso Italiano, I can’t wait to see you again! *Note to Self: Make sure your smart phone is charged up so you can check in! We were there definitely more than three check ins!*

Great one person shop! Don’t go here if you expect a lot of workers and want your coffee fast! The person who is taking orders is also making the orders and serving them to the customers. So expect a bit of a wait… but it’s well worth it. I was looking for a place that would serve something similar to a Starbuck’s Frappacino and couldn’t find one so I settle on the smoothie knowing it wasn’t going to be a icy as I would like and more like a smoothie… I was happily surprised it was what I was looking for. So bewarned if you want a Jamba Juice style thick smoothie the Mochaccino is not for you… but if you’re looking for more of a Frape style blended drink, this is it! My friend also ordered a breakfast sandwich and Chai Latte and she said it was good. I guess if you’re looking for a place for a good drink or light breakfast and have some time to just sit and enjoy the weather, this place is for you.
