I attended a soccer game on the West side of Maui. Within the parking lot was this shave ice truck called Kona Ice. It has a cute penguin mascot and appeared to be a new well taken care truck compared to the usual older trucks on the road. Anyways I headed over to get some shave ice and was blown over by the cool factor of it. It’s a simple design and fast simple shave ice. What made it cool was the fact you put your own syrups at a despense station on the outside of the truck. There were about 10 flavors to choose from and you can get it with ice cream and a sno cap(milky crème) topper. The kids love this. What was also good was that 100% of the proceeds went to he west maui AYSO program. so if you on the west side come by the Lahaina Youth Center work and check em out.
