What was promised by Chico Gomes the manager of Maui Sod and what was delivered was 2 very different experiences. We were promised that we would not have to worry or fuss just sit back after they applied the stolons and watch them grow to the first mowing which they would do. When we told them that weeds were taking over our new lawn we were told that they had a big job and couldn’t get to it. I then sent Chico a picture of the weeds and someone was sent by to break off some of the weeds. In fairness we were also putting in a fence at the time and they claimed they were unable to do any work while the fence was being installed. However the fence was a 2 week project and this situation has lasted several months. Again the weeds grew to over 4 feet tall and Chico was told, but again and again they couldn’t get to it because of a big job. So I sent him a picture of the weeds and they managed to find time to come out and cut the lawn. Only this time a weed killer was applied that left huge holes all over the lawn. When I asked Chico if I could borrow the compost roller to use on these bare patches he said when? I replied the sooner the better and sent a picture of the the huge soil patches and he said«u got dry spot… hard drit…» Since then I have texted him and left VM to finish a section left undone, because the compost pile was there, but paid for and no response from Mr. Gomes. Apparently any complaints are not allowed. I would not recommend Maui Sod unless maybe you have a big job?
