Cute juice stand next to leoda’s pie shop and offers a variety of diff fruit smoothies. My friend had the sugar cane juice and I ordered an acai smoothie. The sugar cane juice was soooo sweet, which I would expect because it is sugar cane. Lol but my acai smoothie basically tasted the same as my friends sugar cane juice just a different color. I could only assume all the other smoothies are made the same way prob with the sugar cane juice as a base. Wouldn’t waste my $ 6

This place looked cool, but the fruit prices are overpriced. If you order a smoothie, you only get to chose up to 2 flavors. The smoothie is basically a watered down slushie with barely any flavor.

This place is as charming as it looks. The smoothies were so good, you can combine 2 flavored. We got passion fruit/papaya – YUM! Mango/banana, very good, and Lime/ginger which tasted more gingery than lime. I don’t think $ 5 for each was overpriced at all if you’ve ever been to Jamba Juice. We bought Kula strawberries and papaya and mango and banana bread. It was super convenient and totally cute and I would go there every day for one of those smoothies. They have a macadamia nutcracker so you can crack a sample for yourself which the kids thought was fun and samples of toasted coconut shavings and coconut candy.

When I’m in Maui and have a hankering for fresh sugar cane, this is the stand to stop off at for not only sugar cane, but other fresh fruits, macadamia nuts, and packaged foods like dried coconut and coconut candy. For years, I’ve stopped at this stand for sugar cane and the prices have surely changed over the years. Today’s price is $ 7 for a 2 foot cane or $ 10 for a sandwich baggie full of already peeled and sliced sugar cane. Because I didn’t happen to have a very sharp machete, I opted for the baggie for $ 10. Years ago, I remember paying $ 2. In my mom’s day, she repeatedly tells me that sugar cane was a nickel. For that rare craving, paying the $ 10 was steep, but worth the price of having it already prepared. Chewing and sucking on those pieces of cane was better than I remember it. The pieces were fibrous, but tender and juicy.

Don’t stop by this place or you’ll regret because the price is ridiculously high. We paid $ 9 for a coconut. And they kept the change less than $ 1 for themselves without asking.

Holy tourist trap Batman! I was so excited to stop by this fruit stand after having lunch down the parking lot at Leoda’s. I could already taste the fresh fruit smoothie I was going to make at our condo from the delicious fruit that we would purchase at the stand. Except with the prices of the fruit here, my smoothie price skyrocketed and we left empty handed. They do have a juice truck parked permanently at the fruit stand, but it didn’t really look inviting to me. The fruit prices seem to either be inflated for the tourists, or because of the convenient location: Dragon Fruit: $ 7 small, $ 10 medium Zucchini: 3 for $ 5 Cucumber: 3 for $ 5 Sweet Potatoes: 4 for $ 5 Red Potatoes: 4 for $ 5 Baking Potatoes: 3 for $ 5 Sweet Onion: 6 for $ 5 Avocado: 3 for $ 10 Coconut Candy/Chips: $ 7 or 3 for $ 20 Papaya: 3 for $ 10 Grapefruit: $ 5 large Apple Bananas: $ 5 bunch Pomegranate: $ 6 or 2 for $ 10 The quality of the fruit looked good, but I wasn’t in the mood on spending well over $ 20 for fruit. I was also disappointed at the rather small selection of fruit, I expected to see more. Oh well.

I’m so surprised that this place only has 1.5 stars, jeeze you guys. I got a lilikoi smoothie and it was made with real lilikoi goop, seeds and all. It was ice, lilikoi and sugar cane juice. And it was delicious. And $ 9 is pretty standard for coconuts, even on the smaller islands. The guys were friendly and I’d come back here again the next time I’m in Maui.

I wish that I would have checked out the reviews on Unilocal before we stopped. We paid $ 10 for a pineapple and $ 5 each for two smoothies. The smoothies were a little bit of fruit juice mixed with ice in a small cup. This was one of the poorest smoothies I’ve had in years. At least the smoothies were edible. After paying $ 10 for a pineapple, you would think it would be flavorful and fresh – quite the contrary! The pineapple was nearly rotten and the flavor was very poor. Save your money – the grocery stores on the mainland sell better pineapples for about 1⁄3 the price!

$ 10 for a coconut. He acted like it was too much of me to ask if he’ll open it later so we can eat the meat. Very very rude guy. All the locals fruits are way too overpriced. You can get better stuff(with way fewer fruit flies) at Foodland and other farm stops. Skip it. Seriously just skip it.

Not a fan. The stand smelled badly of manure and the fruit was eaten up by bugs. The coconut we had wasn’t cold but we refrigerated it and it tasted a lot better.

$ 9 for a coconut… No way. Be warned of this place pretending to be local boy. 12 ounces of juice that is mostly ice for $ 5. Ive had lots of fresh juice before and would say that it is not the best quality of fruit and you do not get a lot of fruit. Our guava had sugar in it. The fruit stand is over priced as well and no aloha spirit going on at this place. Be careful. Note also there is no price for the smoothies posted. I only heard the price from the coupe in front of me. The saler gives you the price after the smoothie is made.

The service was great but the coconut was really expensive at 9 dollar. The passion fruit was 5 dollar for 6. The service was good but the fruit didn’t taste so great.

The gut was pretty rude and it was $ 5 for a small smoothie that was actually pretty gross… I took like 2 drinks and threw it away. I really don’t recommend going there, there are better juice shops around the island

To be fair, I didn’t have juice from the juice stand so this review is just based on the other food for sale at the stand. Total ripoff designed to make tourists feel like they are buying local produce from a real local fruit stand. At least the breads are from a local bakery, but the produce I honestly think this guy just buys at Safeway and then sells for a 300% markup. Even still have the tags on the produce. I was going to buy a pineapple until I found out that it was $ 10! And for whatever reason I paid $ 5 for 4 limes. What a joke. We went on to Safeway where we got the exact same pineapple for $ 4. Maybe you can find authentic local fruit stands with decent prices from local farmers on other parts of the island, but this sure isn’t one.

When I first reviewed them, back in 2010, we had already been coming here for years and almost 5 years later of coming here up to 5 times a year for 10 years now, it annoys me that we are still just a blank face to them. Not only do you not feel any aloha spirit here and being as other people mentioned a «tourist trap», they operate the business with the mentality that you are a one time customer they will never see again so they will tell you you are buying strawberry papayas when you are not — yes, I still remember that years later. After seeing us for at least 40 times stopping by for cane juice, there is still no recognition so now that I find a new place that has fresh pressed cane juice for a lower cost vs. the pre-pressed for $ 6 a cup, it is time to stay away. If you want fruits on W Maui, go to the Honokowai Farmer’s Market available 3 times a week where Prince not only recognizes you but remembers you want strawberry papayas a year later.

Definitely a tourist trap, but when in Rome… right? We stopped at the Olowalu Juice Stand on our way back to our hotel after taking a snorkeling cruise. We had first noticed the juice stand a few days prior when we were first driving to our hotel from the airport, and we were excited to stop and check out the stand. Everything is overpriced, but then again pretty much everything on Maui is overpriced. They know tourists will pay the prices, so they have no need to lower the prices. We decided to try out a coconut– an employee hacked off the top of the coconut, we drank the liquid inside, and then he split it in half and we ate the meat inside. It definitely did not taste anything like we thought it would! The meat literally did not taste like coconut whatsoever… odd! We also got 2 smoothies from the truck. They were $ 5 for a small cup– overpriced, but they tasted fresh. Overall, it’s a fun little place to stop if you want to experience a Hawaiian fruit stand– it doesn’t take much time, and it’s fun watching the guy hack open the coconuts!

Totally cute looking from the road, but a TOTALRIPOFF. And rude. I attempted to purchase a variety of fruits. Because I didn’t want to buy the exact quantities they wanted me to buy — they REJECTED me. And with attitude. Unreal. Keep on driving. San Franciscans… think Cathay House.

It took a long time(maybe 7 minutes?) to find a person to serve us. I had a papaya-ginger smoothie and my husband had a pineapple smoothie. They both tasted great, as tropical fruits generally do in warm locales :)

Roadside fruit stand + juice bar, right off the highway. Good selection of local fruits, they had fresh passion fruit, papaya. guava, and candied coconut samples too. Little bit of a tourist trap since the prices are a little high. Some Caribbean looking guy wanted to pay me for fruit?!? Just because I’m brown and not wearing a Hawaiian shirt doesn’t mean I’m a local, haha. I got a fresh coconut to drink and two apple bananas for $ 8. The apple bananas are about half the size of a regular banana and more tart/sweet/fruitier than chalky/starchy regular bananas. I’d choose these any day. Cash only.
