The current photo for Ono Espresso was taken by yours truly about a year ago. I thought for sure that I had written a review back then. Oops! Well, here I am back in Seattle and thinking about how lovely drinking my perfect macchiato was with that stupid, amazing view of Lanai Island afar. It still gives me warms and fuzzies when I close my eyes. The baristas were all sweet and chill, and made the kind of espresso drinks that Seattle snobs hope for here in Seattle let alone far, far away in tropical gorgeousness. Besides finding your perfect cup of joe the way you like it here, they also served some basic crossiants/pastries. Nothing that you would think a frenchman made but satisfactory. They also sell a bunch of cute touristy knick knacks as well as their famous(least that’s what they said) salt water taffy. Great spot with just a killer view, KILLER View, in back of the shop. Calgon take me away. Can’t wait to go back again. Hopefully they’ll have matcha tea powder since I stopped drinking espresso shortly after! :-) mahalo!

Awesome little spot on the ocean. Super friendly and sweet gals helping out. I tried an iced vanilla latte and it was delish. I also purchased a cute tank top from a local artist. The sizes run small but fit nicely! I would definitely recommend checking this place out!

Yummy gelato and very nice expresso coffee drinks… Secret patio balcony in the back with wonderful views of ocean and bay. A hidden gem in Front Street.

I stopped by here yesterday morning with my wife and her parents for a late morning coffee. We were passing through Leheina and my wife was looking for coffee places on Unilocal. As soon as she saw the seating on the water, we knew that this was the place to go. Upon walking in you can see a coffee bar and the gelato on one side and then lots of local products for sale on the other. I ended up ordering a large drip coffee, made with maui coffee. Then I proceeded to head outside onto the deck in the ocean. The views from here while drinking my coffee were simply amazing. You could see the beach right off of front street and also a number of boats moored off shore. The coffee was pretty good too as it was strong and smooth. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. While the coffee was certainly good, the view was even better and provides the perfect reason to come here.

So glad we stumbled upon this little gem while in Lahaina! The macadamia nut latte was TODIEFOR! Sooo good. The homemade croissants were also tasty, I usually don’t care for croissants but I really liked these. And the macaroons… Yummy. Great customer service, the girls working here were super friendly and sweet. Also, they sell hand designed women’s shirts that are so much cuter then the average generic souvenir clothing. I love this place, will definitely be back next time we’re in Maui and will recommend to everyone!

Awesome! I was looking for a coffee shop on the water is Maui and I found better. Ono has a coffee as well as gelato. I got coconut coffee with macadamia nut gelato and it was delicious! And then we sat on the back patio and watched the waves. It’s just a wonderful atmosphere. Must try if you’re in the area.

If you are in Lahaina, this is the best coffee and gelato and a handful of informal tables on the water to sit down with your eats.

I’ve been searching for an Hawaiian coffee that lives up to the reputation, and their single origin pour-over surely does. It was so good I had another cup and bought a pack of the stuff on the way out. The gelatos are also excellent. You should take your coffee and gelto treat to the outside-seating at the back which has a great seaview. They also have WiFi access.

Such a cute spot in a prime location. Local coffee, house-made gelato and an outdoor, covered patio overlooking the ocean. Gorgeous! The local wears they sell — cutting boards, t-shirts, gifts, all locally sourced and not as exorbitantly priced as many spots along Front Street. You’re still paying $ 6 for a small gelato, but the view is worth it. Had to ding them on stars for missing some coffee shop basics. Wifi is super slow and they don’t offer any power outlets for laptop of phone charging, or a bathroom. Stop by for the view, just not a traditional coffee shop.

This is a great place, I would highly recommend stopping in for a coconut macadamia nut latte or homemade croissant. There is a beautiful deck overlooking the ocean and a great place to enjoy the über smooth coffee. Hubby had a quad latte and the coffee was excellent. Everything made in house, including canine cookies. Cute shirts and unique high quality take home items. Worth the stop!

This coffee was INCREDIBLE. I studied abroad in Rome and with my first sip of my latte from Ono Espresso, I was brought back to that Fall semester in Rome. The gelato was quite tasty as well. I would recommend this coffee place to anyone and everyone I meet.

My friend and I stayed in Lahaina during our weekend vacation in Maui. We visited this coffee shop one day and just had to go back again the next morning again. The view on the porch is beautiful — sitting on the porch with my coffee and sea salt chocolate caramel croissant(!) was definitely one of the highlights and most relaxing moments of my trip to Maui.

I remember paying in Beirut $ 6 for a small cup of gelato(literally enough for 6 bites) — so considering that and island prices this place is awesome. The gelato itself is really great and refreshing too! I had coconut and passion fruit and my husband had coconut and pistachio. I am definitely going back for the chocolate!

Walk through the small shop and you come to an outdoor patio. The view of Lanai behind moored boats is amazing. This view would make any coffee good, but Ono has a good late which can be personalized with a variety of milk(skim, soy, almond) and flavored sugars.
