The family had breakfast here and went for the buffet at $ 39.95 each. The food was good and had a good variety. The service was excellent and I am very hard judge of service because I eat out all the time due to work travel. The price was steep but it was at the Ritz and in Hawaii. We will probably give it another try this trip.

Service was amazing! TIATHEHOSTESS/SERVER was awesome. Like made our experience. The food is definitely pricey but was truly exceptional and we felt it was worth it. But the service was our favorite thing. Thanks Tia.

Ate here on thanksgiving and the food was very good and service was good– other than the fact I had problems with people at two tables about my service dog and we had to be moved twice even though she was wearing her vest … But went back again for the Christmas buffet and it was not good at all– food was not great — dark meat turkey was mainly bad mushroom stuffing with some dried out edge of turkey. Service was horrific– barely refilled water at all– table cloth had stains on it and we were basically ignored. For what it cost not at all as expected and would never go back again.

No one loves a carb loaded breakfast more than me. Throw in some perfectly crafted protein products and there you have it. An amazing breakfast! And you lunch lovers, that burger sure looks tasty.

While the food quality is good, the pricing is not justifiable. $ 30 for a two egg American breakfast is just too much, even at this resort. I asked for a cappuccino and was brought a giant latte with foam heaped on top. For 6.50, I would expect nothing less than perfectly pulled espresso, properly textured milk and latte art. They push the $ 39 buffet breakfast. I can’t eat $ 40 worth of anything for breakfast. I had the granola yesterday which was good and portioned to feed a family of four but $ 14 for a bowl of cereal is excessive. The serving staff is excellent. I have no issues with the service at all.

While staying at Ritz-Carlton this is a decent choice for buffet breakfast. Nothing spectacular, I enjoyed the cheese selection. Certainly overpriced for what it offers. I’ve had much better & cheaper full buffets in NYC.

The breakfast buffet was amazing here. This is a must go to for breakfast buffet while on Maui. It is about $ 38 for the Plantation buffet, which includes everything. We made reservations for right when they opened at 6:30AM. It was not that busy, only two other parties there at opening time. Our server was excellent and attended to all our needs. This breakfast buffet has a lot to offer and has a nice layout and presentation. They also have a chef at the front that prepares omelette made to order. Lots and lots of variety, so please do visit here. Also try the waffles, they are so good !

The Terrace is the perfect place for breakfast when staying at The Ritz-Carlton or a resort in the Kapalua area. They offer a huge international buffet and separate menu with the macadamia nut pancakes being a «must try.» The restaurant has a plantation ambiance with panoramic ocean views and cool breezes. The international buffet features one of the largest omelet stations I have seen, freshly baked pastries, fruit and more. Reservations are recommended when dining at this popular restaurant.

I’m only giving the terrace 3 stars because the service was not what one would expect from a Ritz Carlton. We came for Easter brunch. We had one of the first seating so they weren’t really busy. The food was very good but again at $ 100 per person the service just wasn’t up to snuff.

While in Maui on our honeymoon this became our first stop. Casual setting and great view with a great staff. The ambiance set a great mood for the occasion. The breakfast buffet w was simple yet satisfying.

Ok it was just ok… but at nearly $ 100 for breakfast for 2(no booze, but incl tip) it should be more… note we did not pay for one of our breakfasts as they closed the buffet while we were still eating — WTF!!! seriously messed up!!! The corned beef hash was horrible! not properly brined(and I know from corned beef kapish) if brined at all and the eggs benedict was so overpowered by the english muffin drenched in melted butter with tiny piece of Canadian bacon… yuk! The best of the menu was truly amazing banana macadamia nut pancakes. yum yum yummy… Because of this we chose not to eat on the property again for breakfast, instead drove each morning to the Gazebo down in Napili for 1⁄3 the price — see review.

Our best meal on Maui was not Lahaina Grill, nor was it Merrimans. One of our best meals was at The Terrace(located at the Ritz). The food was amazing and the service matched the food. My husband got the Mahi Mahi and I got the filet. Both were cooked to perfection. Wayyyy better than Merriman’s and Lahaina Grill.

DINNER On our first night in Maui, we took it easy and ate dinner on site(not in the mood for further travel). On a whim, the fiancé ordered the high-end, appropriately-priced burger — he said it was good though no «San Diego burger»(whatever that means). I ordered the gnocchi, which was super delicious and delightful!(Can’t remember what kind it was at this time, oops!) For some healthy greens, we partook in Brussel sprouts, the expected yummy — hard to mess up. Our friend experimented with the cilantro-macadamia-crusted tofu with vegetables and soba on the side. I enviously eyed his good-looking plate of foods — he let me sample the tofu with its interesting and so Hawaiian combo of flavors. Pretty satisfying! BREAKFAST On our last morning in Maui, we treated our friends to the breakfast buffet. What an amazing experience! My typical breakfasts out we order a la carte — no buffet available. My previous buffet experience include very very modest continental breakfasts. So this buffet was on another level! Ought to be given the price tag! Lots of pastries! Miso soup! Omelet station with chef! Yummy waffles! Order eggs benedict! Order fresh catch of the day if you like!(Not me!) Overwhelming really! So good! I could spend all morning at The Terrace!

My family had an excellent experience here. Complimentary malasadas and mango parfaits start the meal. We chose the buffet and were not disappointed. You order eggs benedict and the daily fish dish from the server but the rest you get yourself. The Japanese breakfast station included miso soup, rice and assorted pickles. The hot breakfast station had scalloped potatoes, bacon, sausage, corned beef hash and scrambled eggs. The Bloody Mary bar was a hit with my husband. You put it together and they bring vodka to your table after. There is a French toast station an omelette station, a fruit and charcuterie station, basically a station for everything. The price of $ 38 for the buffet was definitely worth it given the variety and quality,

I’m not a buffet person at all… But the breakfast buffet literally had the best eggs Benedict I’ve ever had. Cooked to perfection. We were staying here and figured we spend the first day«dining in» … Great choice. Staff was nice and very accommodating for our little one. Plenty of baby-friendly options because many of the selections are cooked healthy. I loved that there are just enough options such that they aren’t overwhelming. Juice bar was awesome as well! Only gave them 4 stars because I’m not a fan of buffet eating; however as buffets go, this is very high on the list!!!

Enjoyed the breakfast buffet here daily when staying at the Ritz-Carlton. Great food, especially their coconut French toast! The servers here are also super friendly and make you feel welcome to be dining there. My wife and I had dinner there as well, and I have to say our server Rubaire(said Robert on his name tag though) was one of the nicest and best servers we have ever met. What a great experience, and if ever dining there ask for Rubaire! He’s the man.

Since we were already staying at the Ritz, might as well try at least one of their restaurants, right? It was a lazy Sunday around 10:30a, and maybe because we missed the breakfast crowd, it was pretty empty. We got the brunch buffet without checking the price, but figured it would be expensive as hell anyway(in my personal financial terms). The food served was a typical breakfast fare like scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, scalloped potatoes, corned beef potatoes(not hash because there were cut potatoes instead of hash brown), waffles and omelette by-the-order, muffins, toast, fruits… The not-so-usual fare included malasadas with whipped butter or whipped cream and fruit compote, asparagus with crab meat, and smoked ham. I think the by-the-order also included Eggs Benedict, French toast, and pancakes… I didn’t actually order it but the cook asked me if I wanted any, after I ordered waffles! Although it was a been-there-done-that deal, the food was still pretty good. Especially the asparagus. Coffee was strong and good as was the guava juice(although I preferred it to be chilled). Price wise(drum roll please) it was $ 38 per person and $ 19 for children(not sure about max age but assuming 12?).

We stayed at the Ritz and this was one of the restaurant downstairs. The food was good but nothing special. We started off with the Shrimp Flat Bread which was tasty. The Opakapaka(fish) — was OK– i thought it could have been seasoned better. I had the New York Steak with a demi glacé, kind of on the tuff side as I’m usually a Ribeye & Filet girl so I blame myself for this selection… i should have gotten the Filet. We had some dessert. I wasn’t too excited about our meal here as you can tell. But i did eat everything and had major food coma. The best part of the whole meal was stumbling back to my room and lying down! Burp… Yawn!

2 stars; only because the omelets were delish and the service was nice. Lacking three for all the other foods. Only thing I would come back for was the omelets. The man making them was very nice and happy! It whipped up or own custom omelets right in front of us. Not very much else that was appetizing. Everything tasted kinda old and has been sitting their for a lonnnnng time. I also saw then refill the hash browns(didn’t throw away) just piled it on top of the old batch. Yuck. Should be thrown away! It was very stale and hard. Not good at all. Their coffee also takes weird to me, like chemicals and really upset my stomach. Also their juice bar it was all warm, no one wants to bring warm juice. Yuck~ On the bright side, the view was amazing.(If they would’ve sat me closer to the window, there was a bunch of open tables and didn’t even ask if I preferred to sit there!) I barely ate any of the food, it was just horrible with each and every bite. I left with an empty stomach, a sick feeling and $ 60 bill(for two) of horrible food. Would much rather take my money somewhere else. I thought I could trust this place since they had higher rating on Unilocal
