We bought a 2016 GLE 400 through Paul Kim. This is the second vehicle we bought from Paul and again we couldn’t be happier. No hard sell like other places they just inform you about them and if you don’t want them ok. Product genius Sam Greenberg takes you through the systems of your new vehicle and explains how they work. He’ll give you as much help as needed to make sure you can operate your new vehicle properly. This may seem odd since I didn’t buy a car from Knauz, but it was important to me to acknowledge Andreas Rehder as a fantastic salesman and advisor. I thought his demeanor, knowledge, approach and personality were the perfect combination. I chose a car other than a Mercedes purely based on family needs. When I return to the market for a Mercedes, I will definitely go to Knauz and hope to work with Andreas again.

Just purchased a CPO 2014 C300 from another Mercedes Benz dealership closer to our house (western suburbs). Prior to the sale, I asked for the detailed service history for the vehicle. No problem, they said. Out they come with the Carfax! Not the same thing. We ended up buying the car with the promise that someone could run the service details between 8 – 5. Two days later and the only records they provided were the CPO inspection records. STILL not what I wanted to see! (Why is this so difficult?)
Fast forward to this afternoon and my call to Lloyd at Knauz. He was understanding, extremely pleasant, helpful, and fun to chat with. He was also able to read me the service history of the vehicle. Magic! It *DOES* exist!
If we didn’t live over an hour away from Knauz, I would be taking my car to Lloyd and his service team simply for the kindness he showed this afternoon. Check out their service department! Their customer service is top notch.

Service advisor Michael was fantastic. He was smart, thoughtful in his explanations and made our car service a pleasant experience. It is worth paying a little more to get the Knauz expertise. All the advisors are nice but Michael was great.

We bought a Certified Pre Owned GL 450 and couldn’t be happier. We received a fair price for our trade in as well as for the vehicle we bought. Paul Kim was our salesman and he was great to deal with. Vijay Zaveri was the finance guy and he made sure we understood the different warranties and how they impact the vehicle in future years. Finally Evan Langslet was the delivery specialist and he made sure I understood how all of the systems work. I would recommend purchasing a car from Knauz Mercedes Benz.

I have been to this dealership for Sprinter service several times and highly recommend their shop and the Sprinter Service Advisor Michael Jakos. They are professional, honest, do quick and competent repairs. Everthing you could ask for in a service department. Michael has over 20 years of service experience and works well with customers to develop the right menu of services for your vehicle.

People complain about dealerships and I understand why — nobody really likes them yet we keep coming back. I’ve got to say though that I’ve experienced a wide range of dealerships and these guys generally do a great job. Sure, I feel like my car is in there every other day — but that’s part of owning a Mercedes-​Benz. In comparison to other dealerships, they’ve treated me well and serviced my vehicles honestly. I don’t get charged for repeat issues, I get a loaner, I get honest feedback and periodic updates. Sure, we’ve had our hiccups but they are as above board as you’re going to get out of a dealership.

I was in the market for a new car and was needing something more for a family. I found a beautiful Mercedes CLA 250 and was helped by Paul Kim. Paul was so easy to work with and not pushy at all. He was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. After a little negotiation and a few days my fiancé and I decided we had to have the car. Everyone at Knauz was helpful and made the car buying process very easy. I can truly say this was the best car buying experience I have had to date! Go see Paul if you are in the market for a new Mercedes!

Leased a 2014 E350 and it was very easy and a fair deal. Mitch Weiner was the sales person and was great. He even took the time on his day off to pick me up after I sold my old car to take me to pick up the new car at Knauz.

Impossible to get ahold of anyone to give you an estimate or discuss issues with your car. I left a message for a service technician to call me back which took over 5 hours for them to get back to me. I tried reaching this person and was put on hold for over 15 minutes, then hung up on. I called back 3 times to have the technician paged & never received a call back. Horrible service before I even brought my car in.

The man who I bought my car from was very helpful. The sales Manager was super cool and help me pick my best choice for my car. Love my car

Another year has passed, so it was back to the service dept. for another go. Since I only had 6800 miles, they would let me do the «A» service again. No problems to be fixed, just basic service. Things have improved here since last time. The service writers were fast and courteous, the service was done in an hour and my car came back perfectly clean. The waiting area no longer requires a sign on for Wi-​Fi — just be sure to pick the right one (there are several — choose «MB WIFI»). The coffee machine still has only a few choices, but it works and there is bottled water and some fruit, etc. Not quite the Lexus experience, but it will do just fine.

Ask the Service Department how they treat long time employees. just found out one of my favorite mechanics who had worked there for 37 years was fired for bogus reasons. NO loyalty. Do you want to reward this with your patronage of this business?

These people are crooks. I went to open my car, which was in a parking lot in Highland Park, and the remote wouldn’t work. I then opened the door with my key and the alarm went off. I thought if I tried to start the car, it would reset the alarm. Instead it completely locked up my car. I called Mercedes and they said it would have to be towed. The gentleman from towing company I chose told me that he has seen this many times and my car went into theft mode. And the only way to reset it was to take it to the dealership. On our way to Knauz Mercedes we went. I was treated really well by guy in the service center, who gave me a car to get back home.
The next day I received a call that they could not get my car to start because I needed a PSE Pump. The cost to replace would be $ 1348. UGH! I was also told I had needed a right ball joint $ 250. Steering shock $ 172. Transmission cleaning $ 508. But those could wait if I did not want to spend the money right now.
I was SO tempted to just let them take care of the PSE and figure out the rest of the stuff. But I decided to call another service center. I was told if I did need a PSE, the part would cost $ 580 and $ 150 to install. I would have to have it towed from Knauz to the new location, which I got a quote for $ 75. And while it was going to be much more effort than I was interested in, and I was still going to have to pay Knauz the $ 140 for the diagnostic test, I decided to go ahead and do it. I figured the effort was still worth saving $ 400 — which Mercedes was simply going to put in their pocket and call me a fool.
So I called Jim, the über friendly, extra compassionate service guy who wanted to take care of me. I told him I would be in to pay the bill and the tow truck would be coming in the morning.
MIRACULOUSLY an hour after that call, he called to tell me that my car was able to start. So, I went up and drove it to the new service station to still have it assessed.
They ran the very same diagnostic test and called me to tell me that — except the ball joint, there was NOTHING wrong with my car.
It basically boils down to exactly what the towing company told me. My car went into theft mode and they reset it, and made up a $ 1348 issue that they hoped I would fall for.
I could not be more disgusted by the behavior of car repair businesses trying to take advantage of people who know little about cars. I am appalled that this happened at a company that carries the Mercedes brand. What a shame. I am sure I was not the first. And I am certain I will not be the last.
You should absolutely reconsider if taking your car to this dealership.

I came into this dealership one sunny afternoon looking to purchase a new Mercedes. This by the way would have been my third Mercedes. Yes, I am a fan for life!
I was greeted promptly by a salesman and asked if there was a particular model I was interested in. He took me to the car, and after a few minutes of banter back and forth he gave me a brochure and told me to come back with my husband!!!
EXCUSE ME!!!
I have been buying my own cars since I was 16 years old INCLUDING the 2 previous Mercedes. I was in complete shock. I left feeling sick to my stomach. Apparently my girlie cash wasn’t welcome here.
I ended up buying my car from the Westmont dealership. Way out of my way but at least I was welcomed and treated with the respect I deserved.

Free car wash only on Saturdays. Booh! And sometimes… too busy to wash! Knauz landrover offer free car wash anytime. Such a difference in service under one dealership. We own MB and LR.
MB Service is quick to get you checked-​in. But it takes FOREVER to get your car back. Plus $ 100_​just to look at your car without finding a problem. The tone set by the GM at Knauz MB sucks.
The sales persons are old and not helpful. Sometimes they forget who you are – even though you made an appointment to see them. Not hands on after sale.
2 stars for great service rep who apologizes profusely for the delays, which I know is not his fault. I can tell he has to apologize to so many of his customers. One of the worst MB dealers in the country, but the car sells itself, so MB Knauz will survive. They could DOMINATE the are, but are content to just get by… thus, so many other MB dealerships popping up all over Chicagoland.

NO WASH FOR YOU!
We have been Mercedes owners for over 8 years and one of the benefits is getting a car wash at any dealership.
This is a nice benefit because it keeps those Mercedes on the road all shinny and beautiful. It is like instant marketing on the road. Everyone else’s cars are full of salt and dirt and then this clean flashy MB drives by. It makes people look.
We decide we would swing in and get a wash. The service guy looked at us and said, «Oh I can’t do it. I’ve only got one guy washing cars!». He couldn’t even look us in the eye when he denied us. I was a little shocked because I’ve never heard no from a MB service person before.
This is not the customer service I expect when owning a MB. In fact, this place has washed our car before. So I didn’t understand why there was an issue now. We have even had our MB washed at several dealerships on long road trips in the US. And again it was never an issue.
You’re probably wondering why this isn’t a one star review? I’m giving an extra star for the Cutie’s in the service waiting room. Those are those small mini orange/​mandarin fruits. They are easy to peel and fun to eat. It is nice that management is putting out a healthy snack for its customers. So someone does care here. I had to have one to keep me from getting upset at the service guy.
This review is in no way to reflect there sales staff in the showroom. I had no interaction with any of them on this visit.
Let’s get back to being denied our car wash. The one guy who was suppose to be washing cars was kind of just walking around. The service person who told us he only had one guy also pointed to us to show us the one guy. So as I was eating my Cutie I watched the one guy walking around and I kept thinking you could have washed my car by now. Some advice to the service guy is to lie to me next time! Tell me that the car wash is broken! At least then I wouldn’t feel bad.

Having owned 5 cars in the past 9 years, I feel pretty comfortable rating dealer auto service centers. The issues I have had with my Smart car, particularly the service end of it, have been numerous. While this dealership is very high-​end and clean, the follow through and responsibility lacks greatly. Most recently, they neglected to tighten an accessory that they removed to perform service and, when it fell off, first did not claim responsibility then said if I drove back to the dealer (1.5 hours EACH way), they would retrofit something to fix it. I had visions of duct tape and mismatched metal! This was unacceptable to me so I am – at my own expense – ordering a new part from the accessory manufacturer and installing it myself. They should have made a greater effort to satisfy me by either ordering the part for me or offering to pay my gas/​time to take yet another half day off work to go there.
