Great spot to pick up dogs and fries. Unfortunately the guys behind the counter talk about the female customers in a lude and perverted way. I wish there was a drive through so that I would not have to go inside. But the food is good.

Definitely a cute little shop that sells a good selection of hot dogs, burgers, and gyros. From what I’ve seen, there isn’t too much around North Chicago, but I wanted to visit somewhere with good hot dogs. Searched the area, and Scooters popped up.
I got the #1, which is a Chicago-style hot dog, fries, and a drink. The Chicago-dog was pretty standard: pickle on top, small peppers, onions, and mustard. The bun though definitely made the hot dog top notch. It was a poppy seed bun that was so soft and tasty. The fries were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and reminded me of Five Guy Fries. As for the drink, I got a Cream Soda and it was also delicious! A great solid meal for around $ 6.
I recommend this place for anyone in the area looking for good hot dogs. Good price, good selection, good service as well! They’re fast too :)

Scooters is a neighborhood joint and is great. Food is always solid and tasty, and there’s always a steady flow of customers, which means the food is always fresh. We love Scooters.

It’s refreshing to find your old favorite chili cheese dog provider still have it going on. Happy to see the same owners from 96 are hard at work making the best damn food around. That good comfort food we all remember. I need to get back soon and try the beer bratwurst on a pretzel roll… an italian beef and a burger! Fresh old school family recipes, with fresh new ideas, has kept Scooters a staple in Lake Bluff for 30 years. My pops used to live nearby and Scooters holds many a fond memories for me.

Customer service was great. I ordered a burger with gyro meat added, it was huge and good. The cucumber yogurt sauce was really smooth and tasted like it had some feta and white pepper in it. I will def be eating here again.

Their customer service in horrible. Last week I ordered 2 scooter brats and added mustard and saurkraut to both and asked for no cheese on one. When I got back to the office both had cheese. I HATE cheese so I called and told them my order was wrong and they said they would leave me a credit at the store for a corrected scooter brat because I could not go back and pick up the brat at the time.
I called today to order my brat and the guy who answered the phone was extremely rude and told me that he was not going to honor what the previous cashier said because he made a complex order for us the other day and it is not his fault that it was not given to me correct because I apparently did not know what I ordered. The customer service at this place is much to be desired. I plan on not going back to this place ever again

Always loved this place for standard hotdog stand fare (hotdogs, burgers, beefs, sausage etc…), but in the last couple of years Scooters has upped their game offering the most creative burger creations I’ve ever seen. Just had the El Gordo, double pepperjack burger topped with bacon, chorizo, grilled onions, jalapeños, and Chipotle mayo. THAT WAS AWESOME! What I’ve been really hooked on though is their brats. Best I’ve ever had. All versions are served on toasty pretzel rolls and offer special types of mustard. Thanks Scooters

Old school Chicago style hot dogs and a selection of burgers to die for. The special at the moment two burgers cheese topped with pulled pork. Mmmmm cheese fries and a root beer what could be better

Char-burgers from the grill = awesome! Had the burger of the month: THE MACDADDY: Double Angus beef topped with American cheese, bacon, ranch, and … 2 mac n’ cheese bites! Whoppers go home at night and dream of this burger! If you’re going to trash the diet on a Sunday with a 2500 calorie meal, do it right with this burger!

Very good gyro. Sauce a little thin but good. Dog was well liked by the kids. Vienna. Great Chicago dog.
Onion rings were great.
Clean restaurant with quick service. Not the most friendly place but not bad at all.
Great location and plenty of parking in their private lot.

Cute little place. Lots of menu options. Great hot dogs and burgers. Don’t expect a quick meal, everything is made to order it seems. Service was great though.
