Fantastic Sams of Foothill Ranch

Your experience depends on which person you get to cut your hair. I come here to get my son’s haircut because it is less expensive than taking him to my stylist. When he saw Julie, she was good. When he saw Adena… she was AWESOME!!! But then Adena left and my poor son saw Kim three times. And all three times were absolutely AWFUL!!! All I ask is for the simple, typical boy cut. The first time we saw her she was obviously sick. The entire time she sniffled and complained through the entire cut. The next time she wasn’t sick but the result was just as awful as the first time. All uneven and misshapen. I could have done a better job myself. The third time my husband took my son and guess who he got. Kim. Ugh! And again, another botched up haircut. Long on one side, short on the other, she cut my son on the neck, sideburns at different levels. I can’t begin to explain how terrible her skills are. I hope she finds some other type of work to do because this is definitely not for her. So the next time I called ahead and asked who was available to make sure we did NOT get Kim. A girl named Heather was available. What a relief! Finally, a regular, normal boy haircut. I’m only seeing Heather from now on.

Have to give 5 stars to ANGIE hands down the best hair stylist I know. Also the place was super comfy free tea and coffee! What’s not to love about positive vibes and free beverages. Love this place.

Five stars for Adena, even though she no longer works here she still gets five stars. She saved my hair and gave me a plan to have it fixed. I called the other day to have her go to the next step only to find out she’s gone now. Im so sad and hope I can find someone with her talent to complete my hair.

Adena cuts all my family’s hair. She’s great. I don’t know the other stylists, but they seem nice when I’m there. There are always coupons in the paper and mail.

Had a great first time experience. I’m not sure why these other people rated so low. Everyone was pleasant and my hair looks great. Good deals on products too!

This place has terrible service. The middle aged blonde lady gave me a terrible haircut and refused to fix it when I asked her. This place needs to teach their employees customer service.

I recently took my not quite 3 year old in for his first salon cut. He has recently decided getting his hair cut hurts and had gone 3+months without a trim. We arrived and the stylist not only was friendly and efficient, but she spoke to my son directly and engaged him in the process. She showed him the tools and helped him be comfortable with the clippers she used after the scissor portion. Not only was she wonderful throughout the cut, she offered him 2 lollipops, with my permission, for being such a good boy! It was a wonderful experience for all of us, start to finish! Great place.

Allow some time and you’ll be great! Jennifer has been taking care of my strands for ages and wouldn’t trust anyone else. Excellent shop who will do all you need to do Must see! You’ll be GORGEOUS!

I have been going for Years and have been semi happy
The person who cuts my hair is usually a couple of minutes late but today was the straw that broke the Camels back. I called at 2:55 pm and was told to come in at 3:30 pm. I arrive a few minutes before 3:30 pm and she had just taken a Lady. When I asked her how long her answer was a while.
Well my time is valuable also so I will not be going back to this Fantastic Sam’s or any other one

Credit card issue. Coupon doesn’t even help. They charge so much just for blow drying ur hair.

My opinion still stands. Fantastic Sams is my go-​to place for a trim. All the stylists are good, but Adena’s my pick.
When I go, the wait’s not too bad, 15 minutes tops.

I used to love getting my hair done (trim and color) at this place but the way they are set up to get your hair done is outrageous. I thought since I have been seeing Jennifer for some time now she would respect that I show up on time and do my hair. It never failed that she would have to tell me that someone else called before me and their name was not written in so I need to wait for another slot. Whatever… I decided to spend my $ 140 without tip elsewhere.

if i could choose –10 stars i would! they butchered my hair! it looks like a 4 yr old cut my hair. i have never been so upset. then when i was telling my friend what happened she tells me the same thing happened to her mom when she went there.

I’ve been here 3 times and while the first time was completely fine, the last 2 times were not and confirmed why I hate getting my hair cut. For the past 5 years, the only time I have ever gotten a hair cut is to donate it. The first time I came was to get my hair chopped off and it was a good hair cut, everything was even.
The 2^nd time I came here was a few months ago. I again came to cut off 10 inches of my hair. I knew it would have been really short but without asking me, the lady gave me an A-​line cut. I have always hated this style and while some people do look good in it, I don’t think I do. I walked out of there completely horrified and disgusted with my hair. She must have seen how unhappy I was with this A-​line style because she said, you can come back in 5 – 6 weeks to level it out. Well thank you for this ugly haircut that I will hate for 5 – 6 weeks.
The 3^rd time I came back was about 6 weeks later to get my hair all one length. The hairdresser I had was really nice and we were just talking the whole time. Over the next week, I realized that she didn’t do a very good job of cutting my hair because there were a few parts that weren’t even. I ended up having to cut my own hair in a few places to even it out. I realize that people aren’t perfect but I didn’t pay someone for a hair cut so that I can go back and fix it myself.
Fantastic Sams is on the cheaper side for hair cuts, but you get what you pay for.

My kids and I have been coming here for years. Everyone is very nice and I love Julie! She always cuts my hair and my kids’ hair and she always knows just how we like it. Julie is often busy, but so worth the wait. Be sure to use the «Call Ahead» feature that they offer. A very nice salon. :-)

This Fantastic Sams is the best one I have been to and have gone for over 5 years. Have tried other places in the past but keep coming back here because the prices are reasonable and they do a great job. The service is really top notch, waits are short, and store is clean. My haircut was done by Mandy and she does an amazing job on my hair.

Megan cuts my long curly hair and she is great! Nice conversation, a great shampoo and a beautiful blow dry.
I come here instead of the «big name» salons because I receive a great haircut for $ 15 instead of $ 50!

Great place: Great haircut and experience. Highly recommend. The hairdresser takes their time and very professional. I go there at least once a month to get my hair cut.

I have been going to this Fantastic Sams for many years now. Jennifer P., the manager, has been cutting and coloring my hair and always does an excellent job! She knows her stuff and is always taking classes to update and increase her knowledge. I have recommended several people to her and they have been happy as well. You will not be disappointed! Give them a try. Their prices are very reasonable and their products are very good. Call in an hour ahead of time and get on the list!

I received a personal call from the owner, Vicki. She was surprised to have read my review and that we had such an experience at her salon. I believe that she handled the situation professionally and has pledged to address the situation so that customers are properly notified of a color that is ahead of them.
She even confirmed that she had my current address on file so she could send something to us. I told her that was not necessary, nor did I expect it, as i wrote the Unilocal review simply to warn other customers of what may happen when they visit.
