Econo Lodge Downtown

First time staying here in Lake George thanks to the Econo Lodge our experience was great! They’re very nice and the rooms are very clean, everything works and they have a nice outdoor pool and jacuzzi. The only down side of it was parking. Nice and friendly staff ! Will come back

Would not stay there again, if you’re stuck and it is only one night fine, but any longer you may as well camp in the yard. The shower is terrible, a phone booth has more room, the free Wi-​Fi does nothing but constantly go out and oddly around the same time every night, as if they shut it off. The free continental breakfast is so far out of the way you may as well jump in your car and go to the deli down the block; it has nothing special, just breads, cereals and coffee, no rolls or bagels, not even 24 hr a day coffee. Most other places come with a microwave in the room, this place has one in the entire place and again it is so out of the way, it’s useless. The free local calls does not work, when asked how far local is they suggested using the phone in the office. They have a tiny fridge in the room that has about enough room to keep 2 soda cans cold and that’s it. Lastly the TV in the room is a joke they have it so low in the room and unmovable that you’d have to sit on the floor to watch it. All in all find any other place to stay, I wish I did but got locked in there for a few days.

This place was absolutely disgusting! The wallpaper was falling off of the walls, I was afraid to touch anything in the bathroom, and the stench of stale cigarettes from outside permeated the room. The breakfast the offered was a joke, and we wound up going to the diner down the road. When I complained at the front desk, all the guy could do was stare at me silently. When I complained on the Econo Lodge website, all I received was a letter of apology from the manager. My strong advice to anyone who is thinking of staying at this hotel is that there are much better alternatives. I would prefer sleeping on a park bench over ever staying here again!

One of the cleanest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Décor is old but has a certain charm. Good location too, but right on top of a traffic light so getting in and out can be a little sketchy. For the price this was a great hotel.
