I was on vacation with my family and needed to get a temporary New York fishing licence. So driving by, I saw this place and decided to get my license. I went in and the owner/​manager was there. I said good morning and got nothing back. Ok, whatever. I asked for a temp license and he grudgingly got it for me. He then then threw my license and change on the counter and then while I’m still at the counter starts talking through me to guy behind me, his friend. I left aggravated, but forgot about it. A couple days later, I went back because I needed tackle. I should’ve learned from when I was in for my license. The same guy asked what I was looking for and I asked for suggestions for which lures to use and then said to his coworker to «take care of this guy, my heads spinning». He obviously does not like dealing with tourists even though it’s probably 75% of his business. The clerk was helpful enough, but the owner/​manager did not want to deal with me. We travel to Lake George quite a bit, and have since found a bait store that is much more friendly and does not mind customers.

I haven’t been by their store since I’m out here in Oregon, but Fish307 has more than impressed me. I can find hard to get parts when I smash my trolling motor into a dock, lures I can’t find out here, and I’ve always gotting my order in less than a week. Their prices are great, shipping is more than fair and their timliness is the best. Top Notch Business, thanks for keeping me on the water !!!

I stop in here because I was fishing in Lake George and needed bait! I definitely recommend all levels of fisherman and fisher women to come to this establishment!
When we enter the store we were greeted with a very friendly and knowledgeable store clerk.
He told us about the different species of fish in Lake George and what he uses to catch some like largemouth bass.
They take credit card and also can register for fishing licenses. $ 25 for ny state residents outside residents is $ 50.
They have a huge selection of bait, tackle and rods, reels and even live bait for very cheap.

They went out of the way to be helpful. They don’t just work there they fish.

I like this place a lot. I took my son here during a trip to Lake George because we wanted to do a little fishing in the lake. We were able to buy a really nice light action rod and casting reel combo ($ 16.99 Zebco) and the young man behind the counter was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He not only helped us get all the tackle we would need AND rigged our pole he didn’t try to sell us a bunch of crap we didn’t need just to make a buck. We were even able to purchase a one day fishing license 3 days in advance of the day we needed it. I walked out of there paying less than $ 40 for rod, reel, tackle, bait and license.
