Had lunch at this restaurant over Memorial Day Weekend. The staff was very friendly and checked up on our table more frequently than other restaurants in the area. Food was your typical burgers, paninis, pasta etc. Kids meals included chicken fingers, pasta, etc. The drinks were good with some local beer offerings. I would probably go back based on how friendly the staff was.

It doesn’t deserve a star at all! Tasted like a dirty sponge and was repulsive, from wilted lettuce, to freezer burn chicken to disgusting salad dressing, staff was so friendly and service was great but ew! Get a new chef!!!

Can’t believe this place has such a low rating. I suppose it’s because some people want to compare hot dog carts to luxury hotel steak houses… two completely different animals Ok, that’s off my chest Tonight after a stressful day of dealing with some personal business we decided to head to the shore of Lake George to unwind. 10 minutes out from the Adventure Resorts of America campground we were walking the main drag, opposite the park. It was getting late, around 7 ish and we wanted to grab a bite to eat and a cocktail. After looking at several menus posted along the sidewalk for the throngs of casually strolling pedestrians we thought J.C. Montana’s looked like our kind of place. There was a nice table available at the edge of the patio, under an umbrella offering several nice views of Lake George. The staff was friendly and efficient. There were at least 3 different people that had something to do, directly, with our service. The staff was young and very clean cut. No pierced lips or noses to look at while eating and from what I can tell, not a single tattoo was visible. We never lacked for anything. Food was served hot from the kitchen and dishes cleared promptly. After we finished eating we lingered over another drink and never felt pressured to turn the table as we enjoyed the sounds of the band playing in the park, right across the street from us. The partial view of the lake was cool as the day turned to night and we could watch the illuminated boats cruising through the lakes waters highlighted by the lit structures on the far shoe of the lake. Food was good too. The Fried Clams were large and well breaded. I substituted a salad for the fries and was impressed with the dinner salad. Ellie had the South Western Nachos which were very different from what I have eaten in the South West — but very good and would order them again. All in all, for a touristy kind of place to grab a bit and relax, there is nothing wrong with this place at all. It actually took me back into the recesses of my mind reminiscing about this place in San de na di Piavi near Venice Italy, when I was stationed there back in 1974… but that’s another story

Came here the first night of our vacation. Nice outdoor patio and servers and hostess were very friendly. The food however, was ehhh. We ordered the banging shrimp special and a pretzel to start. Both tasted like they came straight out of the freezer. The pretzel looked like a street pretzel. Boring! I had a steak wrap for dinner and it was ok. Nothing to rave about. Drinks were small and not cheap compared to nearby restaurants. I wouldn’t visit again.

It was just bad. My $ 16 Ceasar salad with chicken was a bagged salad(and not fresh) with fried chicken tenders. It was a disappointment. Our waiter was a really nice kid, but you could tell he was uncomfortable(like he knew he was serving us bad food and has probably been yelled at several times for it.) Keep walking past and find somewhere else.

Went back to JC Montana’s yesterday and I stand by my original review the place is always at the top of our list I don’t understand why people bash the place I have been in the restaurant business for many years and JC Montana’s has quality fresh delicious food at moderate prices with always attentive and courteous service the staff is a little young so you have to be somewhat patient the bartender made some delicious potent drinks for myself and my wife, this time around I had the shrimp scampi which was very very tasty with huge jumbo shrimp im a lemon white wine and butter sauce my wife enjoyed her flank steak which was cooked to perfection I love the beautiful deck to people watch on the sidewalk and views of scenic Lake George in the background you will not be disappointed if you take your family here for lunch or dinner trust me

Spending the week here decided to stop in because of the outdoor seating. Waitress was super nice. Started with a pretzel $ 8 it was like one of the frozen ones you buy. I had fried shrimp was actually very good my son had the Mac and cheese he seemed to enjoy it. Wife had shrimp and pasta with garlic sauce special she said it was very good except pasta was over cooked my daughter had a chicken Cesar wrap no problem. It’s a typical lake Georgia summer spot the only issue I had(because I don’t expect much up here) was they didn’t refill the soda for free which the waitress apologized for at $ 2.50 each it gets pricey

Stopped in two days before the Fourth of July and were seated immediately(outside). Young male waiter was very nice. Our Group of four ordered: 1) chicken tacos(pretty small portion with no sides given, so teenage son was still hungry and ate mom’s pasta) 2) seafood enchilada(shrimp, lobster, and scallops) with rice was decent and large portion 3) boneless buffalo chicken wings appetizer 4) pasta and chicken was very good portion but chicken was cold but good Overall decent meal but got check and noticed we were charged for nine drinks(4 people). Asked waiter why we were not given«free refills» and he practically ran away from us. $ 2.50 for a regular(12 ounce?) soda is ridiculous … and refills are added on? Only place in America who does this? Adds up on bill fast. Lose a star for this hefty add on.

Nice people, good service, not great food. Definitely not worth the price. Sorry, best I can say.

Food was sub par. Salad was bagged grocery store salad. Food was reheated frozen food. Probably microwaved. The only good thing about this place was the friendly young waiter, David. He was a nice kid. And I think he is well aware of the quality of food he serves. I would never eat here again… Even if it was free.

Kitchen has a weird idea of how to prepare food. Table of 9 no one liked it. Pretty much says it all

Great wings– we only had the wings — the rest if the menu didn’t seem very appetizing and was very pricey. Friendly staff– good service

Been meaning to write a review of this place. Visited this summer with my in laws, and found that we could not eat inside because they have no way for a handicapped person in a wheelchair to get in! Had to eat out on the patio, which was fine… but… This same guy also can’t eat breading as he’s on a gluten free diet, So we asked the waiter if they could make veal parmigiana with the veal cutlets that were unbreaded as listed in the menu for their marsala. The guy supposedly asked the chef who said they couldn’t substitute because he was so busy(it was NOTATALL busy). WHAT? For real? You have unbreaded veal, how hard is it to use that instead of the breaded veal? Laziness, pure and simple. My shrimp scampi came with a huge amount of pasta and four huge prawns, but the sauce was absolutely awful. It was basically olio. NASTY. No flavor at all. I ate the shrimp and stopped. Everyone else’s meals were sub par. I say save your money, and if you’re handicapped or have a dietary limitation, don’t even bother.

Stopped here after braving the Polar Plunge. Typical restaurant serving bar food. Their southwest nachos are by far the best deal on the menu. Huge plate of tortilla chips covered in cheese, corn, pulled pork, southwest spices, and sweet peppers. I probably should have split it and just had a small side salad. I had a grilled chicken sandwich, which was dry, as I expected. They say it’s marinated in balsamic vinegar, but there is absolutely no way there was balsamic vinegar involved in any way in the making of that sandwich. I haven’t had a juicy grilled chicken sandwich in a long time, so I’m not surprised. Husband had a burger that he really enjoyed. Not bad.
