Grabbed dinner here with my family since no other place would take a reservation. it’s one of the few places that would take a large group. I ordered another sushi boat. The Chinese dishes were pretty good, including Hunan beef, Sesame chicken, General Tso’s and Lo Mein.

This place is a lot of fun and the service is terrific! Wait staff were friendly and totally on top of our orders, which is saying something in this town that is full of part-time summer staffers. The bar manager came by a few times(not in an overbearing way – just friendly) to make sure we got what we wanted and liked what they made us.(Yes!) Our chef was cute, funny and did all the tricks. I mean, you know what you are getting at a hibachi place, right? These guys deliver. It was a really fun night for us and the Little Guy. Didn’t veer off into sushi or other dishes but can say we had a blast and delicious food at the hibachi table. Book a reservation for some family fun that isn’t crap.(See: Gaffigan, Jim)

Not 4 stars as in «really great place», but 4 stars as in «hibachi and sushi in lake george for 2 families was tasty and fun». Hibachi chef was great and kids loved it. Sushi was not bad. Good for the value, especially since we had a coupon.

Had lunch here last weekend and it was amazing! Got there about 2:15 and the place was empty. We were seated right away. It did take a few minutes for someone to come over to our table, but the food totally made up for it. As an appetizer, we ordered the fried pork dumplings. The portion was huge {I think maybe 6 very good-sized dumplings} with dipping sauce that was very good. We also got the traditional salad {SO fresh} and soup {also very good}. For our entrees, we did the Hibachi steak and Hibachi scallops. We did order the lunch portion and they were HUGE! I can’t imagine how big dinner portions are {I would have expected to pay dinner prices that’s how big the portions were}. The rice, noodles, veggies and meat were outstanding. I can’t say enough about how delicious all the food was. Our cook was very personable and funny and cooked FAST! I cannot wait to go back.

Decent food. The Chinese is better than the Japanese. Came for lunch, nice little spot if you are in the lake George area and are craving sushi

We went a few times. The rolls are tiny in comparison to other sushi bars. The tuna was always warm and didn’t hold together. The last time, we ordered take out I got a shrimp tempura roll for $ 8.95 and my husband got the chefs special. Spicy Dragon roll at $ 15.95. His roll was tinier than mine and tasted like the same tuna roll that we had previously. Shouldn’t there be a little WOW factor with the chefs special and costing twice as much? Seriously don’t just assume we don’t know sushi. Kick it up and see what your competitors are serving. No thank you SY

We’ve had many 4 and 5 star meals at the hibachi tables here, but tonight’s meal in the dining room was like visiting another restaurant altogether. We started with sushi and eggrolls, and those were very good, although we had to ask for individual plates, which should have been the tipoff that the service was going to be terrible. The server paid no attention to anything, did not notice when we needed refills, and failed to offer dessert as an option before bringing the check. My entrée was spectacularly under-seasoned and the beef was chewy and seemed cheap. My wife’s Dragon and Phoenix was nowhere near the level of heat you should expect with this dish. On top of all these problems, the dining room was at least 80 degrees on a warm summer day. If you go, get a hibachi table. This dining room visit was almost a total disaster, at a cost of nearly $ 120 for three people. The sushi and eggrolls were good, but not $ 120 good. Sushi Yoshi, you need to fix these problems. We could have gone to Ichiban in Albany for half the price including gas and had a much, much better meal.

Our server Tiana was great! We had three rolls. The Boston roll, the spicy California crab roll, the pearl roll. They were all delicious. Reasonably priced definitely worth going for lunch or dinner.

I tried to use a gift certificate there on 9⁄4 which I didn’t realize expired on 8⁄31(gift certificates do not expire in New York State for 5 years BTW) and was rudely told that I was too late. I don’t care how good the food might be, I won’t eat there and what terrible service. It’s basically robbery — you got paid for a service that you didn’t deliver. I was then looking for information on if this had happened to other people and then saw they had critical health code violations in 2013 for not having the food cooked to a temperature to kill bacteria and kept to 140 degrees. Maybe I’m lucky they wouldn’t take the gift certificates?

My friends and I came here for a bite to eat after a day outside. Being a chef myself, I’m constantly watching how other restaurants function. How the servers work the room, the amount of guests and their levels of satisfaction, etc. We were seated by a courteous gentleman and our server was very friendly and attentive! I have nothing bad to say about the service we received. I had the black-pepper-crusted seared tuna roll and a roll with tempura sweet potato. The tuna was very fresh and very rare – which was awesome. One of my friends had a sushi roll with tempura crab which she clearly enjoyed! The only real down sides were that the tea we had tasted a little funky, as if the hot water had come from a coffee maker that was due for a cleaning, and the dining room was very chilly. All in all, we found a solid good-quality dining experience at a decent price point. I would eat here again!

Very friendly staff. We sat in the bar area, the bar manager was our waiter, really knew his stuff! We started with sake bombs, fun experience! Everything we got was delicious! Had the spicy tuna roll and lump crab roll, prob the best sushi I’ve ever had! Appetizers were a little pricey but quality flavor! We split the beef fried rice and orange chicken! More then enough food to split! Can’t wait to go back!

My boyfriend and I went on a mission last night to Lake George to pick up /rescue my best friend from a bad situation of being left there. When we drove 3 hours to get there we were starving and my boyfriend said hey isn’t there a sushi yoshi in Lake George Jean? I looked back at him and couldn’t of been more proud of his foodie progression lol. usually its me with all these crazy and genius plans but this one definitely went to him. We walked up took some pictures at the sign to send to friends that would be insanely jealous we were there bc we go to the location in Killington, Vt all winter long I guess you can say were regulars there. We walked to the bar hoping to see Emma there and low and behold there she was we told her why we were there and she fixed us up a beautiful scorpion bowl that was mighty strong but hey we needed it we’ve been through a lot. Ang slurped down the middle Bacardi 151 shot and we ordered some food. Wings are definitely a must try here they are amazing and fried to perfection and drenched in General Tao’s sauce which is mighty tasty if you ask me. My friend and I ordered sushi rolls that were delicious. We were in a bit of a rush to get back so we hung for a few until we finished our food and were back on the road. Can’t wait till I get to taste those wings again =)

Adirondack roll was good. Pad Thai was good a bit heavy on the sauce however. Our waitress Simone was very nice and helped out very much also very pretty which didnt However about halfway through another employee came and asked if I needed a box. After asking this he says«no rush». Well if it’s no rush is there a reason you’re trying to get me to finish my food? I mean my grandmother and I were the two of only eight customers in the restaurant. We were no where finished my grandmother was still eating. Ignoring this service, was good and food was decent. A bit expensive for my taste, the spoils of living in Southern California. Very similar to a P.F. Chang’s which to me is just americanized Chinese food. Grandmother was very dissapointed they don’t serve udon. Which was the main reason she wanted to come. However I should of known upon entering seeing no other fellow Asian people I shouldn’t have expected it to be spectacular. Being from California Asian food is very prominent as there is a huge Asian population. So I have had my share of great Asian spots. Honestly being Asian has spoiled my taste of Asian cuisine. At the end of the day good vibe. Sushi is a a tad expensive. At the end of the day nothing spectacular. You may be better off making homemade cuisine for the price. Two people for $ 60 not including tip. However you may enjoy more than I did, and I hope you do. To each his/her own. But I’ve had better. I would give it two stars however waitress was nice and cute enough to give it three. I know I’m wrong. But hey, I’m young.

Chef was entertaining, wait staff was attentive and friendly, and the Food was delicious, HOWEVER; Our bill came and the price seemed a little high, so upon investigation they charge 13.50 for 1 large hot sake which is preposterous. I may go back but probably will not, that is price gouging and it’s not appreciated. Yes I know I could have checked before ordering, but in the 50 or so other Japanese restaurants I’ve visited the price has been between 5 and 9 dollars.

Our family has been to the lake George spot a couple of times. Not much to say. We only have tried the hibachi. The food was ok. The service seemed too slow for not having a busy room. The hibachi chef was fun but these places all have the same act. Seemed a little overpriced.

Pretty disappointing. I was hoping that I’d find a good sushi place in LG, but no such luck. I was surprised to see the sign for Chinese food… and much of the menu is cooked(Chinese…some Japanese) food. We got an assortment of sushi — nothing cooked… some sake and some hot green tea. The tea tasted like hot water, the sake was fine and the sushi was mediocre. The restaurant is actually really big but seems to be in need of some renovation and/or updating. The room we were in was kind of dark and the atmosphere was a little strange — classic rock was blasting from the speakers. It’s only open for the summer season; they close down in the beginning of September… so I guess they do enough business to keep opening up for that limited time. There’s another location in VT — which I assume is open year-round. Not sure I’d run back here again. The bright spot was the waitress… she was a nice kid but seemed a little overwhelmed. The sushi also took an extraordinary amount of time to make/get delivered. Several of the other tables in the vicinity seemed to have trouble with their orders(sending things back or waiting for a crazy amount of time for attention). It was also way too expensive for the quality.

Have been here twice and to the Killington, VT Sushi Yoshi too many times to count. I am not sure where the negative reviewers eat that would suggest that this place is not good, but I must totally disagree. The food is always great and the servers have always been very attentive As for the reviewer that said the place smelled Iike Grandmas wet carpet, I’m glad I’ve never been to his Grandmas house, but if you have ever cooked Chinese food you would know that it definitely has a unique odor to it. Maybe he should buy a Wok and cook some Chinese food at home and see what his kitchen smells like. Does Starbucks smell like beer?
