Not bad for a California style taco shop. I particularly like Humberto’s breakfast burritos and the Humberto’s burrito. Steer clear of their enchiladas because the sauce is a bit too tangy and they can stand to improve their ceviche a bit.

Stopped there on our way to Las Vegas. The machaca breakfast burrito was excellent and it had egg, machaca, jalapeños, potatoes. Good flavor & huge. The chicken burrito was huge and the pico de gieo(sp) was fresh. Will go there again.

We we were hungry so we stopped for a basic 3 rolled tacos, carne asada and chicken burrito. Tacos were burnt with very little meat, carne asada was very very fatty, and the chicken was dry and no flavor. Won’t come back here again!

Was here last year and forgot to write a review so here it is. — — – Really? How can you have a Mexican restaurant, even a casual one like this and not have cabbage just some mealy lettuce for tacos, etc. Their food was nothing to crow about, the salsa mediocre and the beans flavorless. To top it all off there was a TV playing cartoons in Spanish to an empty room so loudly I could not even think. I had to ask them to turn it down so I could eat my meal in peace. Won’t be going back here again next time I’m in Havasu.

We stopped here while on vacation. We chose it because of other Unilocal reviews. The food was so delicious! I ordered the Carne Asada fries. The steak was full of flavor. It was a big portion my husband and I should have shared! We also had the strawberry churros for dessert. They remind me of state fair funnel cakes. Every thing was great and the price was right.

Horrible experience!!! We used to eat at this establishment frequently however this past Friday night, we waited at the order menu and were asked to wait not once but twice, making it through two songs on the radio, before placing our order. We thought it must be slammed, but there was no one in there. We pulled up to the window and no one came over to review our order or take our money. There was a young man casually talking to another guy across the counter, and then he was on his cell phone. We contemplated leaving but we kept giving them the benefit of the doubt and waiting another minute. We sat there for a good ten minutes before the guy finally came over and asked for our money. We could tell by the amount he requested that he did not get our order correct, and when we said it was wrong, the young man got all upset telling us not to yell at him, and told us if we weren’t happy to just leave. We asked him for his name so that we could contact the owner or manager, but he would not give it to us. He literally was tripping out on us. This review is not regarding the food which we have had, and has always been good. If you are the owner or manager of this establishment, I would look to see who was running the window and front of the house on the evening of Friday, June 12th. This man is costing you money and customers.

My husband’s new favorite place to go. So many amazing options and the food tastes just like it is coming from mom’s kitchen. The burritos are so good and the carne asada quesadilla was the best I have ever had.

Well priced, delicious Mexican food! Especially if you order from the specials– lots of bang for your buck! I love that they have Jamaica Tea. There’s nothing like it, and it’s my drink of choice when my hubby and I visit Isla Mujeres MX. I had the ‘rolled’ taco special. These are glorified taquitos, and they were filled with beef, and very good. Humberto’s has a little smörgåsbord of hot carrots, three types of salsas, radishes, lime slices, and other condiments, that compliment their fresh food perfectly.

I freaking LOVELOVELOVE this place. Best breakfast burritos in the world. I base my reviews of all other burritos in comparison to these! My favorite is the Chorizo with extra Pico. Their ceviche is awesome.

We seen a lot of bad reviews here and were very skeptical about coming. One night after being burnt out on the ordinary food we decided to try the local Mexican. I have to say the carne asada fries are outstanding! A must try for everyone I love this place

I was born and raised in Southern California, living most of my early life in La Puente. On Valley Blvd. just off the 605 fwy. was a little hole in the wall taco place that served breakfast burritos. I know nostalgia sometimes colors our memory, but I remember those breakfast burritos being the best thing this side of Heaven. I’m not saying Humberto’s is quite up to that, but I can state unequivocally Humberto’s is by far the closest I’ve had anywhere. Granted, breakfast burritos aren’t the most challenging dish, but it’s the simplicity that makes so many cooks just throw things together and call it done. The tortillas are fresh, the chile is excellent, eggs are fluffy, but the bacon is the best I’ve had outside of Ireland. Now I order without potatoes, which are just fries; it’s not bad with potatoes, it’s just better without them. They seem to dilute the flavor. One more thing, if you’re looking for something quick, this isn’t the place. I use the drive-thru and I’ve phoned an order or two in because of the time it takes. I’m not complaining, just passing info along. Home-cooked food does take longer. Finally, I’m told their carne asada fries are to die for. I’ve actually ordered them a couple times, but my daughter somehow forgets the fries, bringing home only an empty container. One of these days.

Delicious! I love the carne asada super nachos. My boyfriend and I get them a couple times a week and mmm mm! Wonderful. The horchata is made fresh, not with powder, and I can definitely say I’m hooked. On top of the food being great, the employees are very nice and friendly.

This place was not good. I can’t believe all the people who gave this 4 and 5 stars. Clearly they have never left Havasu before, and come to LA to have real Mexican food. Tried to order in the drive thru 1st…“hello? hello? helllllllooooo?” No response. Parked and went inside. Ordered a chicken taco with a crispy shell. This 1 was good. Fresh chicken and packed with meat. Had a carne asada taco and hubby ordered carne asada burrito; the meat was so nasty! They do not use high quality steak and the texture of the meat was so bad I think dog food is probably better. I took 1 bite and spit it out. I can’t believe no reviews have been written on how bad the carne is… shocked. Salsa bar consists of 2 unappetizing salsas and pickled veggies… nasty. If I need a taco next time I’m in town, Del Taco would be a better choice.

Holy crap this place is pretty horrible. My bro ordered a chicken burrito. the only thing in the burrito was chicken. what the hell? My other bro ordered a roll taco combo, it was literally the tiniest string of meat inside a super thick taco full of guac. no taste, nothing. The salsa was equally disgusting and dry. This place is massively over rated, probably as a result of all the GDI’s thinking Mexican food is so amazing since they’re not exposed to it much– this place is absolutely horrible!

Up front, I have to admit, I usually to not eat at Humberto’s Taco Shop because I am such a fan of Tecualas, which is right next store. But, yesterday evening I pulled into Tecualas around 8:00pm only to find it closed. So, I reluctantly went over to Humbertos for a burritos. To be fair, I have to say I haven’t really gone to Humbertos because last time I was in there it was really dirty inside. And if the lobby is dirty, what does the kitchen look like? So, last night I walked in to find the lobby was a little bit cleaner than last time I was in there. Would I say it was clean … no, I am afraid I could not. I ordered a Carnitas Burrito«for here» and a small soda. The bill was about $ 8.00. Definitely higher than Tecualas would have been. When the Burrito came out, I was pleasantly surprised. It was very large and quite tasty. So, in the end, I gave Humberto’s 3 stars. I came up with the number by averaging the dirt factor(2 stars) with the food factor(4 stars) and ended up with the 3 star rating. Definitely close your eyes and eat inside or drive thru and you don’t have to look! :-)

This is one of our go-to places when we come to LHC. The rolled tacos and machaca burritos rival(and IMHO are better than) the real Alberto’s.(San Diego Alberto’s chain). Prices and portions are reasonable. Dining room has plenty of seating and they have drive thru service.
