Chopstick King

Typical Chinese takeout. It’s good and I’ve been there 4 times (so far) which speaks volumes since I’m a nervous Chinese takeout food customer. I especially like their shrimp mei fun and vegetable dumplings.

I have ordered take out from here for years considering this is in a strip mall and far from the city the food is better then most and always fresh plus the staff are always friendly and never complain about special requests.

Saw the cooks lift their septic lid in the back with their cooking utensils I would never eat at this place. I was told the food is good but after seeing that I walked out. Be careful it seems very unsanitary doing something like that.

Why all the bad reviews? I don’t think this place has the best chinese food but I thought our food was pretty darn fresh and delicious and the people working there were very friendly too. And that’s saying alot. Most chinese places have some of the meanest staff working there.
We came here on our way back from Pennsylvania, we ordered the szechuan beef, lobster low mein and the beef chow fun. Everything was hot, fresh and super yummy. And not super greasy like other chinese take out places. The lobster lomein was especially good. Try that.
Over all, a very solid place, and people were friendly. Would definitely return if I’m in the area

Decided to give this place another try after they screwed up my order once before! Last night they screwed up my order once again! I guess that is going to happen when you have young (10 year old) child taking your order! The icing on the cake is we start eating our food and my daughter finds a bug in her rice!!! Never again will I go to this place. Don’t bother not worth it!!!

Gave them a second chance and will never go back. This a small take out place. I have never seen more than two people in the place at once. It is hidden away in the corner of the shopping plaza. Even their fortune cookie was stale.

Chopstick King in Lake Hopatcong has really good Chinese food. It is not a dine-​in restaurant, although it does have 2 or 3 tables available for someone looking to grab a quick meal. The interior definitely needs a makeover, but the food is A+ for typical Chinese take-​out.
The entire strip mall that Chopstick King is located within was purchased by the family who owns Jefferson Diner, which is also located in that strip mall. They have given the exterior a complete face lift and have reworked the parking lot. They did a great job!
I took a star away because Chopstick King no longer offers delivery, which is a real downer for anyone living in this area since the only other place that delivers is Vinny & Son Pizza and Restaurant.

The place is a bit of a dive, but for takeout or delivery, these places sometimes are… The food is almost as good as typical or average. However, on one instance, I ordered chicken lo mein, and it tasted like fish. Accidents happen I guess.
Update: The food has gotten better so I bumped my review to three stars. They also put up a new sign. The parking lot needs some work.
