I have mixed feelings about my Pipeline Plumbing(Lake Oswego, Oregon) experiences. I started using them a few years ago on the recommendation of my neighbor. On the plus side, The Pipeline scheduler is generally accommodating if you need service quickly. Quickly for them being within 24 – 48 hours. The Plumbers who have come by have generally been competent and have done a good or at least acceptable job. No major complaints about the work. However, several years ago, Pipeline came by to fix a leak in a drain pipe which required replacing a small section of PVC pipe and installing a new drain gasket. Recently, the gasket started leaking and the Pipeline guy re-tightened the fitting which fixed the leak. I’m not looking for free service and I realize that it costs Pipeline money to send out a guy with a truck. But… this problem was due to the first Pipeline guy not tightening down the gasket fitting properly so I expected some consideration on the re-repair cost. $ 145!!! To tighten a fitting! That their own guy didn’t tighten properly! Yikes!!! In addition, a month or so ago I had all three toilets rebuilt by Pipeline. The chain on one of the new flapper valves is getting hung up and it doesn’t seat properly causing the toilet to run constantly until you notice it and remove the lid to fix it. Needless to say this isn’t doing any wonders for my water bill! I mentioned it the the Pipeline guy who came by to re-repair my drain gasket and he didn’t have the part with him. Told me to go to Home Depot and get one and install it myself. Since I just paid $ 521 a couple of weeks ago to have these toilets fixed, I felt that this«solution» was BS. I guess I’ll have to find a new/better plumbing company, unfortunately. I’ve used Morlan for 20+ years before going with Pipeline and only changed when Morlan decided to get out of the plumbing business and just sell and service water heaters. In fact, Morlan was just out here to install a new water heater. Pipeline’s pricing for a new water heater just was not competitive. It’s really a shame since Pipeline could be an outstanding company if they put a little effort towards customer satisfaction, backing up their work and doing the right thing by their customers. Greed and not very good customer service will likely cost them a customer. If Pipeline plumbers didn’t do an adequate job when they show up, I would have given Pipeline one star instead of two.

I asked Pipeline out to bid on re-piping our water supply lines since the old galvanized pipe was slowly falling apart. I also had other projects for them. The bid was very competitive. The team spent 8 work days installing all supply lines, installing a recirculating pump and return line, moving a toilet and adding a sink to the bathroom. We had hot and cold water in place by 4pm each day. They did a great job and cleaned up every day. Our water now tastes great, we have full water pressure and hot water in seconds. Pleasant folks to deal with — highly recommended.
