Not many tables inside so we grabbed seats at the counter. I ordered a Dog with Bacon and my friend the Breakfast Poutine. I was hesitant to get«Poutine» because Cheese Curds rhyme with… never mind… Anyway– if you’ve never had them, cheese curds are similar in consistency to Tofu. Add that to Fries, and smother in an Amazing Brown Gravy– and. Whoa! that’s some good Sh! t!!! Breakfast Poutine adds a Fried Egg and Bacon. Mmmm Mmmm Mmmm!

Sadly our group of four and one other customer was the full extent of today’s lunch business after we arrived at 12:30 and left at 2:00. Service was pleasant and my three friends shared the poutine and reported favorably. Not my thing. We all had hotdogs which were ¼ pound but while the Vienna sign was on the wall the hot dog failed the CHICAGO test by not being Vienna not served on a poppyseed bun. Nevertheless the fog was tasty and the lobster roll bun was toasted and held the ingredients. Some of us elected grilled onion instead of raw with a slight up charge. Chicago hot dogs have sliced tomatoes not cherry tomatoes. Soda choices limited and served by the can at $ 1.50 each. Should have chosen wine from the very reasonably priced choices. Including the poutine and 5 cans of soda and a generous gratuity the bill came to $ 15 pp Ownership should include fries with the hot dogs without charge. Parking is not easy to find. Note closed Mondays. I don’t see any reason to return.

I was so looking forward to poutine, but they’re not open today. I called but the answering machine but there was no message saying why they weren’t open

I’m probably not a good reviewer for this since I felt like I ate a brick. I usually try to eat light but really wanted to try some cheese curds so found this highly rated establishment and we got the ground beef poutine and chili dog. Everything was fine and the service was great since we were only 1 of 2 parties in the place on Sunday around 1:00 pm. Whimsical décor with a 50’s diner flair. Nice place to eat but I wouldn’t go outta the way to get here.

Went in for an after school snack with my minions. We ended up ordering poutine and a BLT dog. The BLT dog I liked, my kids not so much. But these dogs are fried, not grilled, and I think that threw the kids off. It is a completely different taste when a dog is fried. I enjoyed it though. The poutine was hands down the best I have had. I’ve had poutine locally before, and the«curds» others have used is either shredded cheese, or more cottage cheesey consistancy. This was not that. These were firm, yummy, cheesey chunks of goodness. And the gravy was nice and beefy. Fries were well cooked too. Overall good. And the waitress was as sweet as can be also. Overall I will def be back with the kids, they want to try the breakfast poutine next.

Great poutine! I had the smoked meat poutine. Everything about it tasted legit: awesome gravy, squeaky cheese curds, and tender smoked meat. I just wish my cheese curds had melted a bit more.

Breakfast poutine today was outstanding ! Fried egg was cooked to perfection. Our waitress said they were making some changes to the menu and the mac and cheese is no longer available. Wonder what will replace it?

Great poutine. Only place in Florida that I know has this. Reminds of me of summer trips to Canada

Not bad putine. I had the pulled pork and the beef. They were both ok. The soda was warm with ice so not good.

First Poutine place I heard of and they did not disappoint. It was my first time having it and it was amazing. And the hot dogs was on point as well. My fiancé and I had a bacon wrapped pineapple relish dog and the peanut butter and bacon dog. AWESOMENESS!!!

On the way back to Miami from Orlando, I did a quick search for dinner and found Poutine Dog Café. Having tried poutine for the first time the day before, Mark A. & I were hooked and were down to have some more. We ended up sharing the Texas burger melt and poutine. The burger was good! Juicy and spiced well, so that you’re not just eating a piece of meat. Unfortunately, I wasn’t as happy about the fries. They were a tad overcooked, crunchy, almost burnt. The gravy helped a little, but I was still disappointed. Our server was very friendly, though. She gave Mark the extra of his milkshake that didn’t originally fit in the glass, rather than throw it away. It was a good late dinner stop, but probably won’t come back to the area for it again.

It probably is closer to 3 ½ stars, not bad but could be better. The service and atmosphere are both good. I had the Bamboo Dog with a side of traditional poutine. This hot dog is wrapped in bacon, fried and served with pineapple relish and bbq sauce on a lobster roll type bun. The hot dog was very salty, which would have been okay if the relish had enough pineapple — it didn’t. If I hadn’t read it, I wouldn’t have guessed it contained any pineapple. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to finish the hot dog. The poutine was good — especially the gravy which did taste like poutine you would get in Montréal. The cheese curds were not warm and gooey enough for my taste. They have Tim Horton’s coffee, which I’ve only seen in Canada and it’s delicious. I would definitely go again to try a burger or grilled cheese with the poutine.

I had the California burger that had pepper jack cheese avacado picked onion, special mayo… and I added bacon! It was cooked perfectly and it tasted like heaven. I’ve eaten here before and had a dog, no poutine… not my thang, but the dog was great!

Food was still good, your new waitress is TERRIBLE! Service was not good and her attitude was even worse. We’ve been coming here since you opened, we rave about this place to anyone and everyone we can and then we have service like today and it really puts a damper on the entire experience. Not a happy customer.

Too Bad, So Sad! What happened?! Found this place in January and it was awesome then! Great portions, great taste! What really drew us to this place were the awesome poutines, seeing that I am from Quebec. The owner worked really hard to perfect the fries and the poutine sauce and their poutine rivaled some of the best from Quebec. Since then the portions have shrunk and quality has suffered. When we first went to get poutine, we got the large size, which was way too much. So the next time we got the small and even then thought is was too much. 2 months ago, we got the small size and thought that the portion size had shrunk, but just thought it was a one off situation. So, we went again a month ago and got the small size and thought the portion shrunk once more. Today, we decided to get the large portion and it came out the size of the small from last time we were there. Confirmed it was a large, and didn’t question it further. Even the taste quality was bad as well?! I know the owner was not there today, but I sure hope she is able to rectify this in the future. As is, we are going to give them one more shot in the future, which will be the deciding vote as to whether we go back ever again. Like mentioned at the outset, it really is too bad that such a great restaurant has let their product suffer like this. Makes me wonder what happened?! Will provide update on future visit.

Very cool place, love the atmosphere. Very artsy. Lots of fun stuff & colors. The hotdogs are amazing and the Poutine fabulous! Get the peanut butter and bacon hotdog, you will love it. Bottomless mimosas on Sundays!!!

I got a Chicago dog with a side of the poutine. The dog was decent sized(Vienna), and tasted pretty good. Could have used a couple sport peppers and celery salt but other wise true to the style(onions, tomato, relish, dill pickle) This was my first time trying poutine and it was what I expected, pretty good. The fries, gravy, and cheese curds seem to compliment each other well. Yum. Service was friendly. They have beer on tap and also found out they carry Mexican coke too. Place is creatively decorated and clean. Bar and table seating available. A cool place to try if you’re in downtown Lake Worth or just craving some good hot dogs.

I experienced Poutine Dog Café last night with 2 friends. The atmosphere reminded me of a hip diner you see featured on the food network that is always too far to travel to, but you wish you could. We finally have a spot in downtown Lake Worth that produces this kind of envy! It also helps that they chose a location in a building that is charming and looks every bit as old as the city itself; meant in the best way possible. This isn’t some wannabe place masquerading as a diner — it’s the real deal folks. We were greeted by Brie who was serving other patrons at the time, but was kind enough to let us know she would be right with us. Brie was a huge part of my experience. She answered all of my questions and I tried my best to throw some curveballs. She was at ease and it was soon evident she knew the business. She offered us wine and beer. Wine piqued my interest and I was shocked that they carried Riesling. It was excellent. The menu had variations on the Quebec cuisine as well as sandwiches and hot-dogs that sound ridiculously good. Consider the L-DUB dog — creamy peanut butter topped with crispy bacon? This is one of a plethora of unique items that I will be certain to try during future visits. I ordered the spicy Italian poutine and Brie accommodated me by adding sausage, peppers, and onions. The base of French fries was hot, crispy, and stood up well to the sauce and cheese that were placed on them. The sausage, peppers, and onions really made the dish complete and paired well with the homemade sauce. The Riesling offered the necessary balance due to the spice. One of my friends ordered the ultimate grilled cheese which consisted of bacon, parmesan Dijon aioli, and grilled and blended with Gruyère and sharp cheddar. I know what I am ordering next! I am truly looking forward to my next experience. Brie is a special part of this place that made us feel like we were at home. The music was perfect, the décor was fun and interesting with all the little details that we like to gaze at while dining. Do yourself a favor and give them a try. You will become a regular.

Let it be known that this is my first ever review on Unilocal.I have been using this service for a little over two years and have never felt compelled to leave a review(good or bad). But this fateful night on my vacation to palm beach Florida I went to the poutine dog café and had a food experience that left me motivated to take the time to wright a review. Manly because of the amazing service from our totally rad server Brie. She made us feel very relaxed and at home with her clever banter and witty remarks. Oh yeah and by the way the food is amazing. Like out of this world good. If you find yourself in lake worth Florida do yourself a favor and check out the poutine dog café. You will not be disappointed.

4 stars Solid! Found this place on Unilocal, heard Poutine(Poo-tin), but never had it before. The description of it really didn’t excite my friend or I, but we had to give it a try. We both ordered the Bamboo dog. How can you go wrong with a deep fried hot dog wrapped in bacon. It came with the pineapple relish, which we were both sketchy about, but it was perfect! Bun was stellar too… not soft and mushy. As for the sides, we both admitted to liking the Poutine way more than we anticipated. The gravy was gooood. As far as the cheese curds,…well you can never go wrong with fried cheese. Definitely a great find here. All comfort food so health nuts beware. We will definitely be back.
