The best way you get to know an area is to eat where the locals eat. In this part of the world, On the Run is where the locals have breakfast. For example, you will meet the DPW crews, many of whom have their own coffee cup on the shelf, as they start their day. And these folks have all been very friendly to an out of towner — driving a sports car! The other reason to eat here is the runwich — their trademark egg sandwich is a clever take on the breakfast meal you eat with your hands. They have several varieties including bacon, cheese, eggs all on a few different breads. I have had most of them and can tell you that this is a good way to start your day. Prices are aimed at the budgets of local customers, meaning fair and reflective of the quality. Good coffee. Juice in the cooler. Baked pastries and muffins. Yummy sandwiches and a friendly atmosphere. Recommended.

Amazing breakfast sandwiches. This place opens really early if you need somewhere to get your breakfast in the morning. One of the few things to do in Lakeville.

Not a fan of the coffee. If you’re looking to get breakfast, the breakfast sandwiches are amazing and my personal favorite is a blueberry muffin that they slice in half, butter both sides and cook it on the griddle. So good.

I’m not sure what a person’s state of residence has to do with anything, even if they do give the place a one-star review. I probably show up as a Californian too, but that’s too simple considering how much people move around these days. Anyway, I did read the negative reviews and went in prepared for the worst, but I was pleasantly surprised. The ladies were a bit terse at first, but they warmed up and were quite friendly. The sandwich I received was very good and toasted to perfection. In total it took about 5 minutes to get my latte and sandwich. I would happily return for another runwich.

Was in Salisbury for five or so days. Each morning the usual craving for coffee happened and it was nice that we were staying at a house right next door to On the Run Coffee Shop. The first morning I went there, it seemed as if they weren’t very welcoming of travelers. They wouldn’t socialize very much and seemed to just want me in and out. Went another day and their mood was a little more upbeat. Maybe just a bad morning for my first impression? Wasn’t there long enough to know. The coffee was good and the price isn’t bad. They seemed to have a close connection to the locals that were there ordering food and drink. Definitely a nice little place for that nice little town, I just think they are a little weary of travelers– in my opinion,

I remember coming here when I was a kid, and I love the fact that I can come here now that I’m an adult and get the same friendly service and great food. I also love the fact that I can come here anytime of the day and see local people, a lot of whom I knew as a kid, and not have to deal with the uppity city people that crowd places like Irving Farm. I recently came here for late breakfast with my mom on a random visit home, after I hadn’t eaten here in ages. The service was fast and the ladies behind the counter were nice. The breakfast sandwich I ordered was amazing and my mom was perfectly happy with her coffee. This is the best place to go if you want real food for breakfast(instead of nasty McDonald’s) and don’t want to deal with the pretentiousness of other places in the area.

This place is great in certain ways but in others it’s pretty bad. I’ll start with the good things. They’ve had a long time reputation. The same ladies still work there that were there when I was in high school ten years ago. They are a tight knit little family of employees which is great. They have all sorts of funny little sayings around the inside of the shop. They have an awesome grab and go salad and their dressing is the perfect size small container. The whole salad actually gets dressing and you don’t feel like you got cheated out of it at all. They’re mostly quick but watch out if you’re a young lady they might skip you and take care of the men first. Which leads me to how they’re not so great. Every time I order anything anything at all that has to go through the totaster, it comes out burnt, black like crusted burnt every single time without fail. Many of the times I have noticed the black and burnt areas before the item was finished being made. They have asked me is that okay? NO ofcourse it’s not okay! But I always am in a hurry when I’m there(thus the name On the Run) so I can’t ever wait for a new slow burned toasted item to be made. Maybe it will take them another ten years to figure out that if you’re going to be a coffee shop and you’re gonna toast things, you might want to not burn them. But for now I just steer clear of toasting anything with them.

Awful. Stale baked goods, flavorless coffee. Starving and bleary eyed, could not finish either. Blech. Avoid.

The place where«everyone knows your name». Service with a smile. Quick! They understand that life is busy and you have to keep moving.

Finally a fast, clean and friendly place to eat breakfast or lunch and get some regular coffee for a decent price. You can basically get a full lunch and drink for about $ 6 bucks. There is no skimping on sandwiches here. They have daily specials and if you want to make sure you get one, call ahead and have one saved. All the soups and salads are prepared from scratch and they are delicious. All the breakfast pastries are baked every morning and donuts are brought in fresh at 5AM. The girls at On the Run are fun and meals are prepared fast. Phone orders are accepted as well. You should stop in and give it a try, it’s definitely a favorite of mine.
