Albertsons

It’s really disappointing how this place operates. They advertise food and then don’t stock enough throughout the day. Second day in a row I’ve gone to pick something up and they’re completely out of it because it’s «frozen» they can’t go in the back and get any more. They pass blame to the «night crew» for stocking when it’s in actuality everyone’s fault for not having enough to begin with. Managers, crew, all of them. False advertisement. I plan to go to their corporate office with this.

they have closed quite a few of the Albertson’s out here in Southern CA, but this one is still going strong
came here to load up on some coffee for Christmas gifting, they had plenty of the Starbucks bags in stock, so no problem here!
this store is usually pretty well stocked, and the staff keep in neat and clean
picked up a rib-​eye roast for Christmas too, their butcher’s here are pretty friendly and helpful. they were out of prepackaged ones, so went and got one from counter, the gal actually went in back and brought out a few more to choose from
they have a nice selection of alcohol here too, got a few gift sets to keep around for the holidays… never know when you’ll need that extra «floater» gift, right?
only drawback of store is they lock one of the doors around 9pm, so if you shop around then, make sure to park towards right entrance (facing the building)

Rudest deli department. I call to ask a question and it appears I must have been bothering the lady that picked up the phone. Would never shop here again.

I rarely come to Albertson’s, and this particular location isn’t very convenient in terms of getting in/​out quickly considering it’s located in the Lakewood Mall complex which makes it pretty congested with traffic.
That being said, they carried an item that I couldn’t find at our usual grocery stores. I called in advance and after one disconnection and transfers to three associates, someone was able to finally tell me they had the item in stock.
Store is neat and well-​stocked. They have a nice deli area with good fried chicken that we’ve ordered for parties before. Employees seemed fine aside from the confusion and transfers over the phone.

Can’t take cake orders over the phone and their website is too busted to use to place one.

Despite my previous warning about this place, my family decided to order chicken from here again to give them a second chance.
The customer service was horrible this time and so was the chicken. This time it was an older white lady who was just rushing people through the line in a condescending tone and being quick with answers. Before you could finish she was already trying to rush you to the next step. She kept yelling to the back she was off work and their was a line but even if you are off, don’t take it out on the customers. It isn’t our fault you have poor management.
I get my chicken and she just throws it in brown paper bags and then drops it on the counter. I am looking at it and wondering why their is no foil or anything else to keep them warm? By the time I get them back home they are all going to be drenched from grease/​oil and cold. I ask her if I can get a box with foil in it (That is how they served it last time) and was told it is only for 50 pieces or more. Are you kidding me? So because I ordered 30 pieces of chicken and not 50 I get stuck with oily, greasy, and cold chicken?
When I got back to my parents place the chicken was everything like how I described. This place is absolutely awful and I will never come back here again. Next time I am at my parents house, I am showing them how to use Unilocal and find a good chicken place.

Very spacious super market. I’ve never found myself trying to squeeze through an aisle because there was a cart on both sides of me. That’s a really big perk in my book.
I also find that Albertsons has a lot more items that I usually want at a much cheaper price than other supermarkets in the area like Vons & Ralphs. Another perk!
I just wish they cracked down on all the solicitors outside. There’s always someone trying to get me to buy something that I don’t want/​need.

I came here to visit my boyfriend’s uncle Richard at the meat counter, who is a butcher. He was so knowledgeable and helpful. I got big, beautiful steaks for Valentine’s Day, and they were a hit! Everyone I spoke to here was very helpful. My only complaint is that I wish it were a little closer to my apartment.
