I love that this place looks probably exactly like it did back in the 50’s. Super friendly staff, who always have a smile and all the diner menu staples. I like the breakfast burrito, smothered in green chili(choice of red or green) and my husband likes the chicken fried steak. It’s always busy but somehow we get there in just the right time and get seated immediately. There’s a reason it’s been around since 1957.

I love this place! They make you feel like family! The food is delicious. Large quantities and very reasonable prices. I’m stuck on the breakfast burrito, it’s enough for 2 meals

If you are in the pursuit of just amazing trashy breakfast food with huge portions and great flavor, go here. I moved to Lakewood CO a few years ago from MPLS and found this place while driving around one morning. Couldn’t believe how good it was. I ordered the chicken fried steak with white gravy, eggs, and hashbrowns and a side of green chili. Absolutely awesome! I just moved away from Denver and ate there one more time, I had to write a review. If I ever go back to Colorado I will certainly be stopping there.

Classic dinner if the name, sign, and the big ass cowboy on the sign did not give it a way! Almost every seat is a window seat That being said great service fast food times my coffee cup never fell below half before being toped off a timed 6 min from ordering to food on the table eating

This place has a horse statue on the roof so i don’t know what else you would need to know except that the gravy on the hot turkey sandwich is bright yellow and amazing. Maybe I’ll go here to celebrate Administrative Assistant’s day. I can’t wait for all the celebrations.

I’m old! I mean, really OLD, and my dad would take me to breakfast here when I was a kid. Loved it then. Just went back today after about 35 years. It was just the same as I remember. Brought back memories and thought about how much my dad would have loved to be there having breakfast with me. Very nostalgic. Good food. Good prices. GREAT memories. What more can you ask for? Loved it!!!

Davies’ chuck wagon is an institution, or so I am told. It is one of the diner relics from days of Denver yore. There are only a couple other places with that claim to fame. We went with family for breakfast, and their is no way you will leave hungry. I had the breakfast burrito, with bacon, and covered with a bastardized green chile, with pork strewn about. No this is not authentic NM green style chile, but the sloppy and spicy nature certainly does not hurt the dish. Boyfriend had the chicken fried steak and eggs, with white gravy and pancakes. It was all solid. They are known for the under 7 $ sirloin and eggs. They make their own hot sauce, and steak sauce here. The fourth member of our party got the pork cutlet special, which was good, just a little on the dry side. One of our family members got up and asked for extra crispy hash browns, and boy were they. Be careful what you wish for. If you are looking for cheap mostly from scratch comfort food, this should be on the list to try.

Very cool old style diner. Very good service even though it was busy. I got the sirloin and eggs with hash browns and toast for $ 5.75. The steak could’ve used a little more flavor but was a decent size, and fairly tender for a sirloin. Besides that how can you complain for the price. I’ll be back

The other morning I woke up after a long night craving biscuits and gravy. I ordered it to go and it was ready in about 5 min. The lady server was super nice. Actually I think they’re all women over there I don’t know for sure though. There were two biscuits for $ 3.00 something with tax. Pretty good deal. There’s a few pieces of sausage in the gravy. I thought the b&g here was good, not amazing but the location is right across from my house and it’s quick and cheap. It’s tiny and stuffy inside so if I came to dine in(which I have once before) id sit outside again. Overall this satisfied my craving so I was happy.

I visit every time I’m in Denver because it’s amazing.. Make no mistake, it’s diner food in an old school diner. The special thing is: You get more food than you need, You pay less than is deserved, It’s better than you expected. The perfect place if you don’t love to cook. Grab that first stool as you walk in. Best seat in the house.!! Watch the amazing kitchen pump out great food., The front of the house run like a fine machine with a smile. No complaints here..

I found the food to be very affordable as well as pretty good. I purchased a Denver omelette with a side of pancakes and hot tea, all for $ 9. I thought that this was pretty good, considering that the food came out very, very fast after ordering it(about 5 minutes). The cook does not mess around! The seating area does look to be a little tight in some places. The same can be said about the parking lot in the rear of the building. I didn’t have lofty expectations for the diner, yet I was wowed by the good customer service presented from both the cashier and server. Overall, not a bad place.

Loved our waitress, she was a hoot. The food was just ok, standard diner-breakfast fare, though I will say it’s cheaper than say, Hits The Spot Diner. This is, of course, a landmark. You should try it for that reason alone, though don’t expect to be wowed. It’s fine. It’s affordable. It’s a-ok.

Blazing fast, short order cook with a old-time dining car feel. One of my good friends lasso’d me and drug me here kicking and screaming the entire way! Being a gen X makes places like this, make my skin crawl. I crave and enjoy internet connectivity, modernistic surroundings with a hint of coffee aroma int he air. I got one! There was definitely coffee here. But I must say I was surprised with the comfort of the atmosphere. There were definitely some people here who were«regulars» and the wait staff was amazing. No sooner did we order our food, blink and suddenly the food was on the table. It was actually prettty good grub. — The pancakes were great! — The coffee was good when sprinkled and creamed. — The guy named Charlie who was giving out nickles to the kids was cool. — The wait staff was incredibly friendly and efficient. I would have never stopped to eat here on a normal trip but would definitely say that the service and food changed my opinions of the small old diners from back in the day. I literally watched a patron shovel biscuits and gravy into his mouth like he hadn’t had food in a week. So, I assume that the B&G is fantastic. After we left, there was a Starbucks just down the street and we stopped again for another cup of joe. Only a joint would of made us higher…

Great Location because its close to my job. The seating and parking area are kind of quaint is what Ill call it. Great Servers and Employees. Drinks never reach the south end of the levy. The food comes out pretty quick. Eggs werent tough or runny. Scrambled with cheese just the way I like them. The Steak special cant be beat for the price. This will be my new diner when Im by work and feel like waking up a little earlier for a good meal before the workday.

Average, not great, but not bad either. Portion size is big, service is fast, fries are big and fresh, lettuce is crisp and chilled, buns are hearty and looked like potato rolls. What more can you ask for at prices like theirs? Alright, I did think of a couple more things to ask, lol. The pork cutlet in the pork tenderloin sandwich could use a little more seasoning. The chucks in the Chicken Fried Steak can do without some of the hard tendons.
