Great burger! Just as good, if not better than shake shack in my opinion. Very convenient being close to the gate, and the staff is very curteous.

Great pit stop if you’re in the Lakewood area. Got the avo cheese burger with bacon and French fries. I was in a hurry so I called in for a pick up and was well on my way with a burger in my hand and steering wheel in the other. Will definitely come back again for maybe a sushi roll next time!

Great burgers. I’m surprised that more people don’t know about this place. I’ve tried their Grilled Onion Burger and Spicy Chicken Burger. Both were good each time. They use fresh veggies and you can taste that.
Co-​workers have tried others and they all liked it. If you are craving a burger, give this place a try.

Our first time here. The reviews were not wrong, this little place is very good! I had the pork bulgogi, salad &.rice, It was delish! My guy had a hamburger and it was also good. The owners were also very nice. I will be back! Yummy

I come here at least a couple of times a month for their chicken burger and spicy chicken burger. The burger and the fries they come with are huge portions and will surely fill you up! The ingredients are fresh, the chicken is lean and juicy and the owners are very kind and attentive.

Delicious! I had the avocado burger with fries. The burger was a lot bigger than I was expecting. Everything on the burger was great and flavorful from the buns to the patty. I was pleasantly surprised that there was such a great little burger joint so close. I haven’t tried the sushi, but I will definitely be coming back. A new favorite burger for sure.

The «hot flame» roll is amazing! The avocado burger with pepper jack cheese is on point. Cute little tucked away gem in Lakewood right off post and COMPLETELY worth coming to again and again. Sushi and great burgers in one place? Yes please!

Went with my whole family and we all loved our food. I got a cheeseburger and it was only $ 6. It was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Sooo yummy and hit the spot. Juicy and lots of toppings. The waffle fries are seasoned perfectly and are addicting. Husband got a bulgogi burger ($ 7.25) and he said it was just like the bulgogi in Korea. He loved it. We plan on going back a lot. Super friendly, the only thing that was difficult is there is a really bad language barrier. It was really hard for me to understand the guy when he asked some questions about the orders. But that’s not a big deal haha now I’m craving a burger from them (:

I ate here for the first time today. I ordered the hawaiin burger. It was the best burger I have ever had!!! I kid you not! The patty was seasoned nicely and juicy. The veggies were fresh. The bun was the best slightly crispy. You can tell it was made with love! The place was very clean. The man who helped us was very kind. I am upset at myself that it took me this long to find it. I live in oly. But i will make that drive np.

great mom and pop joint. I ordered the avocado burger and added bacon. it was absolutely delicious. the party was flavorful, the bun was toasted go perfection, crisp green leaf lettuce, buttery avocado, crisp bacon and tomato. it tasted like a quality burger and the service was great. the facility is clean too.
I prefer to support small local businesses. you may have five guys down the street, head the other way on Bridgeport Way by the McChord gate.
if you’re not into burgers, try their Bulgogi. my husband tried the spicy pork Bulgogi and that too was delicious. the salad was yummy too! Hope you decide check the place it. I think you will enjoy it.

You wouldn’t think a burger/​sushi establishment would be good… But I have to admit the burgers are Top Notch! Bakery style bun with fresh vegetables and excellent tasting meat. Don’t let the exterior fool you, it is well kept and clean on the interior. If you are looking for a reasonably priced delicious burger this place is it. On this visit I did not have the sushi, but I will be sure to return and try it.

They have great burgers and great deals. The burger its self is made like a gourmet burger with all the finishing. Taste wise they are good-​great. Nothing you make on a grill at home. Could be seasoned more. But because it’s made with all the trimmings & every burger comes with fries it well worth the money!!! Very decently priced!!! The bread they use is soft and thick so it doesn’t fall apart while your trying to eat so that another added bonus!

This place is amazing! Sushi and Burgers?!? Love them both but I tend to avoid places that have multiple types of food. We tried this place based on the good reviews and we weren’t disappointed. 2 burgers (with add on extras), waffle fries, onion rings, a sushi roll and drinks all for $ 30! And it all tasted fabulous. Burgers were juicy and flavorful. Sushi was fresh tasting and the roll was large. Will definitely come here again.

It really was luxuries food the burgers gourmet also the sushi was upscale sushi priced right it’s affordable food if you don’t wanna drive further out of the base

Great little place! So unexpected! The two best parts of this place are the sweet couple who run it, and the cute interior. They’ve done a great job making the place look nice. Nothing fancy, but clean and tasteful.
I ordered the Lakewood roll. It had smoked salmon, cream cheese, capers, and veggies. It was really salty, and didn’t come with ginger or wasabi. It was okay, but nothing amazing. It was quite large, and not rolled tightly enough (… almost a that’s what she said joke???).
My boyfriend ordered the onion burger and fries. The fries weren’t very crunchy. The bun on the burger was really soft and flavorful, though. The burger was fine. Not the best ever, but good. Definitely a pre-​frozen, pre-​formed patty. Not there’s anything wrong with that…
I’d like to try the waffle fries next time. The food wasn’t the best, but they had great prices and friendly service.

Our first time here. Place was very clean and well-​kept! Service was friendly and fast. And the food was delicious. We had the cheese burger and it was huge, more than enough food with fries and a drink. The price was very reasonable for everything we got as well. Highly recommend.

I got the Bulgogi burger and my girlfriend had the Texas burger. My burger was very tasty, had fresh veggies, and a perfectly toasted bun, even the fries were good! My girlfriends burger was very good, it came with jalapeños with just the right amount of spice and kick!
Would definitely come back!

This is an interesting place right outside of the gate to Lewis-​McChord base, they serve Burgers, Sushi, and Bulgogi dishes. Within the restaurant, the first thing I saw is some Korean banners, then immediately I know sushi is best avoided, since Korean + Sushi = Bad News… The dining area is about the size of an average living room with tables back-​to-​back.
I stayed with the burger side of the menu just to be safe, and ended up with an interesting item called «Bulgogi Burger». After waiting as the last person to get their food, it finally arrived, and was definitely worth the wait. The meat tasted very juicy from inside out with flavor mixed very well with veggies and buns. The dish was a very successful American-​Korean fusion. The fries were decent too.
Service is a big problem with this place as they are very understaffed, there was one person working on the floor who tries to take order and serve food at the same time, and he did not have time fix the emptied soda fountain, but he was nice enough to offer me a complimentary can soda in place.
Despite the minor setbacks, Burkie is definitely a place worth revisiting whenever I return to the Lakewood area.
