Excellent experience at D’Floret. The place is very cozy and nicely decorated and felt relatively clean. The menu is small and I think is ideal for a chef(not a cook) to concentrate in quality ingredients and also allowed for the preparation to be perfect. We ordered four different appetizers and all where great. We also ordered four different entrees and as expect the attention to detail and quality was spot on. The only down side is it is very pricey and prevents you fro. making a weekly occurrence but I guess you get what you pay for and will have to settle for going twice a year. Great job.

I can’t recommend this restaurant. We had a horrible experience here this Christmas Eve. For an appetizer we ordered two butternut squash soups. My husband got his but mine never came. I was then told that they ran out of soup and would have to make mine from scratch(why they told me this after serving my husband his soup is beyond me…). When it came it was extremely watery and tasted very very bad– like burnt onion. They kindly agreed to take it off the bill. But when our salmon entrée came, things got worse. The salmon was supposed to be medium rare, however when it came it was terribly overcooked to the point that it was completely inedible. The dishes the rest of our family got were just ok. Given the price tag, I am shocked at the quality of the food here. There are much better restaurants in the area. Trust me. Make a reservation somewhere else.

Really!!! We visit New Hope & Lambertville a few times a year, and usually go to Hamilton Grill, which is great… This time we decided to try D’Floret. We are real foodies and are in the business, so I made reservations 2 weeks before on Open Table for 8:30PM. I received my OT confirmation email the day before. On the day of the reservation at about 3:00PM, I received a confirmation again for our party. While resting up for our night, I receive a phone call at 5:45PM, saying there is a mistake with the reservation, that the restaurant stops seating at 7:00PM… I use OT at my restaurant, and know how the screen works, etc., how could this possibly happen, while getting a confirmation(real person) call 2 hours before. Now at 6:00 we have to try to find a restaurant to go to. This is inexcusable!!! The people at Hamilton Grill were able to squeeze us in, and we had a Great dinner.

Easily the best food I’ve ever eaten. Had a tasting menu of Cream of Mushroom soup, Scallop with cauliflower purée, salmon with mint pee purée, gnocchi, and finally rack of lamb, and it was all absolutely amazing. Don’t even like scallops or mushrooms, but I’m a fan of them when Chef Dennis Foy makes them. Not only is he incredibly friendly(and talented), his food is ridiculously good. Go here. Seriously, go here now.

Terrific. The food was perfect. This is the best tasting menu I’ve had. Better than anything in Philadelphia for sure.

The food was AMAZING. It was the best dining experience and definitely the best tasting menu I have had on the East Coast. The truffle mushroom soup was straight on point. Loved the scallop, lamb and salmon as well. Better than anything I’ve had in Philly or NYC. You can’t miss this great restaurant. Also, Dennis Foy was an incredible chef!!! Both in terms of his cooking and his being. Dennis, please open a restaurant in Philly too!!!

I had an amazing experience eating at this establishment. The food is done very well and every bite is flavorful! The service is top notch as well. I had the chance to meet the couple that run this restaurant. They mentioned how important it is to support the community, as well as, use fresh ingredients from the local area. The Chef, Dennis Foy, is classically trained. He also happens to be a Vietnam War veteran with an interesting background. All-in-all, I had a wonderful experience eating at D’Floret. This town is lucky to have such a 5 star eating establishment! And they treat everyone like family. I highly encouraging everyone to eat at this place!

Literally the WORST experience I’ve ever had a restaurant. We went for my boyfriends birthday and had an 8pm rez. Got there literally at 8 and the very rude hostess directed us to wait outside for our table to be ready. Well we waited. and waited… and waited… and after the hostess passed us back and forth about 40 times I finally asked what was going on with our table… 30 minutes later. I dont mind waiting if there really is a back up, but when I see empty tables and I’m being ignored it is really frustrating. It is BYOB so we sit down and no one comes to open our wine or pour water. I ask the bus person to open our wine and she looks annoyed. She takes the bottle and doesnt return with it for about 15 minutes. Still no water. We order food and I am told that I am not allowed to swap fingerling potatoes for the mashed potatoes that my steak comes with. Dont really understand that because I told her I was more than happy to pay the upcharge if necessary-still wouldnt swap them. Still no water. We waited about 30 minutes for our soups and after our apps we waited about another 45 min for our entrees. THIS is the kicker-there is only ONE person in the kitchen doing EVERYTHING for the whole restaurant, hence the wait times. OH and how do I know this? Because it is an open kitchen. So on top of the terrible service, rude employees and our meals taking forever… we have to listen to the chef scream and curse at the bus people/hostess/and server. Literally cursing the entire meal for the whole dinning room to hear. REAL professional. I was so upset. It was a terrible birthday dinner and I felt so horrible for my sweet boyfriend. As we were paying the check the server asks if they had ruined the birthday meal… ugh yea, i would say that you most definitely did. I will never eat here again and i tell everyone i know how horrible the evening was.

My husband and I enjoyed a delicious meal during our anniversary visit to New Hope/Lambertville area. My favorite was the truffle infused mushroom soup that I had as a starter while my husband loved the foie gras. The scallops and lamb main courses were also very good. Chef, hostess and server were all incredibly friendly. Also restaurant is BYO so don’t forget a bottle of wine!

Very cozy and delicious restaurant! Great for small small groups or date night! My husband and I were having a weekend getaway from NYC in New Hope and found this restaurant in a Unilocal search of the area. It was cold out, so seating was only available inside. The inside is very cozy, cute, and small. So be sure you make a reservation or else you will not get a seat. Seriously. Do not expect to be able to walk in from the street and get a table. The restaurant is BYOB, which my husband and I didn’t know. So know that going in, bring some beer and/or wine. Whatever your preference. I had the truffle infused mushroom soup, which I swear to you, was the best soup I have ever had in my entire life. It was amazing. The taste profile was perfect. All the flavors of the soup complimented each other and not one overpowered another. Truly amazing. I could have had 15 bowls of it. Get that when you go. I also had the mushroom truffle gnocchi. This was good, but did not blow me away like the soup. Still very tasty. I got the appetizer portion as my entrée and that was plenty for me. The gnocchi was clearly homemade and made very well. The sauce had this very slight tang to me which is why I wasn’t blown away. My husband ordered the veal ragu linguine. He enjoyed his but there was too much meat in the sauce he felt. The proportions were a bit off. The flavor was quite good though. We also got the Tahitian vanilla crème brûlée. It was delicious. Taste was perfect. This restaurant is a bit pricier but well worth it. I wasn’t really expecting this quality of restaurant in this small town. Highly recommend this place!

A great spot for a cozy restaurant for a date night. The food was incredible! I had the beef short ribs with the foie gras and my husband had the lamb rack and it was worth every penny. Would highly recommend this BYO.

Definitely a must go if in New Hope/Lambertville. Cozy restaurant with outstanding food. The Gnocchi is a must. The mushroom crêpe was outstanding as well. Entrees — the lamb special was perfectly cooked and juicy. The Veal bolognese was amazing especially since the fettuccine is handmade. Chef/owner and his wife are very personable and chatted with us throughout the meal since it was a Sunday and not too busy. Love an owner/operator that will engage their customers when they get the chance. Will definitely be back!

Impressive. To have a meal cooked by the actual chef/owner is rare these days… and he does it by himself, every night. That is a true chef. It takes guts to attempt and skill to pull off, especially as well as he does. He spends his time banging out perfectly cooked & plated food instead of wandering about the restaurant looking for recognition, while«the help» prepares your food. If you want a refreshingly great meal in a town overrun by mediocre overpriced tourist spots, make a reservation and go here. Well done!

One of the best meals my husband and I have ever had, hands down. We are admitted food snobs and rarely have had a meal where we were blown away by the appetizers, entrees, AND dessert in one single dining experience. Service — Superb. Attentive, friendly, polite, pleasant, and helpful. Ambiance — We were seated inside. Space is cozy, intimate, modern, and minimalist. Within the restaurant, you can see the chef doing his magic behind a mid-level wall that separates the dining area from the kitchen. Food(the best part!) — For appetizers, I ordered the heirloom tomato salad with goat cheese dressing(one of the specials). My salad was the perfect summer appetizer: crisp, refreshing, savory, and delicious. The goat cheese dressing was subtle and light, and the fresh tomatoes were drizzled with olive oil, seasoning, and very minute bits of red onions. My husband had the mushroom truffle gnocchi, which was wonderfully savory with a delicious light cream sauce. Entrees were the seared salmon and the sauteed hake. Again, excellent flavors, not overdone or underdone, seasoned perfectly. My salmon was medium rare and the crust of the salmon was delicious and balanced the rest of the salmon. For dessert, we shared the strawberry shortcake(waitress’ recommendation). Sweet, light, and delightful. We loved it. Overall, one of the best dining experiences we ever had. Will definitely go again. FYI — This place accepts cash or check only, not credit cards.

Great, warm, and inviting atmosphere which was exceptional from the moment we walked in the door. Seeing the owner/chef in the kitchen, his hostess and wife who Both were friendly and inviting, we new we chose the right place. Each and every course was better than the previous. We will certainly be back. Please do your self a favor and order the gnocchi while praying the warm goat cheese tort is on the menu. And dessert, you must order, you can’t go wrong. Dessert is a must. We had the strawberry shortcake special. amazing, and the chocolate Royale. to die for!

My friend and I dined here for the first time last Saturday night. We sat out on the delightful patio. Our appetizers were fantastic, especially the crab. The entrees were also outstanding, especially the halibut special. We will definitely return!

We sat outside last weekend and service was not great. We brought an $ 80 bottle of wine that unfortunately one of the waitstaff spilled. Of course, accidents happen. But no one said anything to us about it and no one tried to make up for it, which I found very disappointing. Especially because we usually don’t splurge like that on bottles of wine. I think my husband wanted to cry! Food was decent, but for the price and the experience, not worth it.

My husband and I were staying at an alpaca farm bed and breakfast nearby and came here for my birthday weekend! The mushroom soup I had here was the most amazing thing I’ve ever eaten. The portion was really big but I HAD to finish it and lick the bowl after. I got the juiciest, smokiest and most flavorful steak as an entrée. NOMNOM I am drooling as I’m writing this review. Lovely little place — I highly recommend it.

It seems that lately all my best meals are had outside of New York and this is one of them. We strolled in bottle of wine in hand the Friday after Thanksgiving for dinner based purely on reviews we had read online. We were not disappointed! Everything we had was prepared to perfection from the glorious mushroom soup to the must-try gnocchi and the delicious scallops and lamb chops. It was a quiet night and the patrons had no hesitation sharing their exultations of the food with each other. It’s such a treat to be in a truly owner-run establishment. The care and passion of the husband and wife team really comes through.

Came for dinner on a Friday. The alfresco seating on the patio was comfortable. Ordered the fish taco appetizers and our friends the crabmeat tian and the gnocchi. The tacos were a bit messy but were very tasty. The gnocchi were outstanding. The crabmeat was not a hit as it was a bit mushy in consistency. Ordered the sous vide filet which was great, came at medium rare as ordered. The wife got the hake but did nit like it. Our friends ordered the chicken for two and thought it was great. Overall it was a good experience and I would return.
