I love love love this place. Cozy chairs and booths with silver serving trays and a roaring fire nearby? Perfect cozy and intimate spot for a fun date, for friends, or literally any cold night and and glass of wine. I’ve ordered wine by the class as well as flights, both are healthy pourings. Order a cheese plate(il truffilino = the best) to really up the experience. It’s usually crowded and if you don’t mind a wait, you can usually get a good spot. I’ve never ordered dinner here but I see some people do– it’s a bit crowded with all the glasses and no real table– that would bother me. Maybe fractions of points off for the service– we’ve been here 3 – 4 times and always have the same server. He’s always in a rush and seems overwhelmed.

I’ve been here multiple times over the past few years. It often gets crowded with the commensurate wait for a table. They have a ‘downstairs’ bar which is cozy in the winter for a nice glass of wine or stronger spirit. In the better weather they have outdoor seating which is perfect for a weekend meal. Along one side there are tables along a bank of windows allowing a view of the outside ‘garden’ and canal. As an old train station it has kept a lot of its old charm. The service is usually good, even when things get crazy busy — but when it is that busy you have to understand the waitstaff doesn’t have hours to spend chatting with you. All in all they do a credible job. My last visit there was on a sunny Sunday midday, a bit too cold to sit out though. We had the french onion soup(good not great), the huevos rancheros(excellent) and the elk burger special — good but nothing special, tasting like a real beef burger, and not the little bit gamey that I usually expect of elk. The house made chips were good though. The gazpacho was not the best I’ve ever had, but it did the job and was lots better than most. It was the first day they were offering it.

My wife and I came here during lunch which wasn’t busy at all. I ordered the fish and chips and my wife ordered the rustic flatbread with French onion soup. The fish and chips were decent but had to switch my meals with my wife since she really didn’t like her meal. It was okay for me but it was a bit too sweet for me. Our server was very nice and attentive and came around often to check on us.

I was very underwhelmed by the wine cellar this weekend. It was our first time here, although we’ve walked by it a hundred times in the past. We were in that weird«too late for lunch but too early for dinner» limbo so we stopped in for drinks and apps at the bar. Our drink order was taken fairly quickly and we asked for menus. Although there were 3 bartenders working(I thought one was a bar back, but he has also taking drink orders, which was weird), it took 20 minutes for someone to take our food order. The bar wasn’t very busy, but the customers on either side of us were also getting frustrated with their orders not being taken. We finally got one of their attention and asked for two cups of the lobster and crab bisque, and a hummus plate. The soups came out pretty quickly, but were really lacking flavor and had a layer of oil sitting on top, plus mine had a large shell floating in it. We had to ask for a new spoon because mine had food crusted to the back of it. Not sure how that went unnoticed, since it was a pretty big chunk. Our hummus came out over a half an hour after we ordered it. That tasted okay, but a half hour? I’m assuming it was sitting back there for awhile and they just forgot about it. The bartenders were nice, just very disorganized and flustered. Overall, I don’t know if I would come back with all the good restaurants Lambertville and New Hope have to offer. Maybe just for drinks.

The Station House which is on the Jersey side of the Delaware River is my favorite place to come on a weekend especially on a Sunday. This place was a real train station dating back to 1867 including the railroad tracks next to the outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is open from(March– November) There is seating all around the bar, and also inside… They have a great bar outside and John the bartender makes great drinks like Bloody Mary’s and Mojito’s. They have IPA’s and craft beers too. I prefer to sit at the bar and grab a bite to eat… The people who come here are friendly and sociable. The dress code is somewhat casual but neat… The Station House is very dog friendly… U can see all different kinds of dogs dining with their owners… The food is delicious and the presentation is lovely… I love their burgers and salads. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. There is a large building in the back with plenty of parking if u want to have a wedding, party, or corporate event… U can take a short walk over the bridge and be in New Hope. In the summer u can see people hanging out in the river tubbing and having fun… This really is a great place and every time I come I meet new people… When you come be prepared to wait for a table. This is a very popular restaurant. I can’t wait for my next visit!

If I could give this place less than one star believe me I would! Local to the area I stay away from the tourist traps and should have known better. The prices… simply outrageous for the sub par quality. Mix that with some is the worst service I’ve ever experienced and a staff that was… hmm what’s the word I am looking for… RUDE! I’ll warn you guys now, keep walking. So many better places around for you to spend your money. Oh yeah, one more thing. To the idiot bartender hipster douche, when someone is standing patiently at the bar you DONOT make eye contact and bark«WHAT»!! You sir are an idiot! .

I have been there about 5 times… always thinking maybe it will be better. The reason I give it a 2 star is that I never have a memorable experience, Nothing stands out. Everyone is nice and the food is ok but nothing stands out to say I like going here because of??? I do agree with the one guy Eric Y. The bartender is a bit rude. I don’t agree to give a 1 star but it does need some improvements with the menu, it’s a bit bland.

I must admit, I was suprised that the place lived above it’s expectations. We were seated in the last table outside near a pathway. I felt we would be forgotten and it would get cold. I was right about the cold but service was good. They do have heating lamps but there were all being used… despite their being a long wait if we decided to dine inside, we were seated promptly. It has an old school feel inside with a wine cellar. Starters: Rustic Flatbread — Smoky bacon, arugula, caramelized onion, dried cranberries and smoked mozzarella baked onto a crispy grilled flatbread crust– $ 10 — I would pass on this next time… it just didn’t hit the spot. Calamari — Flash-fried and served with marinara and an Asian sauce for dipping– $ 12 — A good choice and you must sample the Asian sauce. It adds a unique taste. They weren’t the best but everyone enjoyed them. Entrée’s: Pork Mignon — Prime Reserve center-cut pork loin, topped with apple barbecue and served with cheddar-chive grits– $ 23 — Cooked and seasoned perfectly. I did sample the: Crab Cakes — Chesapeake-style colossal lump crab cakes baked with Meyer lemon butter and served with rice and seasonal vegetables– $ 32. They were great! Definitely on my radar to order next time. 90% crab which is unheard of. Chicken Bruschetta — Romano cheese and herb-crusted chicken breast served atop baby spinach and fresh heirloom tomato salad with a balsamic reduction– $ 19. It was good but nothing earth shattering. Service was good. Prices are a little high. A draft beer is $ 7…sheesh. The Inn has the same menu FYI. ENJOY!

Since the first time I stepped foot into this place it has been a favorite. The wine cellar is a total gem in town. There is really nothing like it that I have seen in terms of seating, lighting and just overall ambiance. All of the seating is set up so that no matter where you are you feel like you’re in your own romantic spot — you could be by the fireplace or just cozied up on a couch in the corner. They keep a great selection of wines, of which I have tried many and not been disappointed(though wine never does seem to disappoint me). The staff is well versed in what they carry, eager to recommend something for you and even bring you a little taste before committing to one. You can also carry out from here. So it’s really a great spot to come and have a glass of wine and appetizer before buying a bottle to bring to dinner somewhere else in town. The food served in the wine cellar is tapas style. Some great flatbreads and cheese selections. On Tuesdays they have sushi with Ike. Ike comes in from his restaurant in Somerville and sets up a little sushi bar in the pub area. It’s a treat to come here and enjoy your favorite bottle of wine and some amazingly inventive rolls and appetizers. We had the sushi«pizza» and a few rolls, all delicious. I could go on and on about all of the great experiences I’ve had here but you really should just go check it out yourself!

Rude staff. Manager woman thinks she knows it all but has absolutely no clue. Sunday brunch is horrible and over priced. We will never go to this dark place almost like horror movies.

This review is for the wine cellar. What a wonderful, cozy place underneath the old station. The wine list gives you lots of choices for wines by the glass. Service is a little ‘relaxed’ so I wouldn’t come if I were in a hurry, but this is a great local spot to relax and enjoy.

Went to the pub after our daughters wedding. We were told if we got there by midnight they would stay open until 2. After arriving by about 12:45, they said last last call was 12:30. There were at least 25 people with us buying drinks and leaving tips. After asking them to stay open they told us they were not an after hours bar and we were a liability. The manager and one of the bar tenders were extremely rude. It was an unfortunate ending to a beautiful day.

I am a current college Culinary Student, I have cooked around Princeton for 3 Years and I am a bartender in Princeton now, I have been bartending for 13 years off and on as well. I am not an expert but I do expect a certain level of service and quality of food. I assure you this place is pretty streamlinded and could use some improvements. Service didn’t suck but the large outside bartender looked very disheveled and was a smart ass. My waiter was nice enough but didn’t try to sell this menu to me and really couldnt desribe the Gazpacho well. I had the fish and chips and the breading was soggy and my fries were mushy. The Ahi tuna salad looked great. It was busy but. I would only go back if I was paying. Maybe I went at a bad time Sunday at 12 pm, but I expect a little more especially paying 5 bucks for a coors like a 7.50 for a Yards pay Pale. Save you money and find someplace better.

Very cool setting in the downstairs area of the Lambertville Train station. Came for dessert and had the crème brûlée and chocolate torte. The ladies had some wine and the guys had bourbon flights which were generous for the price. Definitely stop in if in the area.

Came here for drinks on an early fall afternoon and sat outside by the canal. Very relaxing watching the water go by. Irish coffee is just the thing!

I didn’t eat here but I did enjoy a couple of beers on the Canal Side Patio. The beer list is actually pretty good in that there were sufficient craft beers from local breweries on tap in order to satisfy. I was hanging out with a friend from LA who loves a local beer and this was a good place to get a flavor of what we have available here. The waiter was quite good. He was excited to share his beer knowledge and we had a lively conversation about local brews and breweries in the region. He was also very attentive. When I am back in town, I will definitely stop by again!

The Wine Cellar at the Lambertville station is always a great place for light food, great service and a nice wine selection. We always have fun when we go there and it has a totally different feel than the rest if the restaurant. The upstairs has a nice outdoor patio serving decent food, but the service is always lacking to say the least. I usually find the wait staff is unattentive bordering on rude… Like they are doing you a favor. Such a shame because it could be a great place to enjoy a friendly outdoor meal.

An update for the Wine Cellar … Enjoyed drinks before dinner at Hamilton’s Grill Room and were not disappointed. The service in the Wine Cellar was exceptional, as always. A great place to start or finish your evening in Lambertville. It is interesting to realize that your are sitting below the level of the canal that runs along the outside of the building.

Local friends of ours recommended Lambertville Station and it didn’t disappoint. We didn’t need reservations; we were seated at a cozy table looking out the window with a dim light over our table to set the mood for an overall homey country like restaurant. Steven was our waiter and had some great suggestions and input on the menu items. We went with a flatbread which was excellent and beats salad. My wife and I shared both and were impressed with the combination of flavors these dishes packed. For entrees I had the Elk cooked to Medium Rare and my wife had the short ribs. Both exceeded my expectations and I couldn’t let anything go back to the kitchen so we polished everything off. After our dinner and as we were finishing up our wine, Steven told us a seat opened up downstairs next to the fireplace and thought that maybe we’d want to have a night cap down there. He read his customers brilliantly because it was exactly what we needed, even if we didn’t know the option existed. We then had Alan finish us up with an after dinner drink and dessert and just chatted fire side. All in all the restaurant was great, prices were fair given the quality of food and atmosphere, and we’d certainly return if we are ever in the area again.
