Our first visit to Nektar was a positive one. Our bartenders both days were very friendly. Our second visit the next day was not. The beer selection was good and the wine selection was fair on both visits. The food presentation was good but the cheese was served at the wrong temperature and the chorizo melt we had on our second visit was more like a grilled cheese sandwich on white bread than what was described. On our second visit we returned based on the menu posted on the website. We thought we missed seeing these items so we returned. Our server informed us that those items were from the summer menu. It is now February. When we placed our food order, the server returned to tell us that they were out of many items at 9:00p on a Friday night. As of today, their website menu has not been updated. The atmosphere of Nektar is fun and modern. The location is perfect in the heart of New Hope. My hope is that they’re going through the growing phase of a newer business and they pay better attention to detail in the future. If you are basing your visit on their website menu I’d recommend calling ahead to make sure it’s up to date.

We went there in a group of four and we’re blown away! The wine list was adventurous and so we’re the food options. Got us all out of our comfort zones and was top quality. Our server Chastity was wonderful, polite, and perfectly attentive. We sat in the back room with all the windows and felt like we were in a snow globe. The prices are expensive and we ordered a good deal of food but we’re surprised that when our total came it was much less than expected. The money is well worth it. Must try!!!

I really love the ambience of this place. Really beautiful interior design and art. The furniture is beautiful, the bar is beautiful, the scene of the river out the large windows is beautiful. They have a really great drink menu, tons of bourbon and a decent selection of wine and beer. We had a few appetizers that were really wonderful. The portobello fries were battered and deep fried and served with a sauce. We also had bacon wrapped dates – a favorite. Minus one star because I was not super blown away with the menu. Other than the appetizers that we ordered, there wasn’t much else that I was really needing to try. I would definitely go back for another drink, but probably not for food.

Great place. Seated immediately. Very nice servers. Hubby gave it,.100%. Don’t come to fill up(although you may — the plates are small, not miniscule). Come to enjoy many different plates you may not ever try and enjoy a drink of two. We had the Korean fried chicken wings, potato parfait, jamón serrano, chèvre(goat) cheese. The waitress forgot the spinach pie we ordered, not toworry, we’ll be back. Two of the plates with cheese came with a dollop of quince perserves that added a nice touch of sweetness and toast points with fresh greens. I wish they sold the preserve. We had a couple of bottled beers, we had never heard of and enjoyed both. Highly recommended as a date spot on your way to somewhere else.

I was excited to find out that this place existed while doing a Unilocal search for restaurants. I was looking for a cool place to take someone for a nice evening. I was extremely happy that I looked at Nektar and decided to go! First off, the atmosphere is amazing. The design of the restaurant is very chic and I love the big windows that open up to the outside. The service was excellent and the employees are very friendly. I had the Tuna Tartare, which was very fresh and yummy. My friend had the Potato Parfait, which I tried. That was also very yummy. Nektar is a great place to go to have a couple glasses of wine and a few small plates. It’s a nice evening date spot, and perfect for a nice night out. I look forward to going back and trying more! So glad that I found this place!

I don’t remember the last time I gave a 5 star review but this one was a no brainer. This location used to be a small place called Wildflowers, which was nice but this place is great. The atmosphere is was great, low lighting, lots windows for great views of the canal and the Play House, and filled but not crowded. Our server was very friendly, she seemed to be knowledgeable about the Whiskey menu(There must be 50 or more to choose from) and our whole meal was timely. The meal. Bacon wrapped dates with an almond in the middle nestled in a roasted red pepper purée, what a rich flavor explosion with just the right amount of freshness from the purée to set it off. Salty and slightly crisp on the outside and sweet and delicious on the inside. That’s not enough but there are no more words. Then, the potato parfait. Think of the most perfect baked potato ever, chopped into tiny cubes and perfectly seasoned and then covered with, is that sour cream that is creamy and tangy and wonderful? No, its whipped Goat cheese, and I am so far from disappointed. Tuna Tartar, «Excuse me, I think there is something wrong with this. It’s not filled with avocado, or mango, or any thing other than tuna. It’s like, I ordered tuna tartar, and I got a whole bunch of tuna tartar?» Pheasant Pâté was, well, pâté is already like mmmm, meat butter, but this meat butter had pistachios in it and even the crostini were awesome. But wait, Its a whiskey bar! And I had some of that. We started with a flight and that night(Saturday, 11⁄28?) they were having a tasting of Japanese whiskies. Japanese whisky? I didn’t even know they did that. Anyway two out of three were more than good and one was so surprisingly good, I had to have another. I think that’s enough words. Good place, nice atmosphere, good service, great food and drink. Go there. You’re welcome.

Very nice atmosphere on the main street with open windows overlooking the stream and beautiful weeping willow. Location, location, location! Tapas plates are good. Especially enjoyed the cheese plate. Did the red wine flights which I can’t say I really enjoyed them. When the waitress asked I said that the wines were not for my palate but I enjoyed visit. She proceeded to educate me that the owner is an avid wine fan who puts together exceptional quality wines on his menu and is associated with wine spectator. Okay… I still hope to return again and try their next group of wines.

Fantastic meal here. Came here with my parents and we all loved it. Just to give you some insight… my mom is very selective and is rarely impressed with restaurants. We ordered a bunch of different tapas(a good portion of the tapas menu) and we loved everything. Good beer selection. Very friendly service. The atmosphere is amazing. Sit outside if you can… it’s BEAUTIFUL, especially in warmer weather. You are by the water and surrounded by green.

The food was delicious. We ordered tomato salad, smoked salmon salad, mussels, 2 orders of Korean chicken wings, and selection of meets and cheese(smoked duck, chorizo and cheddar) and the food was divine! The portions are not huge, they are are called small plates, but it was enough food for the 3 of us for sure. For desert we had a warm apple dessert and tiramisu. They were both excellent. But our favorite part of the whole experience was our server Matthew. One of the best servers EVER! Our party will definitely will be back and we’ll bring friends too!

My BF drove me all the way here. It’s a cute small town that has all kinds of cute crafts. I love the feeling of escaping from the big capital and unexpectedly ending up a world of small wonders. This wine bar is definitely cute to sit in. On the second floor the sun shines in. Having a glass of wine in a place like this totally makes my day. It’s great to be loved and love him in return.

A relatively new tapas place on the corner of Main and Mechanic,. 5 stars for the architectural design and menu, but 4 stars for the execution(at least on a Thursday night). The dishes are well designed, but for us came out tepid/warm(instead of hot) and a bit over cooked. The wine and drinks menu is a bit smallish, given that the place advertises itself as a Wine Bar. * Truffle Hamburger(gruyère cheese, portobello, truffle mayo, garlic, shoestring onion) $ 8 — was great. Waitress helpfully provided us a knife so we could cut it in two. * Scallops in thai curry, coconut lime broth $ 13. Needed bread or crustini, which waitress supplied cheerfully on request. Nice thai item, but not at right temperature. * Baked pasta(beef bolognese, bechamel greek lasagna $ 9. Wasn’t a fan; a bit bland. * Short Rib w/yukon mashed $ 12. OK, but a bit unremarkable. * Tuna Tartare, ginger, cilantro, jalapeño, wasabi, tomato, scallion $ 13. OK, but a bit bland despite the description. * Portobello Fries and dipping sauce $ 7. Really liked these — strong distinct taste; nice sauce pairing. Open air upstairs has great street views overlooking Bucks County Playhouse across the street. Some tables for 2 and a couple long communal tables makes a good vibe for diners. Attractive bar in front onto Mechanic Street. Kudos for a late night menu from 10PM-midnight, when many of the New Hope kitchens are closed. A smart date-worthy addition to the New Hope/Lambertville restaurant scene. This is an independent review. I have no relationship to this store, nor to the best of my knowledge, know anyone who works there.

My first time in New Hope and we decided to try out one of the newest places. Nektar’s open air design and the tapas style menu made it the perfect option for the 75 degree weather this past Saturday. Some of the dishes left a little bit to be desired. We started with the Chorizo Panino, I have to say I wasn’t expecting it on toast and for $ 7.50 I thought the Chorizo would be a little more flavorful, it was(to me, an Argentine) a little more pepperoni-ish, and the manchego cheese didn’t stand out either. We received the Charcuterie next, the thing that put me off about this dish was the mislabeling on the menu. Its not 3 cheese AND3 Meats, its 3 total, so 2 meats and a cheese. We ended up going with the 5 meat OR cheese dish. Overall, that was fantastic, though it needed a drizzle of oil or an accompaniment of something wet or sweet to add another layer of flavor and take away from the savoriness of all the cheese and meat. Our last item was the Mussels in broth, which were good as well and a nice size portion, but I was sad when I noticed they were delivered on a plate and not in a bowl. Why did you take away that brothy goodness? That’s the best part! I would’ve ordered more crostinis if there was more to sop up. The wine, beer and spirits selection is good, though I like to see more mixed cocktails other then an Old Fashioned, Manhattan and Vodka Infusion. The bartender couldn’t make a Sidecar for my girlfriend. Also, I was expecting to see Whiskey flights and the staff to be educated in such. I would probably come back with a group, the balcony has communal table ideal for that and would probably stick to beers.

Great new place in new hope to grab a drink and a small bite to eat. The open floor plan and floor to ceiling views of the town and canal are unmatched by any other place in town. It is truly a beautiful space with a slightly more upscale feel. We only came for drinks as we had already eaten dinner. I felt though that the drink menu was lacking. It was really a limited selection of both wines and whiskey which we both thought was strange. No flights to sample. No interesting wine or whiskey cocktail. There’s a lot you can do with wine and whiskey now to appeal to a larger demographic but they aren’t trying any of that yet. I can certainly get a better glass of wine across the bridge at the wine cellar but it doesn’t come with the views that nektar has. Will definitely be back to try the food and am hopeful that they will up their game a little in terms of selection over time.

This place will definitely become a staple in this town. It was built beautifully, with a simple design, great bar downstairs and awesome views of the town/river upstairs. It’s a tapas place but everything I’ve tried so far is great, great cheeses, the burger is tasty, sliders are delicious and everything else in between. I love the wine selection also from the reds to the rose. Whiskey selection is a little lacking but go for a cocktail/beer/wine and some tasty snacks and you’re set! I’m hoping this place is around for awhile!

Pretty space, friendly and knowledgeable bartenders, and a decent(but somewhat limited) selection of beer and wine. Nice patio in the back overlooking the canal. They also have wine flights(roses only) as a menu option, which is nice if you want to try different rose wines. I can’t speak for the food as we were here just for drinks.

This place was outstanding! Great menu, delicious food, and a great selection of craft beers. The short rib was incredible — very tender, great sauce, and the fried onions are perfect! The scallops were perfectly cooked and I wanted to drink the sauce. Instead I ended up dipping mashed potatoes in them. I highly suggest you do this. Bacon-wrapped dates were awesome, too. Loved the red pepper sauce. Our waitress was super friendly and I can’t think of a better place to sit and enjoy the meal than the back patio. HIGHLYRECOMMEND!
