Thank you for a perfect Christmas Eve Dinner! This was our first time dining in the main restaurant although we live only about 30 mins away and frequent New Hope often. I will summarize all that is important to me rather than write a lengthy review. Keeping in mind that this was Christmas Eve, 6:30 and a busy evening. –We were greeted promptly and warmly and taken to our table. They accommodated us without skipping a beat when we asked to change our table. –Service was prompt and NOTRUSHED! We were allowed to take our time even before ordering a drink. –Our server was pleasant, patient and accommodating. — My Manhattan was perfect and NOT watered. — The Pulpo(Octopus) was tender and the portion was nice. A bit too much salt for us. Please cut back on the salt. Otherwise it was very, very good. –I had Caesar but my wife had beet salad which was amazing! Again the portion was very nice. –The meal: I chose Flounder Stuffed with Crab. This is a meal that can iffy. I’ve had far too many Stuffed Flounders that were just OK at best. The Stuffed Flounder at the Logan was five stars for sure. The portion, taste, freshness, presentation, and quality, I repeat… quality of the flounder AND crab was perfect. If I were to cook this at home this is the way it would be. Veg was tasty and fresh. My wife had a Branzino, which is a simple dish, filet with skin on. My wife enjoyed it very much. Perfectly served exactly the way she ordered it. We had the gelato sampler for dessert. yumm times three… flavors. Lastly, I read some other reviews and saw some I didn’t understand. Since our experience was during one of the business nights of the year I would guess that those reviews were based on an extreme case. –Service 5+stars –Ambiance 4 stars(they didn’t turn the music on until later) oops –Food 5+ stars Thank you Logan(Nikloas) Please don’t change! (Just less salt on the pulpo :)

This was probably the best food we had during out recent road trip. Could be 4.5 stars. We had lunch on a weekday so there was very few people in town and the restaurant was quite empty. Service was very prompt and attentive. While the lunch prices are not inexpensive we were pleasantly surprised to find that the portions were large. The calamari appetizer was excellent and plentiful(I ordered this as my lunch and could not finish it). Beet salad was quite good but the Saganaki appetizer special(Greek fired cheese, babbaganoush, and pita was excellent. Someone at an adjacent table has ordered the steak salad and it appeared to be equally loaded with copious amounts of meat. I do note that there are several poor ratings/reviews for this place. I am not sure but I suspect some may be confusing Nikolas with an adjacent place also associated with the Logan Inn. I don’t think they are the same but could easily be confused.

I have watches please go down the toilet the food is not good at all I give it two stars because I love the building I love the outside bar that’s about it. They can’t even keep good staff from a few years back. That is when it was a lot better.

Try the Logan Burger if you’re not a seafood guy like me. Decent prices for an area that prides itself on excess.

Sat at the outdoor bar for a drink the other night. Nice setting and atmosphere. Unfortunately, the male bartender was very disinterested in reviewing some of the beer selections with us. The other bartender, a female, was more interested in texting and charging her cellphone over giving her customers a good experience. I did not have any food, so no comment on that. Bottom line, service is unfortunately very poor at the outdoor bar.

My wife and I had a wonderful dining experience at Nikolas restaurant. We had our meal outside, the setting is very pleasant. We enjoyed very much everything we ordered; the saganaki appetizer, the stuffed flounder and the eggplant rollatini were all excellent. Even the bread and olive oil were great. In addition, the service was very courteous and not rushed at all, more like dining in Europe than the US. We had plenty of time to talk and enjoy our meal and wine. Overall a great spot, would highly recommend.

Visited for Sunday brunch. Service was really slow and food was very average. The potatoes were just plain boiled with no flavor. The omelette was missing ingredients. And the mocha was just too milky. The location is pretty good though especially outdoors on a breezy day.

It is a nice brunch spot. I have been here twice now for brunch, once in the winter where we were sat in a gorgeous dining room with a fireplace, and just this last weekend where we sat outside on a gorgeous summer day. The Logan Inn is a beautiful building, and both indoor and outdoor seating is fantastic. The Old Bay Bacon Bloody Mary is something to definitely try, and both the eggs Florentine and eggs w/crab Benedict are very good. Service is ok. Three stars because the service is aloof. We had a reservation for 10, and came at 10 but were told to come back later as they weren’t open yet. The woman at the front had no explanation for the parking and told us to come back for that as well. So we walked around the block a few times, then came back to get the explanation for the parking, walked back to the lot to take care of that, then went back to the restaurant to be seated. Our waitress was nice enough but only came by once to take the order, everything else right down to the check was handled by the bus boy. There wasn’t a server to be seen at the place throughout the meal except for the one bus boy. On a trip to the restroom you could see all of the staff gathered near the entrance to the outdoor deck drinking Dunkin Donuts coffee and having a good time together. It could be so much better if they tightened it up a bit.

Came here with my mom for a birthday dinner. Great food at a reasonable price. We each had an appetizer, salad, entrée(surf and turf) and dessert. Combined with the wine, it was overall a decent priced meal and we had to take dessert to go. The best part was our waitress, Brittany. Very upbeat and pleasant, made us laugh the entire time and even found a birthday candle to pack with our dessert for the hotel room. Great experience!

I’ve never been so dissatisfied leaving a restaurant. I was a part of a group of six and we were seated immediately and serviced pretty quickly. We had the option of eating outside(which we took), inside, or at the bar. The bar menu and the outside menu were different – the bar menu was far more casual, but we were out, so we decided to eat outside. It was a choice I would soon regret. A waitress gave us bread and water before we met our real waiter. He got our drink orders and we didn’t see him for another fifteen or so minutes because we weren’t ready to order. Fine, okay, whatever. He explained the ridiculously limited menu(either a la carte or a four course meal for a fixed price) and took our orders that included salad and appetizers. We then did not see him for about another twenty minutes. No one asked how we were doing. No one asked if anyone wanted a refill on our drinks. We actually had to alert another waitress to give us more water and refill our bread bowl. Finally, our salads come and they’re warm. My Cesar salad was warm! Last time I checked, salad was supposed to be cold. He brought the child’s food(from the kids’ menu that we never got to see!) and then he left. Within the time between getting our salad and our meals, the waiter only came over to see us once and that was to refill alcohol. After another thirty minutes, we finally get our meals and we’re excited. At this point, we’re starving and ready to eat something filling. A member of my group orders a glass of white to accompany his steak while the waiter puts down plates and he says he’ll be right out with it. It should have come within five minutes. We didn’t see the wine for another ten to fifteen minutes and when the we confront the waiter, he blames another waitress for his foul and promises it’ll be out soon. Another few minutes later, the table finally gets the SINGLE glass of wine he ordered. At this point, he’s very close to being finished his meal and it’s useless. I got the vegetable fettuccine. I received it and realized it was 90% mushrooms and 10% fettuccine. I was very displeased and hardly touched my food. I didn’t even put a dent in it. When we ask for the check, the waiter looks down at my plate and says, «That was a big portion, huh? I love that,» when it’s clear that I hated what I was eating. Not once did he ask if I enjoyed it. We spent around $ 250 for mediocre food, awful service, and warm salad. I would not recommend this place at all unless you like being disappointed.

Came for an afternoon drink. Ordered the beer flight for $ 12 which gave you 43oz pours which was good as you could select your own from the 20 or so choices. Found a few new favorites by coming here.

Didn’t get to eat here because the aloof immature hostess didn’t tell me there was a step up to get into the dining room and I tripped and fell, which caused a number of other staff members to point and snicker. I got to my feet as she stared at me and then turned and put our menus on a table with no chairs. I noticed that although the room was practically empty they saw fit to put us next to the kitchen door. We left. Poor way to run things. I felt bad writing this because the food may be excellent here and I hate to see the kitchen staff suffer because of the lack of training and leadership in the front of the house staff, but this was an unnecessary event that I believe management should know about.

We came here for lunch and I found the food to be very good, the setting very nice, and the service also quite good. However, a dish with the word Salad as part of the name of the dish should never cost $ 24 and at $ 16 per, their very tasty sandwiches were probably a few bucks overpriced too. However, if you don’t mind spending about $ 65 including tax & tip for lunch to have a good meal in nice surroundings and efficient and attentive service, then you should check this place out. I thought my grilled vegetable sandwich called the Portobello Panini served with a side of beet and goat cheese salad was excellent. My wife had the $ 24 Steak Salad. She said it was good. One of our friends had the Steak Salad too and substituted salmon for the steak. Very large piece of salmon a plus but it was undercooked. The other friend had had the French Dip and enjoyed it. I helped him enjoy some really great, big fat French fries. Eating outside on the deck was very nice and very comfortable with a lot of ceiling fans going. Our service team was terrific. I have read some other negative comments about service here and think that perhaps the owner read them too and made some adjustments.

The setting is great. Mostly outdoors, well covered, attached to a historic inn. Food was solid. Not memorable, but nobody had complaints. Service was bad. Slow. Very slow. Things forgotten. Gave the clear impression the servers were just there to earn a check and couldn’t care less about the service level. So it keeps 3 stars for the food and the atmosphere.

Been here several times with different people. The bar area is a nice place to hang out and snack, and the bartender and bar area host are friendly and helpful people. Beers are plenty with great options. The actual restaurant itself feels a bit stuffy, even if you’re sitting outdoors. The servers all look stressed out and understaffed, and the hostess is downright rude. The food is decent. Some dishes like the seared octopus, hummus sampler, and grilled fish are delicious. But stay away from their pasta dishes — they always come out bland and overcooked. Their cocktails are strange to say in the least. I had one that I’m pretty sure was a glow in the dark party trick. Overall, it’s a decent place, a bit pricey, especially for the town. I would stick to the bar just for the better service.

I was definitely disappointed in Nikolas. First, I’ll start with service. We went on a Monday night so they were not terribly busy but had a few tables filled when we got there. We were promptly seated but then sat there for almost 15 minutes without anyone coming over to even fill our water glasses. Finally I alerted the hostess who sent over a bartender and a waiter. This was confusing because they were both taking our orders. Either way, we were just happy to finally have service. I wanted to try as much as possible from their menu so I ordered a few things to try from their a la carte menu. The french onion soup was pretty good but a bit on the salty side. The caeser salad was not good at all — it was WAY too fishy. So much so that I couldn’t finish it. Finally, I ended the meal with the eggplant rolotini which was not too bad but not as good as I would have expected given the price. As a side note, I have always wanted to eat there since I moved to the area so the Spinsaver deal we bought sealed the deal. Unfortunately though, we did not use the Spinsaver deal by the expiration date but when we called Spinsaver they informed us that we can always use it for the value we paid for the deal(they would just deduct that amount from our check) which we were happy with. I called to make a reservation and spoke to the manager about this because I didn’t want any confusion when we came in. She said we could use it and to mention her name… which we did. Unfortunately though, she did not specify that we actually still had to conform to the terms of the deal which were for the Prix fix menu. This was not mentioned to us until we were done with our meal and ready to pay. They made it seem like they were doing us a favor by giving us the money off but it just left us with(even more of a) bad taste in our mouth. Mostly I’m giving a 2 star rating due to the poor service and the lack luster food. We will likely not be returning.

New Year’s Eve, we dined at Nikolas and had a fantastic experience. We each ordered the 4 course dinner with wine pairings for $ 89 per person. Everything was excellent, and the highlights were the octopus appetizer, and the stuffed shrimp special entrée. Service was flawless, and our server Brett was very knowledgeable about the wine pairings and menu items. Nikolas has become the best restaurant in New Hope /Lambertville.

We moved to New Hope about a year ago. Since then, we’ve eaten at Nikolas about once a month. Pros: — Prix fixe menu is reasonably priced for the selections offered — four courses for $ 35 — Outdoor setting is great for people watching, and there are both ceiling fans and heaters — Great selection of wine and beer — I’m a huge fan of the variety of belgian drafts — In our experience, the service has been consistently good — They offer a frequent diner program — we’ve already earned a couple of $ 25 gift cards Cons: — In the year we’ve been going, the menu hasn’t changed much Overall, solid food and service at a solid price. We’ll keep coming back!

First, this review discusses the reason we chose NOT to dine at Nikolas, a part of The Logan Inn, New Hope, PA. We dined at the Logan Inn many times prior to it’s restaurant becoming«Nikolas». This past weekend, we visited New Hope once again with our first stop being Logan Inn’s Bar, entering from the side street. Our drinks were just fine. However, bar munchies such as peanuts, pretzels, cheese and crackers were not available as we were told…” we only serve food here…”. Now, back to the restaurant review: We made dinner reservations for later on that evening at Nikolas, not knowing of it’s new owner at the time. We exited the bar and walked around the corner to Main St. It was then that we discovered that«Nicolas» was the new name of the restaurant with Prix-Fixe menu selections that were«not bargain basement» as a local PA newspaper put it. Frankly, I resented the fact that Nicolas was now dictating the cost of one’s meal, a strategy that, in my opinion, is clearly done to guarantee cash-flow for the restaurant capitalizing on the pedestrian traffic along Main St., New Hope. We continued shopping and decided to dine at any one of a number of fine restaurants along the riverfront where we could easily choose any amount we wanted to spend on dinner, without compromising cuisine, taste, quantity, or quality of our food. We did just that and called Nikolas as we walked down a landscaped pathway to a cozy restaurant along the river, cancelling our dinner reservation. BTW, we passed Nikolas on the way back to our car; it was approx. 7PM with only several tables occupied. Our original reservation request was for 5:30PM which we were told would be difficult to attain. We knew this not to be true; yet another reason for my negative review of the new Nikolas restaurant, owners and staff.

Nikolas is located inside the Logan Inn in New Hope. I was staying at Logan Inn with my fiancé and we decided to eat there for restaurant week. We had a drink at the bar while waiting for our table. The bartender was super friendly and started a conversation with us right away. It was a nice start to our dinner. The dining room was pretty small, tables were pretty close together, but I didn’t feel like we were sitting on top of each other. For appetizers we ordered the seared octopus and mussels. Both were delicious. I ordered the mussels with the white wine garlic broth. Great choice. It was light and tasty. We ordered the caesar salads, good, a little over dressed, but had a lot of flavor. For our main entrée I ordered the crab cake in phyllo and my fiancé ordered the oxtail. Yum, yum, yum. Both were so good. The crab cake with the crunch of the butterly phyllo was perfect. And the oxtail was so tender with the noodles. We ate it up. We were a little full for dessert, but ordered the flourless chocolate cake and Galaktoboureko, which is a greek custard inside phyllo. I couldn’t stop eating it, even though I was so full. I don’t like overly sweet desserts and this was perfect. When we paid our bill we both received a card that would give us 29.95 off our next visit. Can’t wait to go back. It was a great meal.
