We just came in for Christmas cocktails. The bartender was extremely nice and went out of her way to find cucumbers for F’s Pimm’s cup. She also tried to find the ingredients for a Vieux Carre but was missing some. The Ketel One martini was spot on. A cozy winter spot. The fireplaces were not on because is was warm.

The food here is top notch! Living in the city, I am used to frequenting primarily tapas style restaurants, which I am always on the lookout for when in the New Hope area. Left Bank provides a wide offering of many small plates to share, so you can experience as much of the menu as possible. The Quilted Pig was so savory and by far the best thing I’d eaten in a while. Dollar oysters were awesome as well. The service needs works. Our server seemed bored and rather dismissive of us at times, which was surprising since the place wasn’t busy at all. Not sure if he was annoyed by that, but you’d think he’d be happier to see he had some business for the evening as opposed to the opposite! The food is so worth a stop here, and the front porch dining area gives a great view of downtown Bridge Street for people watching. As I read through some of these reviews, it seems that there are consistent remarks about the poor service. It would be a shame if Left Bank is losing business based on the attitude of the staff, because I’d give them five stars on the menu and wine list!

The hostess/waitress was rude and unwelcoming. We were about to pull the door open to come in when she pushed it from the other side and rushed passed us. Not even a sorry that she nearly slammed me in the face with the door. Then we walked in confused on where to go and she came back and just stared at us until we asked if we could sit down for a drink. It took 5 mins for her to come back so we could order and another 15 to even get the drink. She never even came back to ask if we wanted another and we had to find her to get the check. What a waste of time! Never coming back here.

We passed on a few other places, choosing this place for it’s menu. After standing in the only doorway, ignored, for a couple minutes, we started to think that we made a mistake. The manager(I pray I’m wrong) literally greeted the group of four women behind us in line, clearly there for a birthday with,“Okay, YOU’RE gonna have to WAIT.” With that intonation. I just. wow. We waited at our table for about 15 minutes, during which we were able to order a coffee. Realizing there seemed to be one waiter on staff, we decided we were officially in the wrong place, settled for the coffee and went to Caffe Galleria. The décor was nice, so I guess there’s that.

They have upped their game. They have an awesome menu that delivers on freshness and flavor. Warm and inviting atmosphere. Sit near the window if there are two of you so you can people watch. Specials are weekly. So you are sure to have in season creations. Service is spot on too! Enjoy.

Trying to find a bar in Lambertville, NJ can be a problem on a Saturday nite, there are tons of restaurants and mostly BYOBs. Happily using my Unilocal mobile app, I found the Left Bank just around the corner from the crowded Lambertville Station Pub. And what a find it was! Located inside the lobby of the historic Lambertville House Hotel, this bar and bistro is a little bit of heaven. The bar has great cocktails, two fireplaces and a couple of couches and spots to sit for an intimate drink or small bite to eat. Our bartender was pleasant and the place was quiet, which librarians like myself like! In the afternoons there are outdoor café tables to sit at on the patio and it gets pretty crowded here in the summer and fall on this busy street. Will have to come back and try some lunch, but the evening scene at the bar was nice and I highly recommend it.

Was on a little mini-vacation to Lambertville and had to find a place to eat lunch. We happened upon this bistro and thought we’d give it a try. I’m glad we did. When we were there, there was only one waiter, but it wasn’t crowded and the waiter was very helpful. The ambiance reminds you of a colonial inn(reasonable considering it was built in one) but the food is miles better. Excellent wine and spirit selection, great charcuterie options, and delicious main dishes. I recommend the smoked croque. Indoor and outdoor seating, great food, nice ambiance, what else do you need?

Came and sat at the bar prior to heading out for dinner. Martini was perfectly prepared so I ordered a second. We also had the dollar oyster special, both on the half shell and garlic/Parmesan roasted. Both were excellent. Would like to come back and stay for dinner.

Do you like amazing cheeses and whisky? …Of course you do. This is the spot for you. Intimate, small speakeasy style lounge atmosphere. Perfect date spot. The Chef is a lunatic genius. Brisket Sandwiches au Jus, pâté, and great oysters(both raw and broiled concoctions). Then… the cheese plates; Cheeses, both local and imported, good enough to cause you to make inappropriate moaning noises in the quiet, and dimly lit lounge.(The locals who chill here won’t bat a single eye… moan away). My highest recommendation in town.

Awesome place for serious drinks. We knew this bar existed, as throngs of people come here to drink in the summer at an outdoor table, watching people walk by, but had no idea about the cute and comfy inside. Glad we checked it out. It’s another small, charming drink spot with maybe 7 two-tops outside, 7 bar seats, and 7 indoor tables of varying sizes. There are also two fireplaces inside and two table by the window which are sort of like being outside. The drink menu features classics and twists on classics. Glen’s sidecar rocked. The French martini was delicious. The wine and beer selection isn’t huge, but liquor selection is more than ample. There is also a French-inspired menu of food, which looked good, but we didn’t eat so I can’t vouch for it. If eats are as good as drinks, it gets straight As all around.

This small bar, located in the Lambertville House Hotel, has the absolute BEST Pulled Pork sandwich I have ever had in my life! On the menu, it is called the Quilted Pig and it literally melts in your mouth. If you are in the area and you like Pulled Pork, it is definitely worth the trip!

Good place to grab a drink. The bartender was ok, a little short and not very friendly. Maybe he was having a bad day… who knows?

Perhaps this is a great spot for a drink but I’d stop there. We went on a beautiful summer night and were hoping to enjoy a nice meal in their garden. While the place was cute, the service was awful and the food was mediocre at best. We had to ask for bread four times. We had to catch the waiter to get refills on water. They forgot one of the four dinners to top it off and were barely apologetic about it. Although we had to continually track down the wait staff for minor requests(like salt and pepper) and included the manager in some of our requests, when we complained at the end, she said, «oh, I wish I knew you got your check, I would have done something». I wish I could say the redeeming part of the restaurant was that the food was good when we finally got it but it was only fair. There are a lot of restaurants in this area. I’d look elsewhere.

Decided to visit Lambertville on what was a beautiful Sunday morning. By the time we arrived, we were starving and decided to find a place to eat. Right on the main strip was the Left Bank Bistro which is part of the historic Lambertville Inn. We sat outside on the patio watching cars drive by on their way to and from the bridge which crosses the Delaware from New Hope, PA. I had the Left Bank Omelet — eggs, blue cheese and apples. It was absolutely perfect! We loved the location and the food. Would definitely come back. Great place to try when visiting the Lambertville area.

Not really impressed with this one. A cute little spot for sure. Perfect for a drink– definitely. We were SO hungry and I got truffle mac and cheese and my mom got a burger. The truffle mac n cheese I say truffle loosely. Didnt taste like truffle at all. Tasted like greasy cheese. Im a mouse when it comes to cheese and I was SOOOO hungry but I couldnt eat more than half of it. Felt like it was sliding around in my stomach. $ 45 w/tip for a small undercooked burger and a greasy plate of noodles and 2 beers. Complete waste. Then the server didnt argue, but did dispute slightly when we asked for things or mentioned or dislike of the food. Not rude, but defensive. Save yourself and your wallet and eat somewhere else.

The perfect place to get a drink, period. They have a minimal but surprisingly adequate bar menu. Have a good collection of scotch and bourbon and their cocktails are top notch. Oh their food is excellent too. What really tops is the ambience, a late Victorian touch, a knowledgeable crowd and friendly bartenders. Oh and they have sofas!

After looking for parking in New Hope on this early Sunday evening we finally gave up and went across the bridge to unfamiliar Lambertville. We found on the street metered parking quickly and went looking for a restaurant. First stop was an Italian restaurant that once inside looked like any of the thousands of pizza parlors in New Jersey. We left and saw a hotel about half a block away and thought perhaps it had a restaurant, and hopefully that the restaurant had a some ambiance. Although we saw no signs of any eatery from a quick look at the front of the building, we went in and lo and behold, inside … a very cozy small restaurant and bar with fireplace and cushioned arm chairs. The lunch menu had a wonderful selection to chose from, about 50% vegan or lacto vegetarian. I had a «cheese» steak sandwich made from seitan and chose the olive spread, sort of a tapenade. Both were scrumptious. Although Unilocal indicates alcohol is not served, there is a bar and I had a nice glass of Syrah. My cousin had onion soup and a caesar salad roma with chicken which she also enjoyed. I think I’ll come back next week and try some of the other interesting dishes. I didn’t realize until I wrote this review and started to put it under the hotel’s Caffe Galleria that we were in Left Bank Libations. Apparently the bar serves food from the Galleria. We didn’t see the Galleria but from the looks of the photos I think we made the right choice.

I have had three of my all-time favorite cocktail hours here in the past year. Each time I’ve been they were offering beer from Lambertville’s Riverhorse brewery, a few other blah beers, and about a dozen specialty martinis, some of which sound pretty interesting. But we go here for the margaritas and the front porch seating. The margaritas are great because they are well-balanced and not sweet – sour and salty! In the right weather, the front porch is a great place to watch Lambertville go by as your BAC steadily climbs. We also love the free, frequently-refilled bowls of salty snacks, and the mature service. This isn’t a place for people who want to watch TV or yell over a jukebox while they drink, so head to one of New Hope’s big bars if you want to do the Captain Morgan pose and get your obnoxious party on. Go to Left Bank for a drink with a date before dinner(assuming you can keep up your end of a conversation), or go here if you want to catch up with someone close to you.

This tiny intimate bar in the Lambertville House hotel is very appealing, with a kind bartender and a gorgeous copper bar. In the windows, a wall of single malt scotches sits. Those days are over for me, but their selection was good. It was a hot day, so most people were sipping white wine. This would be a wonderful spot to warm up in the winter, with its combination of sofas and tables. There is no restaurant here, but it’s no problem since Lambertville is filled with good dining. There is a lovely patio out back and narrow outside seating behind an iron railing in front, great for people watching, as others said, or for me, dog watching, since everyone in Lambertville seems to have a dog. Watch for this place as soon as you cross the bridge, on the left, after escaping the congestion of New Hope. We felt so relaxed here that we dawdled too long and missed getting into the Soupçon Salon at Manon, hosted by Chef Vince of the Kindle Café. Can’t wait for him to get a permanent spot, with his healthy, local, ayurveda-based meals. But we now have a second-favorite bar spot, after Anton’s Swan Bar a few blocks away. Somethings there is a singer or musician here on weekends.
