This is my favorite diner ever! The staff is so friendly and they make sure you never run out of coffee or water. There coffee is delicious by the way. Keep in mind it’s a small diner with one cook so sometimes the food takes a little longer. I go here every Saturday morning with my dad for breakfast. It’s a quiet atmosphere with a slightly older crowd and a younger staff would definitely recommend for breakfast. They have a good lunch menu too with a lot of sandwiches.

Stopped in for breakfast last weekend, we ordered scrambled eggs, and I had bacon, my friend had sausage. Seemed like a long wait for the few people in the diner. I had asked for my bacon to be done light, not crispy, but it was completely crisp and hard when my food came. My friend’s sausage had an «off» taste, he was afraid it was spoiled! Scrambled eggs were tossed too many times and were crumbly, not fluffy. I won’t be going back…

Breakfast isn’t too bad. I got an omelette with mushrooms, onions, and cheese which were all clumped up in different parts of the omelette! It would have been way better if it was even a little more equally spread out. The mushrooms are the obvious canned ones which didn’t taste too great and I got a whopping clump that I had to take out. While the waitresses are pretty friendly, they all seem a little disorganized, but maybe we just caught them on a bad day. I did like how they seemed to know a lot of their customers personally. They asked quite a few customers around us about their kids and joked around a lot :) Overall, not incredible, but it is a diner! I’d go back and maybe just not get mushrooms next time.

Although this place was previously Uncle Tom’s Dinner and now, just a new name, it is not the same place… Today I ordered a double cheeseburger, the day’s special, with a medium rare temp and home cut French fries.,.boy was I disappointed! When my burger arrived the lower bun was saturated with bright red blood to the point that it fell apart when I picked it up! The burger was so rare that I could not even eat it. In addition, the home cut French fries were very oily and possessed a sour rancid bouquet. Two other individuals that dined with me had similar issues: diner # 2’s grilled cheese was so greasy that the bread was dripping oil and had similar issues with the fries. Diner # 3 faired the best as the only major issue was the fact that cheddar cheese was put on his steak hoagie instead of his choice Swiss, but also had bad fries. It will be a while before I try this place again especially since the chef shouted, «next time you need to order a well done burger» as we were walking out!
