Good food, good service, good value! The eclectic menu and extensive beer list is a consistent delight. Flights are reasonably priced and their selection of drafts always has local brews. Their pizzas are truly Italian style, with a wide range of toppings and a handmade, crispy crust. The Friday fish fry is generous in portion and well-battered, and their chicken wings come in interesting flavors. Angus burgers are big, thick, and flavorful. The staff is friendly and attentive without seeming fake, and the overall atmosphere is very«neighborhood.»

We just left the Resturant being there for the first time. Took my son and daughter in law out for dinner and what a good time we had. We order the Fungi pizza, Gorgonzola w/Fig pizza and the steak steak pizza. The goat salad to die for so good. Our waiter was great also. The guys tried a couple different beers. Everything was fantastic and we will be going back. I had a groupon. Coupon still on groupin site get it. So worth it!!!

Went again and had another great experience! Our table ordered three of the pizzas. I was hesitant to try one when I saw they were more flatbread-looking than the doughy Buffalo pizza I’m used to, but glad I took a chance. Each of the pizzas were pretty good and the smalls can feed two people(you get 8 slices). Of the three we liked the bacon, goat cheese and spinach pizza the best. 2nd was the asparagus and Brie pizza and 3rd was the prosciutto pizza. All three were great though and very different from one another. I’d highly recommend going with a few friends so you can try a few of their«pies». I’m looking forward to coming back!

This place is the epitome of inconsistency. I have had great food, great service and then another night just tasteless food and 1.5 hours to get food served. I am just so disappointed in this place. I want them to be great but they are bad and it makes me sad.

The outside might throw people off, especially since you only see a bar as you walk up and in. Through the bar, at the back is the restaurant. Not that it’s a problem, just worth mentioning so people don’t leave without going in because it’s definitely worth the try. Their gourmet pizzas were just that, gourmet. My parents and I split the Spicy Chipotle Chicken pizza and my wife ordered an individual/small goat pizza(which wasn’t that small) and both were fantastic. Plenty of food for the price. We all split some wings and minus the extra sauce we requested on them, they came out perfect. Great flavor, not too crispy, and not too soft. Top it off with some really good bleu cheese and we had a great dinner tonight.

The 5 of us(adults) eat out at least 2 x’s a week, all having a different type of food likes we thought we would give it a try.(BIGMISTAKE). Five orders 3 plates come out together, then four minutes later comes a plate, with the commit that the last one is under the broiler, 8 minutes later the final plate. Chicken wings dry and over cooked no celery or carrots, just 10 wings and dip. Ruben sandwich so tough and fatty couldn’t eat half the meat, wanted to get a different side instead of fries, but no substitutes, ordered with no pickle, came with a pickle and all the juice soaking the fries. Chicken parmesan was really good but no sauce on the pasta, had to ask for more sauce. Second Ruben ok but fries so salty couldn’t eat them. Then comes the eggplant parmesan, pasta had plenty of sauce, but breading on eggplant was thicker than the actual eggplant. We not the type to look at prices but the money we paid for the worst food experience we have had in months get your act together, when 5 people order bring the food together and when 2 people order the same thing, make them uniform.

I have been trying to get my husband to take me here for months. I mean, how could you not want to eat at a place called Yelling Goat??? You enter the restaurant through the bar. The bar was very nice and definitely a place I would like to have a drink at. Where you sit to dine wasn’t anything special, but it got the job done. The service was fantastic! My husband and I were both surprised to see everything the menu had to offer. We decided to split a pizza and we each had a burger. The pizza we got was delicious. My blue cheese burger was also good. I will say that I wished there was more to my burger, like maybe bacon! I will definitely come back!

I initially had a hard time trying to guess if The Yelling Goat was a dive bar or a rough-n-tough biker bar. But then I ate there, and am now having a hard time trying to decide if it’s a bistro or a pub-n-grill. One things for sure, they make wonderful, gourmet hand-tossed pizza, so I guess we can rule out dive & biker bar, leaving behind an even split for pub and bistro. THEBISTROSIDE They have a whole extra menu allocated to the pizza thing, and for good reason. The pizza the wife and I split had goat cheese, bacon and spinach. It was terrific. It’s reason alone to head back there sometime. THEPUBSIDE The burgers they serve are really thick… too thick. They’re thick with good intentions, but the best intentioned burger architects in the world know that if you make ‘em too thick, they get both too soggy and overcooked the same time when they’re served medium/medium-rare(the only way to eat a hamburger). I’d try the burger again, but with more caution next time.

I owe these guys an apology. The piece of beef I tasted in the restaurant was not representative of the truly perfect remainder I brought home. I gave the review another star — up to 3 now. Sry.

Went here for dinner with a group of people. I wasn’t a huge fan having to cut through the bar to get to the restaurant but that’s whatever. The ambiance of the restaurant was very relaxed but nice. Maybe a place for the family or a girls night out. Drinks wise, mostly craft beers, so if you’re into that, you’ll dig this. Dinner wise, I had a burger, it was huge, like HUGE. It was delicious but huge. The menu ranges from apps, to salads, a variety of pastas, and a selection of burgers and sandwiches. The portion sizes are huge, definitely worth the money. I have to say, the French fries, amazing. I give The Yelling Goat, two thumbs up.

My husband and I live in the area and have dined at The Yelling Goat several times. We always enjoy one of their salads and pizzas. Last night we learned that we need to stick to ordering those items. We started our meal with the Ethiopian berbere wings, which are a staple at Theas’(the owner’s Ethiopian restaurant in East Aurora). These wings are supposed to be prepared with a dry rub and deep fried to crispy perfection. We enjoy these wings very much at Theas’. Unfortunately the wings we received at The Yelling Goat had little flavor, were saucy instead of receiving the dry rub, and had floppy skin. Also, a little garnishment on the plate, such as carrots or celery, would have been nice. For our entrée we ordered blackened, broiled fish, which the menu specifically states comes with house-cut fries. The fish had an odd flavor and did not taste like blackened seasoning. The fries tasted like they were reheated in a microwave and were most definitely not house-cut. It goes without saying that we did not have more than a couple bites of this entrée. We mentioned our concerns to our server, Alexis, who was very apologetic and took the fish dinner off our bill. We will return to The Yelling Goat as their pizzas are delicious, but we have learned our lesson and will never order wings or fish from this establishment again.

We had a party of six and ordered a variety of dishes from pasta to corned beef to burgers. There is a pizza menu which is on the table and separate from the main menu so be careful not to overlook it. The server took our orders without writing anything down which was impressive, but one of the dishes came out wrong. The rolled Lasagna was very tasty but it was a little cold on the inside and yet the plate was very hot. We had bourbon barbecued wings and calamari for appetizers. The wings were delicious but the calamari was overdone having been left in the dryer too long. They had a nice selection of burgers on the menu but didn’t see many other choices of sandwiches available.

Three of us went to The Yelling Goat for lunch today, and we all had great lunches. Two of us had the Chicken Sandwich with bacon, carmelized onions and mushroooms, on their own homemade bread made at their other restaurant,(Medici House in East Aurora) each morning. The bread was amazing!!! The other of us, had the Cheeseburger. Which was on a very fresh roll, and was huge, and homemade as well. 12 oz of the best burger he has ever had. All the sandwiches are served with french fries and a pickle. Two of us girls had a side salad instead of the french fries, and they were nice and crispy fresh. We had our salad dressing on the side, and the only thing is that the little cups with the dressing should be filled to the top. We had to ask for more dressing when we saw the waitress go by. We will be back for lunch or maybe dinner next time.

I want to really like this restaurant. It has a lot going for it. It’s a legit craft beer bar/restaurant located in the heart of Lancaster, something the village is severely lacking. The beer menu is pretty good, a couple of choice craft brews mixed with some generic ones so there is something for everyone, even non craft beer drinkers. The food menu is also really good, especially the pizzas. However, The Goat is still lacking in a few key areas. First, please finish updating the interior. Surely after seeing your other restaurants you have an eye for design, and one small goat head sculpture and a walking stick makes the place look unfinished. The newly added laminate floor only adds to the already noisy dining area. Some rugs and/or curtains or at least some noise canceling wall art will help with one of the most common complaints about the Yelling Goat: the noise. Next, while I understand it is unnecessary for your staff to be deeply knowledgable about all the beers you offer, they should be instructed to at least ask the customer what type of beer glass they would like, as many of your beers would be better enjoyed with the proper glass instead of the standard pint glass. This is purely something that only matters to beer snobs, but I feel this extra attention to detail would only boost the reputation of the restaurant. Lastly, when we sat down we were given a dinner menu, a pizza menu, a beer menu and a wine menu. While I understand that The Goat has a lot to offer menu-wise, but to have this many menus on a table for 4 people is ridiculous. Combine all of that into one menu, similar to your take menu and you will greatly reduce the clutter on the table. Adding to that note, when our two pizzas where brought out, they placed nearly on top of one another being assured by the server that she’ll make them fit on the table. All you need are some stacking racks to place the pizza’s on to reduce the clutter. The Yelling Goat is so close to being a great local restaurant. We end up getting takeout most of the time rather than going in because of a lot of the contributing factors listed above. I don’t think any of these changes would be difficult to make and would only increase the already steady flow of patrons The Goat currently has.

Went for dinner on July 24, 2015. Service was sub par. Dinner companion ordered steak salad… even though the steak was ordered medium rare it was served at a temperature beyond shoe leather, good thing(or bad?) there were only a few strips of steak because those dried out strips were totally unappetizing to even look at. The salad itself was barely ordinary… iceberg lettuce, a couple of halved grape tomatoes and a few onion slivers… zzzzz. I had the grilled flank and mashed potatoes with a side Caesar salad. Again, salad was lackluster and the dressing lacked salt(and I’m not a salt alcoholic so you know it’s bad when I salt my food. especially a salad). Mashed potatoes tasted homemade and very good. Flank steak was good and serving size good. Last thing I want to hit on was atmosphere. It was LOUD, LOUD, LOUD in there. I felt like I was at a frat party. My dinner companion was two feet away from me and we had to use raised voices hear each other. Other guests were in the same boat so the noise level was BEYOND relaxing. That’s NOT how I want to enjoy a dining night out.

Went here last night for their beer pairing dinner featuring Sly Fox Brewing… so this review is more in reference to that experience. We arrived about 10 minutes before the event was scheduled to begin… the 4 course dinner was $ 30 a person, which I believe is very reasonable. Our reserved table had some Sly Fox stickers, coasters and glasses waiting for us, which was really nice and got us excited to start tasting their beers. The event got started a little late, as they were waiting for a rather large group to find their seats. The acoustics unfortunately weren’t very good in the main dining room, as we could barely hear the gentleman from Sly Fox talking… which was disappointing. The Yelling Goat staff was very attentive and prompt in serving us each course and each beer… however, we would have liked the Sly Fox rep to say more about why the beers were chosen for each course(though we were able to make our own observations and have just as much fun with it!). My favorite from the food selection had to be their honey mustard wings… paired with Sly Fox Odyssey IPA. The spiciness of the wings worked really well with the IPA, as the flavors didn’t overpower one another… rather created a nice balance. I would like to come back to Yelling Goat for a «regular» dinner… to experience some of their other offerings. The ambiance could use a little more character; the walls felt rather bare, and the bar area looked almost identical to Fireside Inn when they operated there. If they can carve out something a little different and use the space to accompany that, I think Yelling Goat will be a great place to go.

I’ve been somewhat reluctant to write this review. Whereas I love the sister restaurants — Thea’s and Medici House — I don’t «love» this one. The menu is extensive however the full menu is not available for lunch. Focus is upon pizza and/or sandwiches with a few appetizers/salads tossed in. The food was good. Pricing on par with what I would expect a sit down lunch to cost. Maria B.‘s review noted our lunch choices and all were good. The brie was indeed exceptional. I had planned on taking home a duck breast dinner for hubby. My plans were thwarted in that I could only order off of the lunch/pizza menu. Not happy about it. The steak pizza served as a decent substitute — read GONEBYTHENEXTMORNING — however it wasn’t the freaking Daffy that I had hoped to appease hubby with so I would not personally have to deal with the little greaseballs that are called ducks. If you have never cooked one and plan on it, be prepared. That being said, I also felt that there truly was not enough«ethnic» on the menu, other than the berbere wings. I enjoyed my brie. Immensely. I enjoyed the chicken sammie and the spinach/artichoke dip. The cheesy baguette slices that accompanied two of the dishes were very nicely done. Will I be back, I don’t know. I think that I will stick to Thea’s.

I came for lunch on a weekday. A few tables were occupied and others filled in later. I had perused the menu online beforehand but had not realized that was the dinner menu. The lunch menu is more focused on pizzas and sandwiches. But the highly spoken of Berber wings were on the lunch menu. We tried three things: baked Brie, artichoke dip and the chicken sandwich. The Brie was probably the best of the three. Came nicely melted and with good prices of baguette to spread it on. The artichoke dip had bacon bits and it was a nice combo. Came with the same pieces of toast. The chicken sandwich has some bacon as well and melted cheese. Consistent with other recent experiences the bread was just too thick. I had to take one half off. I am glad I came and tried this place. Were I to come back it would be for dinner. I found that menu more interesting. Easy parking. 1773

Another good dinner. Started with the Grilled Romaine. Served whole. Topped with prosciutto, sprinkled with dates, nuts and cheese. Was good but difficult to eat because all we had were the bread plates they gave with the complimentary bread and oil. Definitely needed bigger plates to make this easier to eat. Didn’t see the server until almost done so didn’t bother to ask. Although being a Friday and really wanting the fish fry, I’ve had a taste for a burger lately. I don’t eat much red meat so it may have been the caveman coming out. So burger it was, and with the choices of toppings I went blue cheese. Good burger. Nice size. Brioche style bun. You can choose it done pink or no pink. I chose no pink and it was done right. The fresh cut fries are always welcomed. Our other entrée was blackened Tilapia. Highly seasoned and blackened, moist yet flaky, with a side of potato au gratin and good as well. Guinness is by bottle only so I went with a local Milk Stout draft which I like. If it’s red wine you prefer, try the Merlot they offer from Washington. Staff are friendly and helpful, meals were good, slight miss on the Grilled Romaine. Still at 3 stars. Sláinte

Ahhh yes the restaurant formerly known as the fireside inn! The place still looks relatively the same with a few updates and a complete overhaul of the beer selection as well. From what I noticed there’s no domestic«blah» on tap and they switched over to the ever changing craft beer side of things! The separate dining area behind the wrap around bar is still intact as well. The menu has been for the most part revamped and they added pizzas to the menu. At some point I’ll have to give these a try. The soup and chicken wings I did try tasted good to me and where sauced and seasoned well. The staff here is friendly as well and this still has the local pub feel to it and all the regulars seem to know who everyone is. I’ll stop on back here in due time, pretty solid.
