What a great place to go and get gifts. I use their bath bombs with the shea butter inside them and my skin fills like silk when I get out and the bathroom and bedroom smells soooooo good. I also love the poop-pouri… great bathroom addition. This store is like having one of those great boutique stores in LA or Beverly but right here in the Antelope Valley.

Mark and Shari are the best. Shari’s sense of interior design and selection of Décor really makes Backdrop one of the best Home stores in the Antelope Valley. Don’t think for a second that this place is all Ladies and Lace either, Mark brings a great balance of Men and Metal to Backdrop that can be seen in the one of a kind reclaimed wood furnishings they have. Backdrop is a real gem in the A.V. and even if you are not in the market for home décor it’s worth stopping by and checking out the amazing window displays. YES, they have AMAZING window displays. like retailers used to have back-in-the-day. I uploaded a few images from Backdrop of some really cool bar stools I found there. Check them out. Incidentally — yes, I purchased my Selvage Denim in the A.V. just down the block on The BLVD at the vintage store. :)

This shop reminds me a little of the home/kitchen/bath section of Anthropologie… no clothes, just cool home décor. Its a neat little shop to get lost in — there is something to see in every nook and cranny and corner. Take your time, go slow, and take it all in. The selection of Tokyo Milk products is huge! There are tons of different parfum selections from other manufacturers as well… I had heard that they might start carrying Lollia, which would be fantastic! I tend to be very critical of what takes up residence on Lancaster Boulevard and this little shop certainly makes the cut! Go enjoy lunch, walk around, and plan some extra time(and spending cash) for this cute little spot. I would also suggest becoming a fan on FB — the owner posts shop updates and specials out there pretty frequently.
