I Love this place food is great. Vicki is always are server and she is the best. The portions are huge so go hungry, and be prepared to take some home. Like the sign says when you walk in «If you leave hungry it’s your own fault». There prime rib dinner is the bomb!

I’ve been coming to crazy ottos since the original one by the railroad tracks on Sierra Hwy. I use to eat there and and when they moved to this location at least once a week. Since they went corporate or whatever new owner service has gone off the tracks pun intended. We always get the Spanish omelet which I highly recommend. At the time of writing this review I sat at the counter by myself with the stop watch on my phone running. It took 5 min to asked what I wanted to drink. It does get busy in here but looking around their about 45% at capacity. Try Village Grill on Sierra hwy. it’s like going back in time to the Old Crazy Ottos just a different name and on the other side of the street!

Don’t order the pastrami here unless you want a half of a sandwich. I ordered the pastrami sandwich for almost $ 12. Received a sandwich with few pieces of meat. I told them to take it back, she took it and brought back with enough meat to make a half of a sandwich. They offered to make me something else, but at that point I had lost my appetite. Beside the meat was burnt beyond recognition.

Has the typical diner feel with the great hospitality. Ordered an avocado omelette and the waitress recommended ordering the full if I wanted leftovers since it was only a dollar more. Portion sizes are very big, so I hope you’re hungry.

By far the best crazy otto’s site is the Ave I one. The one on Ave k while providing good food is just way to small and crowded. Not only is it 1⁄3 the size of the Ave I site but there is always a long line(since it is so small) and people are always bumping into you and your table as they try to walk by. The food at either location is excellent though. Huge portions. It has taken me 3 days before to finish a full portion omelet. Thank goodness for doggie bags.

This has been one of our favorite places since we moved to the AV in 2009. Portions are huge & super yummy. Service is above par. It’s a cute place with fun ambiance. We even went there for our anniversary last year for prime rib & were treated extra special.

Around the AV there are a couple of locations of Crazy Ottos, I’ve been to 2 in Lancaster & the one in rosamond. Needless to say, this location is the worst! Horrible! This morning, I went in to have lunch with my family. We were seated right away & the waitress took our order of drinks. The 1st accident was that my mom ordered raspberry tea, the waitress came back with cranberry juice 20 min later. Not a big deal right? Another 10 minutes she came back & took our orders. I ordered the chili burger with French fries & a side of salad. The salad was disgusting and it was drowning in ranch. Our food took about 30 minutes to arrive. I started eating. I thought it was just me but the chili was disgusting so I had my dad try(he’s a chef) he almost threw up. Mind you, I was starving so I continued eating. I got to my hamburger patty. And it was burnt, charcoal burnt. So I didn’t eat it, I started eating off of my dad’s plate, I think he got chicken quesadillas, the chicken had absolutely no flavor, so my dad ordered guacamole. when we got it, you can tell it was just smashed avocados.. Lord help me now. But wait there’s more! My mom got a sandwich, I forgot what kind. the patty was also extremely burnt. My mom was also starving so I never seen her add so much pepper to something lmao & now, my little sister literally adores french fries, she barely even touched them! Well let’s just say, it was a waste of $ 60 … You’re better off going to carls jr.

So… This morning I decided to take my children to #CrazyOttos for breakfast. We arrive around 10AM and as expected it was extremely crowded. We are seated and order within approximately 10 – 15 min. After waiting for our food for over 30 minutes. I discover that strawberries that topped my French toast are rotten. I tell the waitress and she says she will«take care of it.» I’m disgusted and don’t eat my food. At this point I’m just ready to go! My check comes and the only thing off of my bill is the strawberries I ask to speak with the manager Wendy who says«well we took off the strawberries but you need to pay for the rest of the food. Why wouldn’t I charge you for the French toast? Only the strawberries were bad» I explained that I wasn’t paying for food that was topped with rotten fruit she says«what do you want now? You want me to comp your whole bill??» I looked at her puzzled and she walked away to assist another customer and began talking to a waitress. When I called her name to speak with her she ignored me and said she was done listening to me and I just need to pay my bill and if I don’t pay she’s going to take down my license plate #. I explained that I had no issues paying for my children’s food which I did but I wasn’t paying for my meal. Needless to say I left there furious an OVERANHOURLATER To me this was poor management, poor customer service. NEVER going to #CrazyOttos AGAIN!

Food and service. First time here for dinner. We arrived at about 7pm. There were maybe three tables being used and one of those had already finished eating. We were greeted and sat at a table quickly, and asked for water and a soda while waiting for two other folks to join us. Our friends joined us about five minutes later. The server asked if we wanted any drinks. I guess she forgot about our original drinks. It took over 10 minutes to get our drinks. We all used the 2-for-$ 20 coupon and both of us had the prime rib while our friends had prime rib an chicken. I offered mine rare, one other prime rib was ordered med-rare. Our meals took about 20 minutes to arrive. I could tell immediately that mine was overdone.(I have cooking experience.) to me, it looked like it was well… brown throughout. Same with my friends MR piece. I told the server and she said«No, that is rare. It looks red over there. » I knew right away there is no winning with her. I ate the thing but should have returned it. Veggies were good but mashed potatoes tasted old and the gravy wasn’t that good. They were out of baked potatoes. The soda was flat. When asked about getting a different kind of soda, the server said it won’t be any more carbonated. We’ve been to Crazy Otto’s many times for breakfast and never disappointed. Well probably never go back for dinner.

This is the go-to spot every time we are in Lancaster! HUGE portions of food and not pricey. Usually they have great service and there are a ton of staff to help you and check in on the table. I like the fun atmosphere and i feel like everyone working is happy to be there. There is always parking available which is nice and they can easily accommodate big crowds(we are usually 8 – 12 people).

This place is not worth the time or the money. Even though the portion sizes are huge, the staff is very rude and the food is very bland. I know Otto probably started this place as a dream, but the staff at this location kills it for everyone and makes you not want to ever come here again. I will definitely give this franchise another chance, but it will definitely not be from this location and that is a promise.

I’m convinced the people who have this place a bad review either came during busy hours or had weird expectations for a diner. The waitress was super nice. The chili dog omelette was awesome and the biscuits and gravy were even better. Do your self a favor and get the half order unless you plan to share. So good. Can’t wait to come again.

Went to Lancaster to meet up with friends and finally got there at lunch time. I heard of this mystical prime rib at crazy Otto’s. Now I don’t count my self as a So Cal food snob, but shoe leather is not my game. Cathy got the prime and eggs, rare and sunny side up. I got the prime sandwich, rare too. The meat was very lean, hardly any fat in the meat. It was VERY tender. Both plates of food were dead-on cooked perfectly. Jenny was our server and she did a great job. It was still in the lunch rush but she kept tabs on us. I saw a little pride in Jenny’s eyes when we ordered the prime ribs, I guess they know a good thing too. The greatest part of all this was that these nice sized plates of food were very affordable. For that 15 oz steak Cathy got, we’d pay close to 45 – 60 down here. At Otto’s, 19 bucks.

Great food, hard to leave hungry. Unfortunately, the last couple times we have been there, we have received our meals cold or lukewarm at best. First time, I figured must be a fluke, as they had been great for years. Second time around I’m thinking something has changed? The kicker was that it took almost 10 minutes after receiving meal(what happened to checking on customers a few minutes after setting their food down ?) for someone to ask if I wanted heated up, at that point I was kind of done. They tried to almost insist on giving me a 20% discount, I didn’t want a discount. If they wanted me to pay for cold food, I figured that I would rather pay full price than than accept a discount. So that’s what I I did, but never again.

Perhaps the one known exception to Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle in physics is that any restaurant with a sign saying«Eat» is invariably going to be good. This place of course follows that rule. Great ambiance and local flavor. True American comfort food at reasonable prices with very friendly waitresses. This is a remnant of how the American West used to be. There are still some remnants of Western Culture in the Antelope Valley and this is one of the places you will find it. It’s always a good thing when some of the clientele wear Cowboy hats. I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich just out of nostalgia for my childhood(you simply must order it with a tomato). It did bring back good memories of the drug store counters my family used to always eat at. While we are on Heisenberg, I can’t resist telling my favorite joke. A policeman stops Heisenberg for speeding in his car. As Heisenberg rolls down the window, the policeman says«Sir, do you know how fast you were going?», and Heisenberg says«No, but I know where I am.»
