Food is just mediocre. 1st time I tried the ham which was extremely dry. I couldn’t even eat it. Second time I went they were out of mac and cheese. Today, 3rd visit and I got the Westerner special. Sandwich was actually good. Staff was ok. The ordering process was a bit slow and they were not even busy. Tables were dirty. I don’t know if I’ll be back. Not a consistent product.

I’m really not a BBQ person but I heard from friends this place is good. I wish the cheese was melted over my steak potato. The meat was nice and tender. We had a half rack of ribs and beef brisket. Would definitely come by when in town again. Jorge liked the jalapeño beans but I didn’t get any jalapeño in it. It wasn’t even spicy. They should change the name… The temp of my food wasn’t as hot as I would want it. The room needs more circulation. The guy who took our order was sweating behind the counter. That was a bit icky to look at, considering it is a good joint. I read the reviews after agreeing to come. Fortunate for us, we had great service. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience.

I discovered Dickey’ when I moved into the area. This place definitely has some good bbq. It is a little pricey, which is why I mainly go when I receive a coupon either in the mail or in my email. They have plenty of sides to choose from and all of the sides are delicious(at least the ones that I’ve tried). They have three different bbq sauces to choose from. I enjoy their Sweet bbq sauce the bet. Their Sweet Tea is average compared to other sweet tea’s I’ve drank. My favorite part is the free ice cream machine.

Went here the other night with my family to support a fundraiser event for AV High School Drumline! I think our crowd brought in more people, this placed was packed. I passed by one night to check it out but saw only 2 people there during dinner time, hmmm was this place not that great? Since I’m a supporter of AVHS Drumline I had to go… And I was pretty impressed the staff was really nice, the beef brisket was really tender, the Cole slaw was how I make it at home, the mashed potatoes were great, the BBQ sauce had a lil kick to it! This is the place to go to hold a fundraiser! 15% goes to your organization!

Food was good it might have just need a bad day but my to go order took almost 30 Minutes plus a customer that called in an order came in and it wasn’t ready and his took close to 30 minutes he finally asked for his money back and left. They just seemed very unorganized and unprepared.

Looked clean when we entered and the guy at the counter was very friendly. The food was a bit pricey but good. The only issue I had was with my chicken being very dry(I ordered the 3 meat plate with chicken, pork and brisket) and the portions of meat seemed a skimpy for 20+ dollars with a drink.

Wife and I have been here a couple times and so far we are diggin’ the bbq. We have tried a few different meats and everything has been tasty and flavorful. The ordering process is a little different. You actually tell the person chopping/preparing the meat what you want, and then you move on to the area of the sides. After adding your selected sides to your order you move on to the register to order a drink and pay for your meal. They have a good variety on the menu, ranging from a large selection of meats and sides. Decent pricing on the items, and they have several different combos to order depending on what you want and how much of it. So far I have tried the pork ribs, beef brisket, hot links, and chedder/jalapeño sausage link. The ribs and brisket were very soft and tender, and I love how the meat just falls off the bone. The hot links were tasty and not too overpowering with the hotness. The chedder/jalapeño link had a nice kick to them. The wife really digs the hot links. The sides were a nice compliment to the meal. I tried the beans and fries, and the wife really likes the green beans. They have free soft serve ice cream for dessert, which is a nice bonus, especially for the kids. All of the employees and workers were friendly. In particular during our first visit, the girl chopping the meat and taking orders was very helpful. She helped my wife chose a dish and she took pride in her work and was very good at what she was doing. Only came across a few negatives so far, but overall we have had a pleasant visit every time. The floor in the dining area seemed to be greasy. Not sure if they need to do a good mop job or what, but it felt like there was a film covering the floor which had a slightly slippery feel to it. The lighting seemed a bit on the dark side. Not Darth Vader like dark side, but just a little dim in the seating area. It was like the glare from outside was brighter than the lighting inside.

I can honestly say the food is good but the service is completely horrible! We ordered our food online, when we got there and the cashier was on the phone and didn’t acknowledge the fact that we were there. we stood there for a while and no one asked us anything they just continued to do what ever they were doing. Till finally this older lady asked us how she can help us. We told her that we were there to pick up our food we ordered online and to my surprise they had not even started our order. When the cashier finally got off the phone she completely ignored us and helped the next guest behind us. We called her out on it and she she told us «relax I haven’t forgotten about you» how are we supposed to relax when we got there before this guy and our order wasn’t ready and she didn’t even make any kind of eye contact with us? Also for this place being new I found it to be pretty dirty. the refrigerator that they have with desserts looked sad and dirty. Honestly it looks like this place is being ran by lazy employees. I will never go to this place again.

We stopped 2 nights ago 30 min to close along with some other customers, not returning. Poor customer service & attitude & such confusion between coworkers on what to do & what they had in stock, constant«well I don’t know.. . Do we have stuff in the back? I don’t know I only checked for this one item.. .» Get it together & not make it obvious to the customers of your lack of communication & organization as other guests who were waiting in line were noticing the back & forth talk & hold up in line. The condiment table was disgustingly dirty with sauces spilt everywhere, their fountain drink was overflowing with ice & leftover beverages borderline spilling, their floor drain below their soda station was left uncovered & dirty any one can accidently step into it & cause serious injury. Their iced tea dispenser was uncovered & I peeked in to see if any left, it was practically full but that dispenser was AWFUL you can tell it hasn’t been scrubbed out in how many days with brown gooey build up in the there & no its not normal«iced tea residue». The trash recepticles looked like they hadn’t been cleaned the whole day.. . The gentlemen grabbing our ordered meat had a dirty messy shirt from his shift that kept getting close to touching our food on the counter. You notice things that are not kept clean visibly outside for customers, makes you wonder how they treat & keep their kitchen where food is even more important to watch over for spoilage. Surprised from all the 3Star + reviews & dissapointed perhaps adjustments with crew/management need to be made for night shifts. Would be willing to try different location, 1st impressions stay with you sorry guys.

Me and my fiancé decided to try Dickey’s in Lancaster for the first time and we were highly satisfied. We called in our order and picked it up about 20 minutes later. The food tasted great and fresh and it was a good amount of food for the price. Definitely was worth every penny. Staff was very polite and friendly. We will be returning soon.

I’m not not impressed with $ 16 meal that was just alright. The staff here however IS amazing and very friendly and quick. Message to owners or company… This is not a sit down restaurant atmosphere therefore prices for waiting in a line like chipotle for weighed meat should not be as high as they are. Could have went to Lucille’s for LESS money and been more satisfied… Take notice.

We arrived at opening on Saturday and were the second customer in the store. I know this place has recently opened it’s doors but we had to walk past a ladder where they were working on the exit sign right next to the entrance, rather odd that tis is taking place at opening. Staff greeted us as we walked up to the ordering counter and they were all pleasant. I ordered the 2 meat plate with sausage and ham with the sides of onion tangles and jalapeño beans. The wife ordered the rib plate, jalapeño beans and string beans. I should have been concerned when while waiting at the counter for our order, staff went to the freezer and grabbed a packet of the onion tangles and plopped it into the deep fryer and the oil was not frothing as I expected it to do. Staff was still bringing food items(sides) serving ladles etc. to the counter line. After waiting several minutes at the counter with drink cups in hands we decided to grab a seat. As we went to grab our drinks we found it had no ice so we mentioned it to staff and they went and started to load the machine with ice. Alongside we watched as an employee was getting the ice cream dispenser ready. All of the seems to me should have been ready as the doors open for business. When our order arrived I found a bag of an oily sodden mess that must have been the onion tangles that were at best warm. The sausage and ham were both at room temperature. I saw the staff pull the sausage out of the warming oven right behind the order counter but it must have not been on until they opened the doors at 11am. My wifes ribs were also slightly warm. The jalapeño beans were good and the right temperature. Is it just me or should we all expect to have an eatery ready for business at opening bell with ovens hot, deep fryers ready to fry, drink dispensers up and running and employees ready to prepare your order instead of setting up for the day. All in all, this place is an unorganized mess that really needs their management to step in and have it be ready for business before the doors open. I think I’ll pass on this eatery unless they can get their act together before it’s too late.

I have had great ‘que all over the state and so far the # 1 choice for me is The Smokin’ Pig in San Jose. Well I can save the travel money because the best in So Cal goes to Dickey’s In Lancaster. Stopped in there tonight for dinner and wife and I both got the Rib plate. Not fall off the bone which to me is terrible but so tender and juicy it is begging to be gently coaxed off the bone. The smoke is obvious in the meat without overpowering, my wife hates it when there’s too much smoke, and the bark is done quite well. Got the BBQ beans and slaw for sides and both were very good. Wife got the Green beans and bacon which was flavored well but a bit watery along with the cesaer salad. The hot line is efficient but sometimes needs to pay more attention to the customers. We mentioned a couple of times that our order was to eat in but they packed it to go. No big deal as at least we had our doggie package at the start but not what we ordered to start with. My only complaint which I feel(hope) will be worked out is the Coordination of customer service and supplies. The drink bar ran out of forks early and had to be refilled. Ice tea ran out which was no big deal but otherwise it was good for a start up week. I hope they make it through the tough times ahead and emerge through the other side ready to be in Lancaster for a long time. I seriously intend to be a helping hand in devouring all that great Que.
