Place is just ok but the food is amazing. Location is perfect if you are driving from LA to Mammoth/Yosemite. Had Ortega omlette, herb potatoes, bread toast and a shake. Loved all of them.

Food was great, over priced menu, some of the worse service I have ever experienced. Will never go back because of the horrible service.

Unexpectedly amazing food! We stopped here on the way to Yosemite. From the outside this place did not look that good. But the food! Oh my god! It’s so amazing! The omelette, the sandwich, the milkshake, the herb potatoes, everything was amazing!

Nice place with a family atmosphere. I would like them to add grits or polenta to the menu. Also it was be nice for my not see a billion receipts at the counter. It’s a little untidy looking.

Service is horrible and all of our food came out at different times. My poached eggs are hard and dry. My moms eggs were cold and every piece of our meal came out at different times!

Overall, pretty good experience. Service was a bit spotty at the beginning, but was much improved by halfway through our visit. Got our menus right away, but took at least 10 minutes for someone to come take our food order and bring our drinks. I think they noticed that we were being neglected because I kept looking around at one point, just waiting for someone to come to our table. There was a huge apology for the wait, and another apology 20 minutes later because there was a delay on our food, too. Aside from the delay, service was super friendly and very hospitable. From the moment we got our food, we were checked on multiple times and our drinks were constantly refilled. I recommend trying one of the omelette souffles. Get the herb potatoes instead of the hash browns. You also get a choice of a bakery item — the carrot walnut loaf is delicious! Location is in the shopping center diagonal from Costco on Avenue L.

I have been here quite a few times. The food is consistently excellent. Whether breakfast or sandwiches, expect great food. The employees are great customer service representatives of the restaurant. This is my new favorite place!

BEWARE! Eating at Jackies will put you in a good coma. I ordered the Ortega Chile Soufle. I AMFULL. Do not attempt to operate heavy machinery after eating at Jackies Café. You have been fairly warned. Seriously though come hungry or stay home. The food here is delicious! The portions are generous. The service is AMAZING. Everything on the menu is a HOMERUN!

Great place for breakfast you can go all out or get a healthy one, like no carb breakfast. Great coffee, great staff, they’ll make any adjustments.

Best breakfast spot I’ve been to I a long time. Very friendly family atmosphere. The menu is large, but the food is awesome! We had the eggs with herb potatoes, and ham. And the Waffle sandwich. Loved it.

We were taking a trip to Death Valley, and looked for a restaurant on the way. We couldn’t find any decent choices in Mojave Desert, so we turned our car around to head back to Lancaster. Well, we’re certainly glad we did. The soufflé omelettes were BOMB! We ordered the bacon soufflé omelette and the chicken basil pesto soufflé omelette with the house herb potatoes and the raspberry coffeecake. We didn’t have to wait long like some of the reviews mentioned. The chicken basil pesto was almost a inch and a half tall and had tons of chicken inside. No skimping on ingredients on the bacon either. The herb potatoes were very good too. We were very hungry coming in, but we were so full we couldn’t even finish the coffeecake. Coffee, however fell short on my expectations. We’ll be visiting again next time we come through.

At first glance this place seems average. A polite and friendly staff served my family in a timely manor. We ordered a Philly cheese steak, BBQ roast beef and chicken fajita omelet. All three excellent! All three fresh and delicious. I will say the chicken was a little dry and the onion rings were just ok. That being said this is probably the best breakfast-lunch in town. :)

Absolutely love Jackie’s for breakfast, and I’m not even big on breakfast food. We have been here multiple times and have never had a bad experience. The service is always on point and the food is always excellent. I have tried at least three different types of omelets and they have all tasted great. I try and get something different every time, and so far my favorite is the crab omelet. That one is definitely a must try if you like seafood or crab. It’s a nice mix of crab, avocado, and mushrooms topped with hollandaise sauce. My wife is a fan of thier B.L.A.S.T. sandwich which she has ordered on more than one occasion. She loves that they have a wide variety of menu options, whether it be for breakfast or lunch. The one thing that sets Jackie’s apart from the rest are thier herb potatoes. Those things are so tasty and delicious. They blow every others restaurant’s country potatoes away by a mile. Jackie’s can get pretty busy, especially on weekends. I like that they can accommodate large parties. We have been here a couple times with 10+ people and we did not have a problem being seated. Overall an awesome restaurant with a huge menu of breakfast food and sandwiches. They also off bakery items as a side which is very cool.

Here’s a nice little café style breakfast café that has a family owned atmosphere. Jackies is a good option to visit if you’re looking for home style cooking and friendly service. Surprisingly enough it was a pretty busy buzz throughout and there is very little advertising about the restaurant. As cluttered as it is, it’s actually pretty clean. The plates were nicely organized and everything looked fresh as it came out. The menu is fairly large and for me a little too overwhelming, so I asked the waitress for her favorite. She pointed me to the California Eggs Benedict. They were pretty good. For the customer: Don’t be afraid to ask the staff what is good that day. Be adventurous and trust them. You would be surprised at how often they will give you something extremely fresh and tasty, even if it wasn’t your top choice. For the business: Your menu really is overwhelming and should be cut down by at least a third. The hollandaise sauce needs more lemon and cayenne. There should be a nice zip to it. I walked from Colombia Way and at no point saw a sign that pointed me to your direction. Your staff was great. I could even see the kitchen staff and I was impressed with how everyone handled the rush. Final thoughts. I would recommend this place and may even come back myself. Good job.

I just can’t get enough of these Mexican papas. Omg black beans, potatoes, guacamole, salsa, and sour cream. Don’t forget the tortillas. Yummmmmmm My hubby gets the eggs Benedict and they are perfectly poached every time.

Jackie’s is my go to breakfast place. Have eaten there lots of times, but have yet to have a bad meal there. I ordered the Vegetable Benedict with the Herb Potatoes. Delicious! Lots of hollandaise sauce, fresh veggies, crispy potatoes. My husband was enjoying the Tuna Sandwich(he loved it so much the last time, that he ordered it again). Nicely flavored tuna with fresh veggies, a homemade cookie and muffin. Service is also excellent, waiter kept checking on us without being intrusive. Will certainly recommend(and I have) and will without a doubt, be back.

I had breakfast with my family here today based on the reviews. This place didn’t disappoint! Their menu is pretty extensive. What caught my eyes were the omelet soufflé. I’ve never heard of or tried that. I ordered the bacon omelet soufflé with jack cheese, home fries and toast. The omelet was outstanding! It was so fluffy and tasty. Home fries were delish! I loved the seasonings they used. My husband got the 3 sausage omelet and he said it was good but that he’d get what I got next time lol. My daughter loves dinosaurs so we were excited to get her their dinosaur pancakes with eggs and bacon. She ate it all!(Note– she’s a toddler and a very picky eater). Service was great. They were attentive without being overbearing and the prices reasonable. I will say portion size is good. I am a huge fan of leftovers and took half of my order home for tomorrow. We will absolutely be back here!

Whoa, whoa, whoa! Hold your steel horses, 395⁄14 road trippers be alerted to this hidden spot in Palmcaster! Location: Freeway close near the intersection of West Avenue L(Costco) &10th Street West. It’s in the Carl’s Jr/Green Burrito shopping center(diagonal to Costco) on the far east end. Parking: Private lot in shopping center. Environment: Small newish shopping center, would never expect to find a café here. Interior is really simple & clean, has a diner feel. Plenty of booths & dinning tables/chairs that can easily accommodate large groups. I can picture this space filling up quickly during meal hours. Staff: Speedy & efficient. Ordering is swift and food arrives promptly. Food: We arrived in time for breakfast & must admit there were many options including veggie & other health conscious alternatives. Food was good & portions were inline w the price. Drinks were always topped off. WC: Separate stalls, spacious & clean.
