I have only visited this restaurant twice but can assure you I won’t be going back. My wife and I joined the Yoshinoya Bowler Club and with that we were given a coupon for«buy one bowl and get one of equal or lesser value for free». The girl at the counter looked at it, looked at me and immediately asked for my drivers license. I am a 59 year old realtor and was dressed very professional with my name badge on in plan site. I asked her why I needed to show my drivers license but then she started going from employee to employee asking what this coupon was. The manager Aerial came out and he didn’t even know what the coupon was for. Then he finally asked what I would like and as I told him my order which was two bowls, he interrupted me and explained that I can only get one bowl for free. I told him that was all I was attempting to do is buy one get one free. He also didn’t know what the coupon actually was or what it even said. I told him this was terrible customer service and I would let Unilocal know how the customer service here was. He looked at my name badge, said ok Mike, I will go on Unilocal and tell them what a terrible realtor you are. I couldn’t believe this guy was the manager. So I asked him, you mean your going to go onto Unilocal and say bad things about my business just to get even with me and he admitted that’s exactly correct. I requested the corporate phone number and he gave me some funky number that I called over and over for two days leaving my name and number and his store number but no return call. I finally went online and looked up the corporate phone number and gave them a full complaint yesterday. Wow, you just never know what your going to run into. I do like the food, but what a terrible manager and what uninformed staff. I am fairly sure that the corporate office won’t be doing anything about this but we all have a right to let our fellow citizens know who offers good and who offers bad customer service. Thanks for Unilocal

Last time I ate here I was pregnant. I craved cabbage all the time and this was my go to place for it. Forward to 2 years I came in today to try the shrimp. I got the big portion to share with my child and it seems that they are a little stingy with their meats and shrimp. Overall the food was delicious the veggies are to die for. They really need to work on their portions. Her daddy got the chicken and he said the same thing that there wasn’t enough chicken. Rice was cooked to perfection nice and fluffy. I have left over rice and veggies for tomorrows lunch.

Where to start? This place is awful! First of all, for a Japanese restaurant, this place doesn’t have hardly anything Japanese. The menu is painful(tilapia?, orange chicken?). Worse is that it is filthy dirty. The walls are marked with holes and filth. The young lady at the counter kept getting our order wrong and seemed very timid and mostly mumbled. When I reported to the manager that my order was wrong and asked her to correct it, she said it would just be easier to give me a refund as they were closing soon and didn’t want to have to remake the order. Unreal! I have been to a Yoshinoya in the LA area and it was nothing like this.

Very disappointed with the customer service at this location. I came in place a huge order and when I got home there was a hair on my food! I drove 20mim out of my time back informed the cashier who was a man but on the receipt it had the host name as Sarah!!! That there was a hair he didn’t even care charged me full price again for another bowl!!! Very rude and poor customer service!!!

Apparently no one in the AV has tried Mom’s Teriyaki bowl! Yoshinoya is by far the worst teriyaki bowl I’ve ever had. Their food tastes like plastic. That is my honest opinion. I feel like people out here have yet to experience what a great bowl is like and therefore think that this place is something special and its not. As for the food quality, I would rate is –10 if I could. It is literally disgusting!!! Try Mom’s teriyaki bowl on the East side by the DMV, you won’t be disappointed. I will never return to this place. There is no quality.

Best service. Kind smiles and friendly customer interactions. It may be small but the food re always cook fresh :). My guy friend comes here to see this cute girl that just got hired. She was very nice and talked to us even though she was working at the back. I didn’t get a hold of her name but made my friends smile. Kudos!

Great restaurant! The service is great, what I like the most is the manager is very engaged with customers and his workers and that is always for me the make it or break it.

Good Yoshinoya, I have to stop here when I’m in the area visiting friends. Very friendly and helpful staff. The thing I like about it best is that it’s affordable. I mostly enjoy Yoshinoya in my neighborhood late and night. But this one out here is much better. I have to say stop by give it a chance if you’ve never tried it. You won’t regret it.

I used to eat at Yoshinoya all the time when it first opened. I stopped going for a long time and finally went back yesterday, boy was I disappointed. The chicken was way over-cooked and dry and the veggies were not fresh but from a bag of frozen veggies. I don’t plan on returning. The thing I used to like was that everything was fresh but I guess that’s no longer the case.

Good, fresh Japanese cuisine at reasonable prices. Not the most consistent; sometimes the chicken’s deliciously moist with fantastic sauce, sometimes you get nothing but fat. I love the beef bowl, though, especially for the price. And the grilled tilapia with cole slaw is amazing.

I don’t know why but i friggen love Yoshinoya! Maybe its the disgustingly mushy vegetables, or the strangely flavored mystery meat they say is beef, or that yummy chicken teriyaki. I LOVEIT! Bottom line is its great food, fills me up, and digests easily. And all that food and the prices aren’t too high. I always get the combo bowl. Eat it. You’ll love it. Vida is a very nice lady at the register.

Sarah needs to grow a personality. Get one thing straight, your not as special as you make yourself out to be. Slow down, smile, and get with it. Food is ok, this Yoshi gives less meat than others. Also, wings are overpriced here compared to the nearby Yoshi in Palmdale.

Wasn’t impressed. The chicken was all fatty pieces with hardly any meat. Haven’t been back since

We stopped by here this evening for dinner since the place was recommended by my boyfriend’s brother, and we were glad we did. While its still just fast food, the service is good, the place was clean and easily accessed, and the food was tasty. I had the terriyaki chicken bowl, and my boyfriend got the beef bowl with vegetables. We both ordered the large bowls, but the regular ones would have been plenty. Neither of us finished our food, and I ate more than I should have– can we say big fat food baby in my stomach right now? Anyway, as I said, the food was tasty, though the sauce on mine was maybe a touch too sweet and my boyfriend said his could have used some sauce, but overall good stuff. This will be added to our list of places we both like and I’m sure we’ll be back soon! Great first impression.

Two Words: Shut up. Two more words: Beef Bowl. Now shut up and enjoy that beef bowl! Try a beef bowl with clam chowder drenched on top like a creamy, delicious sauce. I’m hungry again… Yummmm, YOSH!

I really dig this place. They know how to run the business — the customer service is amazing! You’re not even done ordering the food, they already bringing it to you. I was like«damn you can read my mind?».lol. So if you are craving for a quick japanese food — this is the place to go! and yes! I order one to go too… hehehe.

I am so flippin excited that they are finally here! I love Yoshinoya. I grew up on beef bowls when I lived in the valley. I have been here a few times since they have opened up now, and I can honestly say that this is the best Yoshinoya I have ever been to. The service is quick and efficient. The cashiers are all super nice as well. I can hardly finish filling my cup at the soda fountain before they call my number. The quality of food at this particular location is the best I have had out of any of the other locations, hands down. I usually order the large beef bowl with veggies and a side of teriyaki sauce. Every other location I have been to uses frozen veggies. This location uses fresh steamed vegetables. Its highly worth the price. ALSO, Im not sure if all the locations have changed, or its just this one, but the portions on the large bowl are about twice as much as I am used to. Yay Yoshinoya!

I have very fond memories of Yoshinoya from when I lived in Japan. This ubiquitous little fast food joint, is equally popular with«salarymen» and college kids alike. It is a standard fare of Japanese style donburi bowls consisting of your choice of chicken terriyaki, beef terryiaki, or steamed vegetables over a bed of Japanese sticky rice. Yoshinoya is the largest chain of beef bowl(or gydon) restaurants and one of the Japanese chains of fast food, which was established in Japan in 1899. Its motto is «Tasty, low-priced, and quick». The founder of the company, Eikichi Matsuda, was from the former town of Yoshino in Osaka Prefecture, and there is a predominant belief that it is the origin of the name, and the letter(ya) means«house.» The letter(yoshi) means«good fortune» and(no) means«field.» You can also order yaki-udon noodles if you’re not feeling like a rice bowl. They also have the standard side dishes of miso soup, Gyoza, and several other Japanese goodies. I find the new Lancaster location to be quite adequate. The service is fast and friendly, the food is fresh, and I enjoyed every tasty mouthful. If you go, don’t expect anything fancy. This is Japanese fast food at its most basic. THEYDONOTPRETENDTOBEFANCY, SODONOTGOINTHERETHINKINGYOUWILLGETFANCYFOOD! It is simple, and fast, and good. All those things busy Japanese people on the go love!
