I came here last December for an eye exam. I waited for over an hour in the dirty lobby. (To give you an idea of the atmosphere the receptionist told me the office has a problem with the transient population using the facility as a place to hang out throughout the day.) The doctor was kind, if not overly chatty and ineffective. He spent ten to fifteen minutes asking me about my pregnancy and my plan for delivery (personal), then tried to talk me into not wearing contacts for six months for no apparent medical reason. (strange).The nurse incorrectly wrote down the time of my follow-​up appointment.
Since these appointments I’ve ordered contacts and glasses from other companies. When these companies called to confirm my prescription, the hull eye center seemed unable to confirm. It took over a week for them to confirm the prescription for contacts. After two weeks, several calls from the company, and a call from me personally they still haven’t confirmed my prescription for glasses.
I cannot wait until I enter a new year for my insurance and am able to transfer to another optometrist. Save yourself the trouble. Run far away!

I have been going here for years and really like it. The wait is very quick. It’s not over crowded, the staff is great. Dr. Smith is very personable and knows his stuff! Knocked my itchy contact problem out in 2 seconds. I recommend to anyone.

The doctors here are great. Dr. Smith was wonderful. My problem with this place is the wait times. Be prepared to wait for a least an hour after checking in. Llittle old but the doctors and staff make up for the old equipment

I went here once. I got my prescription eye glasses from a year before the eye exam at Hull Eye Center. I do yearly exam for my eyes and I knew that my eyes progress from the current prescriptions I currently have. My insurance recommended this place so I went. The lobby wasn’t really pleasant and stuffy. It was super busy! The wait was extremely long! They finally called me and the technician did all the little things prior to actual exam. It took another 50minutes for the doctor to walk in. He finally came in asked me if I’m interested with lasik surgery and I said that depends. I have never had a doctor to asked me if I’m interested with a procedure let alone an eye surgery before examining me and looking at my history. He asked me what my decision to get lasik depends on. I told him cost and if my eyes is stable. I knew it wasn’t because i could tell my glasses are a lot weaker within just a years time. He then asked me if it is stable would i consider getting it done and i said yes. He did a quick exam and said yes it is the same as my current one and really insisted i book the consultation for lasik which is $ 100 just to consult. I didn’t go through with it. We moved to Apple Valley and my husband got his eye exam with a doctor he found here who is so great and never push anything for you to buy. I decided I want to recheck my eyes. Its’s only been 3 months since I got my exam done at Hull Eye Center. The new doctor told me I’m 2 levels worst than the glasses i’m using and i might want to consider getting new ones. I knew I was right that it wasn’t the same. I wasted my insurance coverage at this place and ended up having to pay out of pocket for re-​chek at a different place but I’m glad I got a rechecked.
Bottom line is, I felt they didn’t care. The lady at the desk isn’t very nice either. The info was misleading. I would not recommend this place.

I have been here a few times for ophthalmologist and optometrist visits. The doctors and their staff are quite knowledgeable and very friendly. I’ve been treated by both Drs. Sampson and Geyer and I would highly recommend both — for their expertise and their personalities.
They are busy. They have a large waiting room. I would suggest a book to kill some time while you wait. I’m not always so patient about waiting, but Hull Eye Center is worth it.

I have given Hull Eye Center TWO opportunities to prove to me that they give a hoot about my eyes! Struck out both times and most definitely will not ever go back.
1. If the doctor is an impatient type who doesn’t want to spend the time to explain prescriptions or procedures to me, let me know up front.
2. If the technicians aren’t trained ahead of time to warn me when they are going to test my eyeball pressure with a strong sudden shot of air straight into the eyeball, let me know up front. That way, I won’t practically end up on the floor in cardiac arrest from the shock, refusing to allow the tech to do the same with the other eye. Essentially, this particular but important test was not completed because I was so freaked out.
3. If the eyeglass shop is too busy — as it has been every time I’ve gone in there — to help me fill a prescription, let me know up front. If there aren’t enough employees to greet and help me, let me know!!! That way, I won’t walk around for weeks with an unfilled prescription.
In other words, if Hull Eye Center cares so little about me as a customer, LET ME KNOW UP FRONT so that I can avoid like the plague and spend my money elsewhere. Very bad experience — BOTH times :(

Mr. Picky and I have both had good experiences here. The wait can be excessively long, but the examination staff are very friendly and nice. And Dr. Sampson is suberb! They seem competent at this center and my impression is that they try to main state-​of-​the-​art equipment and process activity.

I have had two cataract eye surgeries at this clinic and now go there every year for my eye exams and glasses prescriptions. The staff are professional and friendly. The exams rooms are always clean. This place is always busy so appointments must be made well in advance but the doctors don’t appear rushed during the examine and always take time to explain things to me. This is a full service eye clinic that I would recommend to anyone.
