We totally love this place. Great food, prices & service. I especially like their cashew chicken. My husband & I have eaten there multiples times. I also choose that as the place for girl’s lunch out.

If you want good Chinese food and are in the AV, go here. Everything is made fresh and the food is delicious, not to mention it’s inexpensive and great quality. The hot and sour soup is always a must whenever my family and I go. We always try to pick new dishes each time, and we’ve never left disappointed. If you’re on a time crunch, call in advance and they’ll have all your food ready to pick up, since they can get really busy.

Won’t find better mandarin food in the AV. It’s fresh, the service and people are great. You wait while they cook it. I saw some comments about not being sure of the cafeteria atmosphere I get it and the shopping in front is kinda weird but I’ve seen this before at Chinese restaurants. Definitely recommend trying it

Yummy food, great lunch specials. The best potstickers in the AV and the shrimp in lobster sauce is delicious. I recommend this place highly but go with time because food takes it’s time and more if you’re ordering their yummy potstickers.

Yummy! Had lunch family style. There were 5 of us. $ 60. Even leftovers to take back to our co workers at the office. Prolly enough for 2 or 3 more. Delish!

One of the few places in the AV where I’ll eat oriental food. I absolutely love the sizzling rice soup! The food is good, the price is cheap, and it’s right on the Blvd, so if you’re out shopping it’s really convenient! They’ve made some changes in the last year or so, clearing out the knickknack sale area, which I think is a HUGE improvement.

Horrible just horrible! We ordered cashew chicken! It was salty, bland and didn’t taste good at all! Not authentic Chinese food at all! Our waitress was curt, blunt and mean! We will not be eating at this Resturant, again! Ever!!! Nasty food! yuck!

We went for my birthday after reading the reviews and we were really disappointed! The vegetables in the sizzling rice soup tasted frozen, there was only beef and noodles in the beef chow mein, the shrimp in lobster sauce was bland, the pot stickers flavor was good but the noodles fell apart and there was a hair cooked into one. It was worse than Panda Express. The first clue should have been the purses and jewelry sold in the front. If you want better chinese food, go to Great Wall off Ave J and 20th West.

A little like an awkward, but good-tasting trip to the Twilight Zone. Yes, food was great but slow. However, being new to Antelope Valley from San Fernando Valley I cannot help but marvel at the shoes for sale protruding into the front lobby from the attached store next door. That’s a turn-off. Really lives down to the hick AV stereotype. Also, place could use a complete updating: old ceiling tiles, weird booths, Beatles playing loudly on bad sound system. Pretty weird. Looks like it was built in 1972 and never changed a thing. Yeah, we’ll go back. We’ve given up on finding truly«fine dining» here in the AV, though. Good thing the houses are cheap.

Forward some years(and a fire next door) later: still good for take-out, prices seem to have gone but slightly upwards, but as far as the dine-in ambiance, four words: THEYSELLSHOESTOO. Not my taste, maybe too Chinatown-ish with the actual sale of non-food items in the same area as where you eat. Imagine Italian shoes being displayed in the dining area of Olive Garden/Macaroni Grill? Somewhat bizarre.

Best Chinese food I’ve had Period! I always get the orange chicken and friend rice. And their potstickers! Always good, always crispy. Definitely will come back and enjoyed it a lot!

FAVORITECHINESERESTURANT I personally dont eat much chinese except panda, but this place is incredible. They give you a great amount for the price unlike panda who literally gives me only one scoop of rice or food. whereas here they piled my take out tray till it was full! Everyone there is so incredibly nice always asking me if i need anything. Such a good food place! & although daisy’s costume fire caused them to be closed for a long period of time, I am so happy with the remodel!

I like the place. At first, didn’t think much of the place. its grown on me. if its just the food, its good for take home. Food for what you pay for is a steal. Other places offer more variety and more food; however, the portion is just right What wins me over is the blonde haired Asian lady. She is a dynamo. Often. No. all the time, she covers all the tables. She serves 8 to 10 tables all the time. She is the queen of multitasking. This pixie flies from table to kitchen to register to table while taking a phone order it’s something to watch. Some question why don’t they hire another person on staff. Maybe money, I times of corporate thinking to be efficient and effective, but i say Support the Local Mom and Pop. In a hurry to get your grub on, don’t come here. If you are in a hurry, than choosing a fast food like Panda Express may be better. If you want to listen to some oldies and have good Chinese food than come here. This is a place where I sat and listened to million dollar deals get hammered out in the next booth. Watched kids play I spy. Where the waitress will remember your name and order before She gives the menu. This true Mom and Pop shop is one truly deserving patronage. To sum up, just come here to watch her during rush hour. Food is worth the wait. Leave a nice tip for her because she earns it. Patronize this shop they provide a good product.

Hands down the best Chinese food in the AV. We order different things every time we go and have not been disappointed yet. The best food I have had on the boulevard.

Will definitely be back. Kind servers and amazing food! The price is fair for the quality that you get. I had the Mongolian Beef lunch special. It came with fried rice, soup, and an egg roll. It was probably the best version of this dish I have had. My fiancé had the Orange Chicken combo and he literally closed his eyes on his first bite. Grabbed a To-go menu and already plans to order them this week.

This restaurant has been on my to try list for several months and I finally had the opportunity to stop in for lunch. I arrived when the place opened and was told that I could sit wherever I liked. I took a seat and the lunch menu was handed to me. When the server returned I ordered the Pork with Garlic Sauce lunch special which includes Soup(Egg Flower on this visit) and is served with rice(Fried or Steamed), and an Egg Roll. I ordered a Thai Tea for my beverage. Although an older structure everything appeared clean and I would guess that there is seating for approximately 60 at a combination of booths and tables. When I first entered the restaurant I thought I was entering a boutique by mistake because the first thing I saw was a table of costume jewelry and to my left was and assortment of hats, bags, trinkets, and assorted baubles for sale. At the rear of the restaurant through the double doors you will find what was once an auxiliary dining area that now functions as a shoe shop. So if you are hungry but also need a watch and a pair of shoes you now know where to go! After about 5 minutes the Egg Flower soup was brought out, it was good and had a bit of a kick to it. Just as I was finishing the soup my main course was brought out, it was still steaming when the server sat it down on the table. It looked and smelled good, tasted good too and for the price I thought it was a good value. I was full when I finished. The Thai Tea was also good but not as good a value as the lunch special. The glass was rather small for the price, some places offer refills on their Thai Tea and others don’t, I wasn’t offered one here. Overall I was satisfied with Little Szechwan, the inclusion of items for sale was a little odd but it’s the food that mattered to me and on that front I was satisfied. While I was eating I saw a couple of people come in not to eat but to shop for shoes, whatever works I suppose.
