Luque Optometry

Best experience I have ever had with an eye doctor. Dr Lucque took the time to go over every single aspect of my exam. There was only one other staff member who checked in patients and performed preliminary exams with great competence and speed. I also saw this staff member interact with random walk-​in customers and she was very professional and courteous.

I think I found my new optometrist in the Antelope Valley.
When I first called, I spoke to Bridget. She was super helpful and did everything she could to answer my questions. I had some insurance issues but she was able to give me pricing and could have fit me in that same day (it was a Saturday). Unfortunately, I couldn’t make it in that day.
I was able to make it in for an appointment on a Thursday morning. I arrived early so that I could fill out some paperwork. The reception area was neat, clean, and tidy. Walking in, you’d have no idea that it was in the same building as a large «everything» store. It’s completely separate, which made me very happy. With the off chance of children possibly waiting, they already had a recent and relevant children’s movie playing.
After my initial exam by the receptionist, I was walked into the exam room and saw Dr. Luque within MINUTES of sitting down. I expected to be there for a bit so I was about to bring my phone back out to continue a book I was reading; didn’t get the chance. =) Dr. Luque did my exam and was very nice. When it was completed, she voiced her concerns and didn’t treat me like a child (I have a bad habit of sleeping with my contacts still in). I was able to get a new glasses and contact lens prescription and walked out with a new set of contacts. I’d done a little research on an affordable brand that was similar to Acuvue Oasys and that was the brand she recommended.
I will definitely come back to her. The eye exam I had was a flat $ 89. I like to order my glasses online (they end up cheaper that way for me) so she was nice enough to put my PD (pupillary distance) on my prescription sheet. I was in and out within 30 minutes of my appointment time and didn’t feel the slightest bit rushed. I look forward to my next appointment with her.
