The building looks like a former post office or VFW post. Décor and seating is a bit formica stark with gigantic booths and seats; our booth could easily fit 4 – 5(6?) Kevin-sized people on each side. Service was slow. The sandwiches(A Rachel and a Ruben) were totally excellent. Large portions, Buttered, grill-toasted bread. Delicious. Their home-made cole slaw was also excellent, best i’ve had recently. Pricing was very fair. I liked it and will be back.

My husband and I really enjoy going to Sandees for breakfast. Close to home and within our walking distance. Seat yourself. Service varies depending on how busy they are. Food is good and they are fairly priced. We prefer to go to Sandees over Michaels bridge diner.

Love this little GEM!!! Way better then any other breakfast place nearby… Sandees is the place to go! Their French toast and pancakes are Soooo good!!! I love their belgian waffle with strawberries and whipped cream… banana pancakes and regular french toast! I also love their Eggs Benedict! Its delicious and a huge portion! Prices are great! Looks like a cafeteria setting and is always packed! Service can be good or bad… we have had both but the food always is great! They have awesome specials! Cant wait to return!

Went to Sandee’s about a month ago. Food was mediocre at best. Bacon was microwaved. Toast was cold. It wasn’t too busy but took an extremely long time to get my drink, never mind my food. I won’t be going back any time soon.

Sandee’s has great food! Portions are nice and big — I haven’t ordered anything that I don’t like yet. The only complaint is the ambiance… there is none. It is one big room which is loud and echo-y, certainly could work on that a bit. However, for the food and the prices, this is a good spot!

I first came here with my dad, who prefers this diner to Michaels, which is a few hundred yards down the street. It seems to get overlooked compared to michaels, so I wanted to give them a try… While the atmosphere and ambiance is not as fully developed as Michaels, I do think the food is better! The prices are also lower, partly due, I’m sure, to supply and demand and the much lower overheard this establishment enjoys. I am also impressed with their service. At micheals, you need to know the son of God to get a second cup of coffee. Here, they are constantly re-filling your cup, and catering to your needs. That’s big for me. We pay a premium to eat out specifically for these services, so they should be attentive. One more thing: I’ve never had to wait here. At michaels, it’s not uncommon to wait in a line longer than waiting for the«space mountain» ride. The restaurant is also set up with fairly open areaS, so that everyone waiting leers at you, and is constantly watching and scrutinizing your every move as they wait for a table. That’s not enjoyable. Overall, I like Sandee’s, and this is my new«go-to» breakfast place in this area.

I really enjoy the atmosphere here. The waitresses are friendly. The food is delicious. I LOVE the home fries. I also love their omelets. It’s not fluffy where the ingredients fall everywhere. They are prefect. The cranberry walnut pancakes are also a good choice. The only downfall is there is not a lot of parking for a busy sunday, but we wait for a spot!

I go there often. Every time you know what to expect. Good food and better service. Regardless of how busy they are, the wait staff manages to pay utmost attention to all of their patrons keeping them satisfied. The prices are reasonable, and the specials are plentiful. It is nice to know that you can go in and have something that you’ll enjoy on the varied specials menu. From an egg dish to some sort of French Toast dish, the list will generally have everyone covered. Favorite. Breakfast. Ever.

The food is good. Service could be better. Hours of operation are awful. You never know when they going to be open. The hours of operation need to be consistent.

The wait staff at Sandee’s is very kid friendly and attentive. They just re painted and decorated inside and it looks great.

We tried sandees as an alternative to the bridge diner today. The inside is kinda meh and cold, but for breakfast not the end of the world. The service was polite and pleasant and the food was quick, but… the food was… well…just bad. Being our first time there, we didn’t dig deep into the menu, just had standard sausage, eggs and bacon. The eggs were runny, the bacon tasted reheated from earlier in the week and the sausage had some kind of strange hard bone/cartilage filler that snuck up in every couple bites(gross). Very underwhelming experience.

After moving to the neighborhood I was excited to see a Groupon for Sandees pop up. There were no restriction dates so I pulled together some family and we tried to go for a late breakfast at 11:15. We were rudely told that breakfast was over so we left. Next comes Easter morning and we tried again — knowing full well that it might be crowded on a holiday and prepared to wait. I told the person working the«list» for tables that we had a Groupon and was told no problem. Then when the bill came the waitress informed us that they were not taking Groupons that day — after we ate. The food was ok nothing special. I was embarrassed in front of friends and paid the bill. In the state of Massachusetts it is illegal to not honor a gift certificate that has no black out dates. I tried to contact the owner and never heard back. Eventually before the Groupon expired we tried to use it a third time and were told again that we couldn’t. Groupon refunded my money and I will never be back. Management and ownership needs a crash course in customer relations or this restaurant will never make it. I won’t be back and I live only 1 mile away.

After reading some mixed reviews we decide to take a risk and give our regular breakfast place a rest, and mix it up with a little Sandee’s action. One thing that I’ve come to realize it that the«greasy spoon breakfast place» category is the harshest judged type of restaurant on Unilocal.People want there food fast, cheap, and everyone has their own issues on how their Favorite breakfast item should be done, and god forbid it’s not the same twice. Also the fact the critic hasn’t had their morning coffee or /and is hung over may be part of the harsh reviews. That being said, I have been here three times so far, and each time the foods been great. It’s always busy but the food comes our fast enough. They’re always spot on with my eggs. I get them over medium, so many place under cook them and that’s just not cool. Home fries vary from great to very good. That combined with the fact that the two of us walk out of there for under $ 20 bucks make this place a winner in my book.

Took my family out to breakfast and they decided on this place. Now, they had been here before and really enjoyed the food. However, due to terrible service I was never able to try the food, and will never return. My family and I arrived at Sandee’s on a Sunday around 11:40 am. When we arrived, the place was not very busy. I had a party of six, and we entered the place. The place is pretty spread out — it is just one big room with benches around the outside, tables in the middle, and a small bar area in the front. It looked pretty clean and nice. Unfortunately, there was only 1 table for a party of 5 or more. Since the place was half full(or less), we asked if we could move two tables together. However, we were told that no tables could be moved together on Sunday. They said that my family would have to split up and not sit together. At this point, the rest of my family left, but I asked to speak with a manager and/or owner. I finally was directed to the«managing» waitress/girl who said that they were not allowed to put tables together due to the fire code — there has to be a certain amount of space and access area. Now, this would have been an adequate response… had it been the truth. I have a legal education and work for the administration department for another company. I am very comfortable with working with fire codes — a building to building inspection. Never in my life have I heard that there was a fire code law for a building on SUNDAYONLY. Furthermore, there was so much open space that I highly doubt there was a fire code issue. I mean, there was 2 short tables by the 1 long table and we were going to push those 2 short tables together. If 1 long table was already allowed in the area, it should be fine. Even if not, the other side of the room surely could have had 1 long table. In a time with an economy so bad, I find it really hard that a business would be turning away people — especially a party of 6… that is a lot of $ and tips. Moreover, they did not even ask us if we wanted to wait or give us any type of reassurance. I would have thought at the very least they would have said«Well we only have 1 table to accommodate you which is full right now, but if you wouldn’t mind waiting we will get you in ASAP.» There was none of that. The more I think about it, the service was just RUDE. So while the food there may or may not be good, this message is an FYI for any party of 5+.

Sandee’s used to be a 5 star place, but lately the food takes FOREVER to come out of the kitchen. The price is right, and the food is great, but with so many breakfast options around, Sandee’s needs to fix their issues or we’ll be looking elsewhere for our eggs and coffee.

This place was really good! I had their homemade chicken & rice soup and it was incredible! For my meal I had their breakfast sandwich on a rioche roll which was fresh and delicious. The service was friendly and fast, though I didn’t feel rushed. Next time I’m in Clinton, I would go there again.

Thought I’d go middle of the road on this one as 1 breakfast was good and the other not so much. We’d passed Sandee’s the previous day heading to a different and made a note that we’d have to come back. We were happy to see that they were still serving breakfast as that seems to be our nemesis these days. The place was nearly empty and seemed strange to have such a wide open space with not too many tables and then to only have two table occupied. We grabbed a booth and looked over the menu. The waitress was friendly and quick to come by to get our drink order. After making our choices, we sat the menus on the corner of the table to let our server know we were ready to order. I picked the Eggs Blackstone which was under the Eggs Benedict heading. It was an English muffin topped with a tomato slice, applewood bacon, poached eggs and covered in hollandaise. It came with a side and I got extra tomato slices. It was quite good but I’m not sure that I’d go back just for that one dish as it’s a simple enough one to make or get elsewhere. My partner got two eggs over-medium, bacon, toast and home fries. The toast seemed like it was an order that was made for someone last week and forgotten and then appeared in the order window so it was served. Biting into it made it burst into a pile of crumbles. There’s no one way to make my partner more upset than by screwing up the toast. The eggs were also underdone so more than half was not eaten and the home fries just didn’t taste good. We both agreed that the bacon was fantastic but bacon alone can not make a good breakfast.

Came back, and ate really good food, for really cheap, again. They have renovated, but it’s still really basic inside. My inner Martha Stuart got to thinking how they could rearrange things, and make it more homey. They have added a juke box, and an ice cream bar. Another notable, is that they have started to make their own homemade potato chips. And, that is a Good Thing, to be sure.
