Just passing through and was fortunate enough to find TNJs on Unilocal.GREATFOOD! I know what you are thinking«it’s in a gas station» DON’T LETTHATSTOPYOU! This place is worthy of Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives. Come on Guy you need to go here for sure. My wife had the Philly and I had the Pastrami both were on point. We shared a chili cheese fries which I really can’t describe because the chili was amazing and sometimes you can’t put words to perfection. Thanks to the Owner who was great and offers a friendly staff and great products. Next time I’m in the area I’m trying the tri-tip for sure.

Saw them at the bacon blues and brew event, great food. The cook and order taker were very friendly. Had a long line within minutes of being ready. Going to visit their location and update review. After reading these tho looks like I gotta try the tritip and chili fries.

This is one of the best kept secret in the AV. Yes, it’s connected to a gas station. One would approach this place with very low expectations due to its location. You couldn’t be more wrong. You get an amazing, cooked to order meal with huge portions for about what you would pay for shit at a fast food place. If this was a regular restaurant with waitress and maybe a couple ballgames on TV, you would easily pay twice as much. Out of about seven or eight visits, I haven’t been disappointed once. Food has always been amazing, prices are more than reasonable and the staff is always friendly. Sometimes it takes a little longer when he gets busy, but a small price to pay for awesome food. If you’re in a hurry, call in your order and it’s ready when you get there. I can’t say enough about this place, five stars all day long!

My first visit I ordered the tri tip sandwich, assuming it could be a standard bbq sandwich. Unfortunatly it had just mayo, horseradish, lettuce tomato and grilled onions with tri tip. Condiments I do not enjoy. The clerk asked how I liked the meal as i attempted to scrape off horseradish, and mentioned he likes it with their homemade ranch and bbq. Long story short he remade my samdwich and then it was yummy! I didnt like the fact that they didnt use gloves or hair nets and their attire wasnt professional, that is where the 4 stars is coming from.

Try the chili! This place is amazing. I was here for a tournament and ordered the chili. The best. This guy apparently has never lost a chili tournament. Former chef from Reno — and the food shows. Quick service, nice staff, generous portions of home-cooked food.

Fries are out of this world delicious! Thousand island(my favorite) is spot on best in the AV! And the cheeseburger gives in and out a run for their money! Its nice to find good food in the AV still! This is a small business so be patient with them, they are totally worth it!

What can I say… Just bad bad service. I can’t believe how rude the service was by some some what young guy with a. Goatee. So I go in. As i walk up to the counter the only guy working says«it’s gonna be like 30 – 40 minutes before i can take your order. I have a big phone order» So I said. No worries. I can wait. 55 min later. Now i can order. I asked for tri tip. He has non. Ok. I’ll have the chili cheese fries. He has non. Now at this point. I’m still understanding. Ok. Its three hours before closing. Well at this point it about an hour and a half. I ask for the pastrami sandwiche. I asked what the price was because u had some cash. He blurted out«I have to add tax to all hot food» Really? I will never spend another dime at that place. He raised his voice to cut me off. I wasn’t done asking him something. So at the end i spent 70 minutes. Just to walk out empty handed and upset.

T n J’s has great, friendly service. The philly cheese steak was delicious with tons of flavor. They have a special recipe for it that really gives it a style of its own. Their menu looks amazing. I can’t wait to go back and try the tri tip sandwich.

My husband and I went to Lancaster for a family funeral last year. we were starving and also depressed from the unfortunate event. On our way back, we saw this place next to the gas station. The place looks clean and no one was eating there, but we decided why not give it a try. I am very glad we tried the place. The owner and the staffs were so attentive to us and the service we received were outstanding for such a small fast food joint. The food taste comforting, something that warms your heart and ease your pain after a devastating situation. This place may not be a luxury, but it’s in this sort of difficult moment that an act of kindness and delicious comforting food made you realize there is still something in the world worth living for.

I’ve been working nonstop and needed a break so I swung by and ordered a cheese burger. The staff is friendly and busy grilling they took my order and got me my drink fast. The burger was cooked perfectly juicy the lettuce tomato onion more crisp and fresh the fun was toasted nicely the fries were amazing everything I needed to get me going. Definitely a good stop for a bite to eat

I came here based on a recommendation from my husband. I got their 1⁄3 lb burger and some fries to go. The order took a little long to make– I waited about 15 min for my food. The fries are natural cut. Mine were tasty but a little overcooked. I asked for a hamburger and said no on the cheese when she asked. However it had cheese on it :/it was still amazing! The patty was seasoned so well and tasted very fresh! I’m a big fan of this place now. However I think I’ll pass on the fries next time :)

Ok so we decided to try this place because of the good reviews. First impression, it’s definitely a hole in the wall. As we were walking in, there was a guy outside who asked us for a burger. Thought we should do the right thing and get him one.(fyi people think that it’s a low income community out here in the AV but you practically have to be rich for all those people that are constantly asking for a hand out everywhere you go) He ended up asking if he could also get fries, a drink and a side of bacon. Then he stepped outside and smoked his cigarette and got on his cellphone! The reason I’m writing about him is because apparently he does this all the time(I asked the cashier). He knew the entire menu. We were there with our children trying to have a nice meal and we had this guy sitting next to us the entire time. So next thing, speaking of the cashier, we go to pay and we get a show. She had a loose and low cut blouse that exposed her star tattoo that is centered right in the middle of her breast. Yeah, very professional and that’s exactly what I want my husband and 11 yr old son(who did see it, for obvious reasons) be exposed to. She was the only one working so the food took forever! It all came out to $ 55 dollars so we were at least hopeful that the food would be good. No luck there. The fries were burnt and the burgers were dry! Needless to say that we will not be returning!
