Tim Hortons

We were passing through on a road trip and stopped here. We should’ve stopped somewhere else.

Genesee & Harris Hill location, and now officially my least fave (worse than Thruway).
This place got its name because Tim hired «tons» of «Hors» in his days. I’m not sure what that means, it might be something to do with thoroughbreds and riding, or it might be something to do with Hors D’Euvres. It’s also not very funny because the place is actually, I believe, named after a dead hockey player. And my cousin dated a co-​owner of the entire corporation, so she always tells me.
Edit: They gave me the most horrendous coffee I’ve ever tasted last night, it was literally so bad I almost puked, so did my friend who it was for, and it went straight in the trash. Therefore they are down to a 1.
Double Edit: I was forced to stop at this one because a friend needed a coffee and I was running late, and they said they were closed, at 10.45pm. I don’t know if this one is even supposed to ever close, but certainly not that early. The date was April 23, a Thursday night.

I got a coffee here the other night. It’s a shame because as I’ve said in reviews of other Tim Hortons I absolutely love TH coffee, and I’m not even a coffee drinker. It’s literally like, liquid Coffee Ice Cream. Yum yum. I like the four cream and four sugar… with the large, excellent.
This one, like all the others, has really awful sandwiches and baked goods. Don’t ever get them. Unfortunately the coffee I got from here (for my friend) tasted really old, so I have to give them a 2 instead of my usual 3, which is about the highest you will ever see me give a multi-​state multi-​national chain.
So even though this one has very friendly employees, for the freshest tasting coffee, I’d skip it.

Also, there is the whole scandal involving the manager (former manager?) here and text messaging my friends. I’m not going to name names or shame him but let’s just say that when that sort of person is running a place, it’s not surprised it doesn’t live up to the standards of some of the other locations. Avoid this one.

They served me a rancid bottle of orange juice! First thing I noticed is it was pressurized with gas and popped when I cracked it open. It let out the most rancid smell. I surely would have become sick if I drank any of it. Notice the bubbles in the photo.

This Tim hortons always seems to have a line in the drive thru. They do wait on you very quickly but they need a lesson quickest isn’t always the best. I wouldn’t mind waiting longer if they simply spent the extra time making my coffee taste good. I’ve been to this location a dozen times and they consistently make my coffee wrong. If your looking for a quick bagel with a fast moving line go here… good coffee go somewhere else
