Review for their restaurant — Windows on the Water Dinner here tonight. First time. Had seen the review from July 5th2015, so we were a little skeptical. Arrived at 6:30 pm and they were not busy. Ordered drinks. One was a beer — you have to work hard to screw up a beer. Two drinks(cosmopolitan and bloody mary) were fine. The«perfect manhattan» left something to be desired — to much cherry juice. Special appetizer — crab, avocado, salsa was OK. Dinner — As described in other reviews, the meals are prepared in a facility away from the main restaurant and carried down to the dining room. Ours were fine, but I could see if they are busy that the temperature and preparation could suffer. Boiled shrimp were good, but when you’re paying near $ 20 for shrimp you would expect them to be peeled(If I was in a bar paying $ 10– a dozen I would peel them myself). Fish and chips were good. My crab cakes were fine. Wine by the glass was plentiful but a little on the expensive side — it was a good pour. Need to address service. Our waitperson was very friendly and responsive. During the dinner we confirmed that dinners were prepared«off-site». We explained we had seen a poor review on Unilocal. To their credit, the restaurant manager came over shortly and asked us about the review(She was unfamiliar with Unilocal). We explained how it worked and she acknowledged there were some problems on the holiday weekend and they were trying to address them. Wish them luck.

We ate there last night. The view is great the food is not good. It is cooked up the hill and brought down . My 20.00 entrée arrive ice cold and they asked me if I wanted to reheat my soft shell crab. They did not have time to cook a new one. One of the plates at the table, fish and chips, not edible. The drinks were fine and the music was a very nice addition.

I cannot speak to the marina, but five of us dined at their restaurant — Windows on the Water. Upon first impression, the restaurant looked to be great. The small dining room is inviting and has an amazing view of the water. We were greeted warmly by the waitstaff(1 person) and seated next to the wall-to-wall windows. After our order was taken, we waited an inordinate amount of time for our meals — especially considering there was only one other party(of 2) in the dining room. The wait may be explained by the kitchen being downstairs(seemed odd) and our order was, eventually, brought up by the outside stairs. The food was decent, except for the broken Hollandaise sauce on our Eggs Benedict and soggy hash browns. The mimosa ordered was well made and the glass of wine we spied on the other table, was a generous pour. I would return for drinks and the view on any given day, but the food is questionable.

Excellent Windows on the Water restaurant OR sit by the pool & order at the café. Dock your boat & enjoy the meal, view & small town ambience.
